My calcium arrived, and I promptly opened the bottle, took out the recommended dosage, and began to chew – a MOST serious mistake!I don’t know why all of the reviews here talk about taste and texture. The lozenge shape made me wonder, but it only took a second to confirm that these tabs were never meant to be used in any other way than to be swallowed like any other non-chewable supplement.That being said, they really are smaller and much easier to get down than that terrible horse-pill size that most calcium supplements come in. If you want an easy-to-swallow pill, this is a definite best choice. If you are looking for one that you can chew, well, keep looking. This isn’t it.I rated this a five as the bottle itself doesn’t claim to be anything other than a smaller, easier-to-swallow supplement.

Great But Not Indispensable
I bought these and have been taking them in conjunction with Rainbow Light’s Advanced Nutritional System. While I love these, I am genuinely unsure if I will be repurchasing and here is why:The quality is wonderful (hence the automatic 4 stars right off the bat) however the product itself is not indispensable in such a way that you notice a difference (like the Advanced Nutritional System). It does deliver you your necessary calcium and vitamin D needs, however compared to potentially another cheaper food based calcium vitamin with added D which you might find, I can’t say that this specific product is superior.The packaging of the pills themselves was well executed and I didn’t have a single chipped or broken pill. The bottle was also easy open, no child proofing.Basically, these calcium tabs get the job done. They are in fact small. They don’t smell. They aren’t coated but shouldn’t bother your stomach. They are easy to take – just be advised that you will need to take 4 tabs to get your full serving. There isn’t a weird taste. There’s nothing particularly wrong with these but there is nothing to write home about either considering the wonderful health improvement (which I could physically feel) I have had from other Rainbow Light products.

I bought these because the name makes you believe they are mini but they’re not very mini. Not quite as described but they still work if you’re having swallowing issues (crushing may be needed for some). They did arrive on time.

These are small pills. Not you normal big calcium pills.
These are tiny pills. You need to take more pills to get the same dose. Because they are smaller, they are easier to swallow. I cannot attest to their taste because I cannot taste them. And I do not have the equipment to attest to their absorbency.

Contaminated Bottle – Absolutely Unacceptable
First time buying — found a bug inside the sealed bottle!This was my first time ordering Rainbow Light Calcium Citrate Mini Tablets, and I’ll never buy them again. The tablets are definitely not “mini” — they’re big and hard to swallow, which already felt misleading.But the real shock came when I opened the bottle. At first, I thought I saw a small piece of cardboard or packaging stuck inside. When I shined a flashlight, I realized it was actually a brown bug inside the sealed container. I was completely disgusted.Amazon refunded me immediately (thank you, Amazon), but this is a serious quality control issue. I can’t believe something like that made it into a sealed supplement bottle. Check your bottles carefully!
