Perfect for my toddler
Ive been taking reishi mushroom pills for a while now and swear by its benefits of taking it so I wanted my daughter to reap its benefits as well. I decided to purchase this because not only does it have reishi but 4 other wonderful mushrooms as well. I put this in my daughters smoothie and the taste is undetectable..it does have an earthly chocolatey smell..which I love. Ever since taking this, my daughters health has been top notch…when my family members around us was getting sick, she has remained happy and healthy for a long time. When she does get sick, shes pretty much better in a couple of days. This product has been so wonderful that Im thinking of switching over to this brand instead of another brand im currently taking. Great Product!
These just arrived yesterday and I am already in love. It is not common for people to feel anything the first time taking (most) supplements/extracts, but I definitely felt the effects when I had these yesterday evening. I am very in tune with my body and can tell when I have the slightest bit of seed oils, sugar, or dairy (excluding raw milk) and anything else that I normally do not consume. The taste was a little strong when I had it in turmeric & ginger tea last night. However, the 5 Blend went well in my coffee and I actually like the taste. I do drink my coffee black, so if you like to jazz up your coffee then I would probably add a little more jazz if putting these in it. I usually drink 3 cups of coffee in the morning, but today I feel completely wired with just two and I will try only having one tomorrow as I feel a little too wired for my liking.If you are looking for specific benefits with using mushrooms then I would do your homework and see which ones work the best to achieve your goals. Also, do your research on the company with any supplements (I did and there are very few that are the real deal, Real Mushrooms is a rarity). Many mushroom extracts (as mentioned in other reviews) can literally be just grain and/or saw dust depending on the manufactures process. Plus, you will want to make sure that if they are coming out of China that they are grown in the mountains, as Real Mushrooms are. Otherwise, soil in the lower elevations of China are depleted and many times the produce will have higher levels of toxic elements.Overall, even though it is only day two, I feel better. I can’t wait to see the benefits as they will only increase with continued use. I will try and update this review in 30 days with the benefits that I am seeing.

Great product!
I bought this product for my 12 year old dog that recently had a bad couple of months of allergies. His immune system was pretty beaten up and he needed a boost. In the first week of taking this product he appeared more energetic and happy. It’s been two weeks now and he’s almost back to his old self. I will continue to buy this product for him and will probably try it myself! This product is expensive but because it’s 100% mushroom with no grains, mycelium or fillers, you’re getting the full benefits of the mushroom and you need less of it.

5 Defenders powder imparts a bitter flavour to black coffee, kind of like an unsweetened dark chocolate. Just started incorporating the 5 mushroom powder into my morning cuppa (two 8 oz cups, 1/4 tsp of the powder in each), so time will tell re: any long term benefits. The powder clumps a little in the liquid but I find that if I stir it in vigorously with about an ounce of coffee to start in the bottom of the cup, it blends quite well and I don’t get any bitter clumps on my tongue. It seems pricey but with the tiny amount that you use every day, it should last quite some time. I like that this is made by a family-run company. Seems more trustworthy that way. I also like that in the description of the product the manufacturer explains what mycelium is and distinctly states that they only use the actual mushroom with no mycelium (like other brands often do, apparently).

Fantastic Product
I love being able to support a Canadian company that has integrity – I will say I was somewhat surprised by the size of the bag & the amount in the bag but as soon as you start to use you can see immediately how concentrated this product is – for example, I mix 1/8 of a tsp ( which is considered a pinch ) I measure it – into my cat’s depleted wet food ( I use wet as a carrier to get supplements into her ) to support her microbiome which I have been building up over the last year and 1/2 with a food-grade probiotic so I have established a good base for a plentiful biome but want to feed her established biome so it can flourish so I came across the 5 defenders for both her and my self to use as a prebiotic to support her immune system and mine – I mixed this pinch into her food and it just expanded and expanded I was surprised how that pinch just took over and created such volume to the morsle of wet food I was using as the a carrier – of course I want her to lick up every last spec of this precious ingredient – I have been using 1/2 tsp measured into my morning coffee and it does not alter the taste that I can distinguish – Although the bag is small it will go along way – My second observation is I love mushrooms and buy them weekly and only organic but I am very fussy when it comes to mushroom – I like to have them raw with dip and defiantly like cooking with them but over the last 2 yrs the price has skyrocketed and to me the quality has gone down – I like my mushrooms pristine because I like to eat them raw if they show any signs of going down hill I can not eat them and then the next thing I know they have to be composted – I know I spend min 8 bucks a week on mushrooms and sometimes more and with all the shrooms I have wasted over the winter I just stopped buying because of the quality that has been out in the store so with that said this product will replace the fresh ones that I will only buy in season if I have a hankering for so really I am not spending much more than I normally would and the best part is no waste and I am positive I am getting way more benefits for my $ and less mess – I am sold and Thanks for such a great product – I will update in a few months on any efficacies I detect

Real Mushrooms 5 Defenders Powder has changed my life! For the past 4 years, I’ve had to take an antiviral (Valacylclovir ) every single day or I’d suffer (herpes simplex virus / HSV-2). If I skipped or forgot even just a couple days, a terrible outbreak would surface to remind me to take the huge pills. I’m just so happy I finally did. It has now been almost 2 MONTHS straight without meds and just taking 5 Defenders every day. I take the recommended dose in my morning smoothie. I also purchased the capsules for travel or days when I’m not having a smoothie.I really feel like I found a miracle! I had tried to get off my meds even as recent as just 2 weeks prior to purchasing this…and it was the same as it had always been…outbreak within a few short days. They claim herpes gets better with time, but for me it stayed the same over 4 years no matter what I did….until I started taking this product. Life Changing – no exaggeration
I did a deep AI dive into medicinal mushrooms before buying anything, and Real Mushrooms kept coming up as the most trustworthy option. I’ve been using 5 Defenders and the Cordyceps Militaris for a few weeks now, and I’m honestly surprised by how much of a difference they’ve made. My digestive issues have calmed down so much that my IBS symptoms have basically disappeared. I’m also falling asleep more easily and waking up feeling genuinely rested, which hasn’t been the case for a long time. I add it to my coffee, I couldn’t imagine it would be tolerable with anything else . you have to pour a small amount of coffee over the powder and kind of beat it into submission to blend it. Quality packaging; no weird taste
Just used it for the first time..It mixes well with my morning protein shake and no weird taste. I can’t attest to the effects of the product at this time as Ive only had the first use this morning, however, if going from the quality of the package itself including the zipper zeal, and considering the care put into the smoothness of the powder, if this is any indicator at all, I do expect this product to be a good purchase.

The real deal
This is my first time using this product.Blend: 1 cup of original almond milk, 1 half teaspoon of mushroom powder, 1 teaspoon of raw real honey bring it to a boil. Turn off the pot, pour it into a cup. It taste really good, i thought it would taste bitter and disgusting. However it taste similar to coffee and hot cao cao.Experience: My parents both drink this stuff every morning. The first 3 days i experience a headache, followed by dizziness and a little drowsy. This stuff does make you calm, doesn’t make you fall asleep. My dad ate a box of pizza, it gave him a stomache and flu. The next day he drank the mushroom powder and it made him feel very full for the whole day. I think this stuff makes you lose weight and feel full. After a couple of days later both my parents and i felt more energize. We had so much energy, more then we did in years.. After being immune to the powder the headache eventually went away. My dad’s flu was gone. This stuff really works.Price: Compare to other product brands out there this one cost the most. I think i shelled out $40 for 2 oz of mushroom powder, which is astronomically ridiculous. The package is very small, about the same size as my cell phone. (attach photo) I think i prefer other products such as sacred 7 or chi chaga which contains 8 oz, but i can’t vindicate their authenticity.
