One of the best L-Dopa supplement available in my opinion
The DopaBean brand of Mucuna works very well. It comes in enteric-coated capsules which deliver a better effective dose. Protein digestion can reduce the amount of L-Dopa that gets delivered, but with the enteric-coating you don’t have to worry as much about when you eat or how much protein you ate.I found that you get a better effective dose using this brand than the Physician’s formula brand. While both brands work, 1-2 of these capsules seems work as well as 2-3 of the Physician’s Formulas.I have ADHD and this works well with my other medications. It actually reduces the dosage needed of the other meds. We both definitely noticed an improvement in mood and libido and my fried was able to stop smoking more easily (so she claims).I also can wake up more easily in the morning.

The WORST Bottle I ever Bought!
—–RE: Bottle I bought in November, 2013.The capsules in this bottle contained what looked like “DIRT” in them. They were hard and dry.I Could not twist open the capsules to pour the contents out. I HAD TO USE A STEAK KNIFE to open them.**When i called SOLARAY to inquire about the capsules in this bottle, which were so different from the capsules in my 1st bottle, obtained in 2008 [and still have, and they still look fresh] THEY WERE RUDE. The “customer service guy told me they were not suppose to be opened and the contents removed. He was so smug.Compared to the Solaray bottle of Dopa Bean that I obtained from another source in 2008, there was MUCH difference. They are larger clear capsules, that are easier to open. I just had to twist them and pour the contents out. the contents are a light tan color. It looks like powder–not dirt.i just refuse to buy any other herbs from ” third party internet” suppliers. I switched to the – NOW – brand that i was able to pick up in a local store.

Excellent enteric coated or safety coated dopa…
I had another brand of dopa that was not enteric coated or safety coated like this brand is. I had an allergic reaction to the other brand. Come to find out someone else mentioned they too had allergic reactions to no enteric coated or safety coated like this brand is and they purchased this brand and the problem went away. The brand dissolves in the small intestine and not the stomach where I was having the problem. No more problem with this enteric coated or safety coated brand. If you are experiencing any allergic or GI problems taking a dopa supplement, give this one a try. It really helps.

It definitely helps my depression!
I did not want to take prescription meds to help my desprresion, so my naturopath put me on Dopa Bean. I don’t know what I would do withouth it! It works! It took all that depression away! I take it in the morning on an empty stomach and wait an hour before eating. I first began taking 2 caps a day and it takes a while for uptake so take it consistently for 4-6 weeks to see the full results. This stuff is amazing. It took away my depression and then I was able to drop down to one pill per day because eventually two pills a day was making me too happy – yes, too happy – I was laughing hysterically at corniest jokes and commercials – so I thought I better take one pill per day and see how I am. Now one pill per day is perfect for me. Hope it helps you!
