Rainbow Light is a company that I have purchased from for many years. I swore by it’s Menopause One vitamin when I was going through that and it saved my life. I have researched the quality and the reputation of this company and it is stellar.My son is one of the people who has the need to supplement because of genetics, and he has to take this on a daily basis. I feel much better about finding a bottle of l-methylfolate made by Rainbow Light because of my experience with vitamins from this company.Rainbow Light is a USA manufacturing company that produces products under FDA oversight using good manufacturing practices. None of their products are made in foreign countries who have questionable sanitation practices. I feel very good about the quality and the safety of products from this company and would highly recommend them to anyone.The price is fair, the quality is exceptional. A good form of true folate, not synthetic folic acid
Like a lot of people are finding out these days, I can’t take folic acid. *Folate* is the natural form of vitamin B9 and is found in foods like dark leafy greens, beans, liver, and eggs. But *folic acid* is synthetic and created in a lab, not in nature, and for me it’s actively bad to take it. I even have to avoid foods that are ‘fortified’ with it. I try to get most of my daily nutritional needs from eating whole foods, but it’s hard for me to do that with folate and some of the other B vitamins.The L-Methylfolate form that is in these capsules works very well for me, as does the B12 Methylcobalamin. I haven’t really though of saffron as a nutrient before, just a flavoring in meals, but I’ve read a little about it and I’m happy to have that in these capsules, too. I’ve been very impressed by other Rainbow Light products that I tried because of their minimal additional ingredients, and especially because they are free of so many allergens.The amount in a single capsule is enough for me and I don’t need to take two a day, so this bottle will last for two months, not just one. The capsules are not large and are easy to swallow and I haven’t had any negative effects after taking them.

Pretty good for the price.
I used to buy this supplement from a certain “pro” brand that others are probably familiar with, but it became too expensive for me to continue it. This one is about half to 2/3 of the price, when you factor in that each capsule is actually 7.5mg. (One serving is 2 capsules, so this is actually a 30-day supply if you intend to take the full 15mg.) Either way, it’s a better value, and my preference is to take a single 7.5mg capsule daily.I appreciate that this supplement also provides an extra B12 boost, and the ingredients are all vegan. I could do without the magnesium stearate, but its inclusion is not a dealbreaker. There is no aftertaste and I do not have any negative side effects to report. Overall I think it’s a good quality supplement from a reputable brand.

Reputable, streamlined supplement
I’ve purchased Rainbow Light supplements in the past and have been happy with the brand. I find it to be a nice compromise between quality and price since some of these specialty brands charge a real premium. That said, I don’t mind paying a small one since it’s an unregulated field and a little extra cost for a trusted brand is worth it.I’ve always struggled with mood and energy. After doing the home dna testing, I’ve learned that I carry the mutation that can affect the methylation cycle so I’ve been trying out different supplements to address that. Methylated folate and b12 are something I’ve found to help so this was a perfect fit. I particularly like that since isn’t a broad range of b vitamins and misc things. I get the appeal of the kitchen sink style combos but as I’m trying to figure out what works for me specifically, it’s easier to deal with fewer variables and I have to think less to make sure I’m not overlapping too much with other supplements.I found these reasonably effective. I have noticed some small improvements in mood and energy after using them for a few weeks. The capsules are pretty standard, not tiny but not huge either. They seem on par with the other b vitamin/folate supplements I’ve tried in the past in terms of size. The two capsule does is also fairly standard. They’re reasonably easy to swallow without a noticeable taste or smell. Value is decent, it’s a reasonable cost for a methylated supplement but a particularly good deal next to random brands. I like to pay a little extra for quality assurance so good value in well known brands, mediocre compared to less known generics so that’s a personal question for which aspect you value more.

Rainbow Light is a well-established brand with many high-quality products, which I had some experience with, but I wasn’t expecting quite how tiny this bottle was going to be. Not a bad thing; it saves space in my cupboard, just a surprise since it’s like a miniature version of the multivitamin bottles I’ve had from the same company.L-methylfolate is more easily absorbed than folic acid because it’s already in the form that the body can use. The 15mg dose that you get from two (not one!) of these capsules has been specifically studied with some promising results for “a positive mood… mood balance and well-being,” as the wording on the front of the bottle puts it. The capsule size, as shown in the photos, is on the small side, but not too small to pick up easily. I found them very easy to swallow.Methylcobalamin, or methyl B12, is likewise the form of B12 that’s most readily available, although it also may have a shorter shelf-stable life than the more common cyanocobalamin form, so you want this product to be fresh when you take it. The bottle I received in March 2026 is good until 1/2029, so that puts it well inside the “fresh” stage.Saffron extract is the third and final supplement ingredient listed, with other ingredients including rice powder, vegan capsule, vegetable magnesium stearate, and silica.Simple, high-quality ingredients from a brand I know and trust; if only it didn’t add up to so much per year at the two-capsules-per-day price, it’d be just about perfect. As it is, it’s super pricey, but practically perfect in every other way.
