    Questionable benefits from primary active ingredient

    I was pleased to see that my order arrived with a safety seal around the cap, and with an expiration date of 2/28/2026.Please note that notwithstanding the inclusion of D3, B6 and Zinc in this supplement, I wouldn’t call it a multivitamin, it’s really a targeted supplement you’d want to take in addition to whatever broad-spectrum multivitamin you choose.That said, I do question whether beta-sitosterol, the highlighted ingredient in this supplement, actually does what is claimed on the product page – that is, shrink the prostate. Although studies have apparently shown it can lower cholesterol (in sufficient quantities – which raises another issue: the product lists the “amount per serving” for the ‘blend’ that contains beta-sitosterol, but does not specify the actual amount of that ingredient within the group), evidentiary support is scarce on the benefits for enlarged prostate.So although this seems to contain quality ingredients, made in the U.S. in an FDA- and GMP- certified facility, I wouldn’t get expectations too high. Indeed, my own brief experience with this supplement has not shown any change in overnight bathroom trips etc.Finally, please also note that this 90-pill bottle is actually a 45-day supply, as the instructions call for 2 pills per day.

    Good prostate support supplement verifiably manufactured in an FDA-approved facility in the US!

    I started noticing an enlarged prostate about 10 years ago, and in the last few years I need to get up between 1-4 times at night. Not good for sleep quality as per my fitness band. Two years ago, I read an scientific article saying that pumpkin seed oil is not only very yummy and healthy on your salad, but also helps reduce prostate function issues including frequent nightly urinating. I didn’t realize that Beta Sitosterol and Zn were the compounds in pumpkin seeds that would do the trick until I bought this supplement.So I am happy to test this supplement, which should have higher concentrations, to see if it indeed can help with reducing my nightly toilet runs. I don’t expect wonders but hope that I get my nightly toilet visits down to zero to 1. I think that using pumpkin seed oil on my salad helped a bit, but thats of course anecdotal, plus of course, reducing liquid intake in the hours before bedtime is important. One reviewer said it didn’t help with shrinking the prostate. It seems they just started selling it a week ago so how long did you take it? Again, one shouldn’t expect wonders. It actually doesn’t claim it shrinks the prostate, but that it may help with frequent urination, and hence may support good sleep. This, if it works for me, will justify for me getting the supplement regularly. I have high hopes since there are various scientific studies on Beta Sitosterol and pumpkin seed oil that may support this claim.I do like that my vit D and also polyphenols are part of the supplement, so that saves me taking several pills at the same time. These are mostly compounds I take anyways and that I believe are essential for me and again show some evidence that they may help with overall health.I am also extremely happy about the transparency of this product. Many supplement vendors have some digital/virtual mailbox addresses and nobody knows whether these supplements are produced in the US, in India or China. Nobody can verify any claims about source and GMP certification etc. In contrast, this one is one of the few that clearly state the manufacturing site, a women-owned company that is verifiably FDA-approved and in the US. Way to go!

    Better than Expectations

    I was diagnosed by my doctor with benign prostatic hyperplasia. Two or more nightly visits for urination was seriously affecting my sleep quality. Doctor prescribed me with Tamsulosin which solved the after mentioned problem but also caused me breathing issues due to that the medication would swell my nasal passages..I suspended the medication after a few months.I tried non prescription Saw Palmetto with unsatisfactory results.Having tried this product, and being somewhat skeptical of results, I was pleasantly surprised that I could spend the night without bathroom visits. It seems that the active ingredient, beta sitosterol prostate supplement actually helps to temporarily shrink the prostate, releasing the urethra from the pressure that keeps you from urinating normally. There are other components in the capsules but are mainly general vitamins.Please note that there is a notice that the FDA has not evaluated this product.Two observations: In the description there is a mention that there are 45 capsules in the bottle but actually there are 90. (see last image) . Also, notice in the image the size of the capsules, they are 1300 mg which are kind of hard to swallow. I wish capsules were smaller or in a powder version for easier intake.Hope I have been clear enough but note that this has been my personal experience that may not apply to yourself.

    Prostate supplement, husband approved

    My husband has a prostate supplement that he takes regularly, so we thought he’d change things up a bit and try this brand. His other one has 180 mg of Beta Sitosterol (among many other things) and this brand doesn’t tell you the specific mg of Beta Sitosterol, but they list the total mg of their proprietary blend for prostate aid. Hence 4 stars in stead of 5.However, we do like that this supplement includes some other vitamins that he needs to take (D3, B6, & Zinc). After some time of taking these, he doesn’t see much of a difference in his prostate issues, but doesn’t see a decline either so that’s a plus in my book. It’s nice to have these as an alternative, they are a better price overall, and although they don’t state that they are 3rd party tested, they are made in the USA and GMP certified so I’m more confident to order again.
