quality ingredients but taste terrible
The ingredients are really good. Its very hard to find a vitamin that has these active ingredients in them. I had hoped my children could take these but they taste really bad. They are a chalky consistency and very large. You are also supposed to take two and I couldn’t even get one down them by them selves. They amused me and tried them many different ways since I told them they were good for them. I tried smashing them (they do smash really well and easily!) and hiding in pudding, applesauce and smoothies. I think smoothies would be a good bet for those that like smoothies, unfortunately, my kids don’t care for them. I think a frosty would work too if you were willing to make that every time… in the end, they didn’t work for us because they hated the taste. I ended up taking them myself so they would go to waste and it really gagged me every time, so honestly, they don’t taste good. I hope this product can be made to taste better because we are in need of a tasty multivitamin with active B ingredients.

I’ve been taking SeekingHealth Optimal Multivitamin Chewables for a couple months now and I’m happy with this multivitamin! I tested heterozygous for MTHFR C667T polymorphism so I need methylfolate and active B12s instead of folic acid and B12 in my multivitamin. My diet isn’t always what it should be on top of the problems some medications can cause and I have had some deficiencies. Hopefully, I can finish get replenished with high dose supplements and help avoid future deficiencies with these. A good multivitamin with methylfolate and active B12s at a reasonable price is exactly what I was looking for to help make sure I’m getting what I need. I also like the taste. Good tasting chewable vitamins are like getting to eat a couple good for you pieces of candy everyday. I like this SeekingHealth multivitamin and Dr. Lynch’s helpful mthfr.net web site so well that I may try switching to some of the other comparable SeekingHealth supplements that I take, in the future.

Just the vitamins I have been searching for!
Great vitamins. Like that it has folate. Only complaint is when I received these and opened them dust went everywhere from the vitamins being, I guess, being rough handled… On some of the vitamins the edges were missing like someone had shaken these and that’s where all the vitamin dust came from. I still have to be careful opening them because the dust just goes everywhere. My daughter had bought these from Amazon and hers were not like mine, broken and vitamin dust everywhere, so I figured something damaged them in shipping. But the vitamins are what I was looking for and my nails started growing again!! Best of all is no after taste. Normally I taste vitamins long after I take them but these are not that way, I don’t even notice any upset stomach or taste at all as I have with most other vitamins I have taken. These are the best ones by far…Thanks

Excellent in nutrition and ingredients, but kids don’t like the taste
After a winter of stomach virus, I wanted some substantial non-food nutrients for my children. I love that these vitamins are made with quality ingredients and also MTHFR digestible B vitamins, which is a must for us. However, the taste was iffy. I had to bribe my kids to take them for a month. Lots of tempertantrubs and crying. The taste isn’t *that* bad, but if you have a picky kid, you’ll be in for a fight. They kind of remind me of dog vitamins – a dried-grass kind of smell and taste, with some citrus taste to attempt to overpower. I would purchase them again if we need it, but, in doing so, I know there will be a fight.

Best chewable vitamins I have tried, purchased again.
I really like the ingredients in this multivitamin and with my swallowing difficulties I can’t take any capsules so the chewables are perfect for me. This is a good quality product so I can’t really say that it’s too pricey for what you get. The only thing that’s not the best is the taste, but I don’t think it’s possible to make chewable vitamins without the taste of the ingredients. All in all I love these vitamins and I continue to purchase these. It’s my second bottle. Trust me I’ve tried many vitamins with my swallowing difficulties and these are the best I’ve found so far.

Fantastic!
I am so happy to have found these! I have a double MTHFR mutation and have a cupboard full of vitamins I was taking daily and not seeing changes. I must have been missing the micro-nutrients because this is the only vitamin I have ever noticed any changes! My nails are growing and stronger and I have NEVER had any nail length as they would rip and break (sometimes painful) and were terribly thin. I have more energy and hair loss has subsided. The pills are large, but I expected that, and I think the taste is fine. I enjoy taking these as to swallowing a bunch of capsules. I sometimes split them up between meals. I cannot say enough about this company, and I will take these from here on out!

I love the quality of ingredients in these multivitamins, the fact that they contain the active form of many vitamins including folate. After researching vitamins, these seemed like the best way to go. My kids (ages 2, 5, and 10) all eat these, and I haven’t noticed any negative side effects. My only negative would be that they aren’t quite as tasty as some of the other children’s vitamins. My kids eat them, but they seem to prefer others in taste. I will still continue buying these.UPDATE:The formula has changed. We just opened our new bottle and the kids say they taste better. I noticed they are not as chalky as the old chewables and the ingredients are slightly different (k2 instead of k1, slightly more of some vitamins, folate is in the form of Quatrefolic and calcium folinate rather than Metafolin, xylitol rather than fructose). So far I am happy with the changes as my kids seem to enjoy it and the ingredients are still high quality, but less powder at the bottom and less sugar.(Pictured, New bottle is on the left, old bottle on the right)
