Well made SIRT 1 activator supplement from reputable company
Appears to be a well made supplement from a reputable company – ProHealth. I liked that this is a certified product that was triple lab tested and made in USA . Capsules are easy to swallow, only have to take once a day . I did not notice any aftertaste or side effects. I was mainly interested in trying this supplement after doing some reading about SIRT 1 activators as it appears they focus on supporting cellular health, improving metabolism and reducing inflammation in addition to other health benefits. Too early to tell how effective product is as only taking it a few weeks and true benefits likely take minimum of 4 weeks to 12 weeks from what I read on internet. At time of my order, product was priced at $39.95 for bottle of 60 capsules which is a 2 month supply and a bit on the higher side which is why I gave it 4 stars. I did see online that manufacturer has a bottle on sale at $27.97 which is a very good price point and value if you can catch one of these sales.

Bioavailability concerns, due to the minimal quantities of its ingredients.
I’ve tried various products from this company and believe that they are more reputable than most other brands which sell their products largely on E-commerce sites.I liked seeing a dual formula offered, which I ordered to complement my NAD+ precursor supplementation. But per my studies on the subject, Trans-resveratrol suffers from low bioavailability, whereas Trans-pterostilbene is generally thought to have a reasonably high oral bioavailability. The estimated bioavailability for Trans-resveratrol is around 20% (or less) due to rapid breakdown in the gut and liver, but Trans-pterostilbene is thought to reach 80% or higher.It is also my understanding that taking either of them in a liposomal delivered form, considerably increases our ability to benefit from consuming them. While there are liposomal and enteric capsulized products on the market and while this company sells other supplements which are delivered in liposomal form, this one is not.I like that there aren’t a bunch of unpronounceable ingredients in this formula, but performance capability wise, I’m not convinced that this offers much benefit due to the ingredients known bioavailability rates. Based on the above statistics, while Trans-pterostilbene has a higher availability, this formulation contains only 50mg, of which 40mg may benefit the body, but out of 200mg of Trans-resveratrol, only 40mg or less may benefit the body.While others may disagree with me, I simply don’t see the likelihood of much benefit being gained by the consumption of this product.

Their supplements are manufactured in FDA-registered, GMP-certified facilities, and each batch is independently tested by third-party laboratories for quality, purity, and potency.I’ve added ProHealth’s Sirtuin 1 Activator to my supplement routine because it combines resveratrol and pterostilbene, two compounds that have been studied for their effects on SIRT1 and cellular health. The following is my honest review and personal opinion of this supplement from the PROHEALTH company. I have ordered from this company before and I must say, yet again they do NOT disappoint! I will layout a quick synopsis of what sirtuin is and does in laymen’s terms: This “activating compound” is either a natural or synthetic substance that stimulates and heightens the activity of sirtuins (a group of specialized proteins that help/encourage/aid in repair of your cells damaged DNA and can help regulate your metabolism which then assists with healthy aging. Sirtuins support cellular health, but in order to do so, they require a coenzyme called NAD+ to function properly. When an activator (like this sirtuin-1 activator supplement) stimulates these proteins, that action “mimics” the positive health effects of eating fewer calories, promoting cell survival and maintenance. Think of taking these like doing a few days worth of “fasting” (not eating)…If you do not yet know the many health benefits of gained from fasting, please, please, please look it up for your own good 🙂 Ok onto the review of these capsules. There is a very faint odor when opening the lid, but it is not really noticeable. These are the average size of capsule and easy for me to swallow with some water and do not get stuck in my throat. This bottle provides a 2 months supply by giving you 60 capsules at a suggested dosage of 1 X day. The capsules are vegi. based (rice flour) and are made in a GMP-facility in the USA from globally sourced ingredients. I really do like the PROHEALTH company and feel their products are all legit (unlike some other sellers on here). Plus I love the fact that they show their proof of 3rd-party testing! ProHealth is located in California and on all their products (including this one) you will find their toll-free number for any questions or concerns. Pricewise, yes, I do feel their products are a bit pricier than others, BUT they have proven themselves to me and I have NEVER been disappointed in any of their other quality “healthy-aging” products they produce.

I use supplements to help close the gap between modern nutrition levels in our food and the levels that were there when I was young. But, in my opinion, the supplement industry has both some of the highest integrity companies and some of the lowest. So I try to give a detailed enough review to help you know the company and product better, so you can determine for yourself whether or not you want to try this one out.This bottle comes entirely wrapped in plastic and less than half full, which is one of my pet peeves with many supplement companies. I would prefer they put in more capsules and/or use a smaller bottle.If used as directed each bottle will last two months.The expiration date on mine is Nov 2027.The capsules have barely any scent or taste, and are easy to swallow with water.I like my supplements to say organic, non-GMO, GMP-certified, 3rd-party tested, and made in the USA. These say 3rd-party tested, GMP-certified, and USA manufactured.I look into the supplement companies I use because I’ve come across so many questionable ones. ProHealth puts their phone number on the bottle as well as an international number. The product information page says they have been operating since 1988 and there is analytical test report in the pictures. Their ProHealth site is both functional and informative. They not only have customer service, but a chat feature on their site with “longevity experts” who you can chat with about your supplement questions and needs. The bios of their medical advisors are also on the site.
