I like this brand, it’s been around a long time. I was concerned these mushroom-based supplements might have a smell, but they really don’t. Just a slight herb-like smell. They look vibrant and fresh.If you are interested in taking mushrooms you should research them and see if they make sense for your.

Over the past 3 months, I have regularly taken these Puritan’s Pride triple mushroom complex supplements and have experienced good effects from doing so.The package includes two bottles. Each bottle is well sealed and contains 60 capsules. On the bottle is a breakdown of the precise amount of each type of mushroom powder in each capsule (see photos). The manufacturer’s name, address, and phone number are also on the bottle, and this product is made in the U.S. by Puritan’s Pride, a longstanding U.S. company known for good quality supplements over many decades in the U.S. These things altogether gave me some confidence in the purity and quality of this product.Nonetheless, as with all supplements I get and take, before taking these I opened one of the capsules to smell, examine, and taste the powder inside to get an idea of its quality and purity. On microscopy, I could see plenty of mushroom cells and clumps of cells in the powder, consistent with the powder containing and being made of pulverized mushrooms. In taste testing it, the powder has earthy, chocolatey, rich, nutty, woodsy, and smooth flavors consistent with Reishi, Shitake, and Maitake mushrooms. The powder also had a smell consistent with the smells of such mushrooms. Upon these bases, I began consuming the capsules at the recommended rate of 1 capsule per serving, once or twice daily.After and while taking them, I did experience more robust energy, stamina, pain tolerance, wound healing, and immune function (fewer and less severe infections, decreased irritation from allergens, less sinus inflammation, etc.). I particularly like that each capsule contains the amount of each mushroom indicated in a serving on the bottle, so there is no mystery or question as to how much of each kind of mushroom I am getting in each capsule. After years of taking mushroom supplements at the rate of 2-3 capsules per serving, I was initially a little skeptical of whether the 1 capsule serving of this supplement would be helpful, but after taking such for merely a few days I began to notice and feel the abovementioned benefits of such. Wow! These capsules actually pack a powerful punch of mushroom potency that is far stronger than many other mushroom supplements I have tried.Given their potency and their current price (merely $20 dollars for these two bottles at the time of this review), this is absolutely a great value for the money and one of those extremely rare deals where the product’s value greatly exceeds its cost. With these two bottles, I can get four months of more robust energy, stamina, pain tolerance, wound healing, and immune function, and such to me is worth every penny of $20 dollars are even much much more.I am super-critical of supplements due to problems in the supplement industry and due to greatly valuing my own health. This Puritan’s Pride triple mushroom complex has a powerful potency and has truly given me the abovementioned health benefits I have experienced from such. Because this is genuinely a great product and made under stringent U.S. standards, I strongly recommend such to anyone looking for an excellent high potency mushroom complex supplement. Supplements are always difficult for me to review, because I’m never certain whether I’m experiencing a placebo effect or an actual result. What I’ve been doing lately, as I try out various functional mushroom supplements, has been to replace my go-to with the new supplement that I’m trying that day, and then see if I feel more, less or the same amount of energy.I’m happy to report that today, in trying Puritan’s Pride, I felt at least as energetic, if not more. I had a lot to do today, as we are going out of town tomorrow and so I needed to prepare a ton of food for our wildlife sanctuary. I’d planned on just focusing on that task, but ended up also air-frying some lightly breaded zucchini (homemade, first time ever), as well as creating a from-scratch marinade for some tofu that I’m going to dehydrate. I also took a hike with one of our dogs, and dyed my hair. Basically, I did more than planned today, and yet I still feel very energized as I write this review, close to 7pm. And I’ve only had one capsule, at 11am today. I still can take a second, according to the bottle!The ingredients are clean, and I like that the dosage is only one capsule, and that you can take it twice a day. Most of the functional mushroom supplements I’ve tried are either two capsules once a day, or two capsules four times a day. That makes the in particular a great value for the money.I plan on replacing my current functional mushroom gummy supplement with these from Puritan’s Pride!!

This set comes with two bottles of 30 each which I really like because it helps keep the capsules fresher longer. The bottles are double sealed with one seal around the outside of the two pack and another under each cap. The cap has a convenient pop up lid for easy dispensing that snaps closed tightly or you can unscrew it the traditional way. It’s a nice touch and I wish more companies would offer this.The capsules smell earthy like mushrooms and are a medium size that is easy to swallow. They are filled completely with very fine powder. I included a photo of one next to a measuring tape and a dime for size reference. Each capsule is about seven eighths of an inch long. I also opened one so you can see the fine texture of the powder inside.Aside from the mushroom extracts, the other ingredients are vegetable cellulose (the capsule) and vegetable magnesium stearate which I’m pretty sure helps keep the ingredients from sticking when they are making them. The instructions say to take one or two capsules a day preferably with meals so you get either a 30 or 60 day supply depending on how you use them.They are made in the USA from a trusted brand which gives me peace of mind. Also, they arrived fresh as the expiration date is close to 3 years from when I received them.I received this item through the Vine Program, but I always give my honest, unbiased opinion so you can shop with confidence.
