The bottle looks exactly as shown in product images and the ingredient list and nutrition info is consistent with product info and images.I have been a long time user of a really good astaxanthin supplement. I think it’s an essential nutrient that most of us don’t get enough of unless we eat a lot of seafood. In addition to supporting eye health, it effects skin health and appearance. I can tell when I’ve been taking my good astaxanthin by the appearance and even hue of my skin, it’s slight but it does show. I’ve been taking this astaxanthin for about a week after stopping my other brand for a month, and my skin looks like it does with the really good brand I was taking. I’ll update if there is a change, this bottle contains a 2 month supply so that should be time enough to tell any difference.The current price of this astaxanthin supplement is about $40 for this 2 month supply. I know that seems like a lot for one nutrient but it’s a very good price for this particular nutrient. I wouldn’t consider this a luxury, especially since it supports eye health. I have been using various Rainbow Light supplements for many years. I found it to be a quality brand with supplements that actually work. They are also usually suitable for vegetarians, so I was surprized to find that this supplement contains gelatin. Other than that, the softgels are easy to swallow with no aftertaste. I haven’t noticed any side effects. The price is very high, though, so I don’t think I will get this supplement again.
