My favorite cycloastragenol
Apart from cycloastragenol working well from every company I’ve bought from, I like this one the most because it has rice flour (as the excipient). Rice flour is not highly processed, and I just think it feels better than maltodextrin for example. Some other brands use lactose as the excipient, which I’ve tried, and which felt good, but I wanted to try to be more vegan so I think this from ProHealth is the perfect choice according to what I see in the ingredients.

Ok, so I ordered this because it’s one of the life extension fads and maybe it will suddenly imbue me with youth, or at worst be a sort of yourh placebo which might not hurt. I didn’t expect this to do anything.I took one with water first thing in the morning and felt different quite quickly. Is it youth? I donno. Is it *good*? Probably, it was an feeling like calm focus, which is hard to define or explain, except that I was productive and didn’t need coffee. Its a unique feeling but in the same ballpark as other “nootropics” intended for mental clarity.There’s zero chance of feeling any effect on telomeres, so I’m guessing this has a broader physiological effect. Aatralagus is an herb recommended for such a broad array of health issues (without much / any supporting research) that it’s hard to even guess a general single effect of the herb.It certainly does *something*. I just wish I understood what that was.

Quality supplement from a quality company
Supplements help close the gap between modern nutrition levels in our food, and the levels that were there when I was young. But, in my opinion, the supplement industry has both some of the highest integrity companies, and some of the lowest. So I try and give a detailed enough review that you can determine for yourself if you want to try this one out or not.This comes entirely encased in plastic. The one benefit of that is it kept Amazon’s sticker from getting put on the label, usually right on top of what I need to read.I love ProHealth’s bottles and labels. The label feels so good it’s almost fidgety.This bottle comes about 20% full, which is one of my pet peeves with many supplement companies. If used as directed it will last one month. I’d prefer they put in more capsules and/or use a smaller bottle.The expiration date on mine is Apr 2026, so a little more than 1.5 years from now.There is a light scent and taste to the capsules, and they are easy to swallow with water.I like my supplement bottles to say organic, non-GMO, GMP-certified, 3rd-party, and made in USA. This says GMP-certified, 3rd-party tested, USA manufactured, and 100% satisfaction guarantee (which is nice since Amazon doesn’t accept returns on supplements). The product page says shows an Analytical Test Report dated the month this bottle was manufactured.I look into the supplement companies I use because I’ve come across so many questionable ones. ProHealth not only put their phone number on the bottle, but an international number as well. Their ProHealth site is functional as well as informative. They not only have customer service, but they have a chat on their site with “longevity experts” who you can chat with about your supplement questions and needs. The bios of their medical advisors are also on the site. There is too much to list, you need to check out the site.I seem to take longer than most to see results when starting a new supplement, but I am impressed by the company and like the quality of the ingredients, including the lack of fillers that many companies say they need to use, but the manufacturers of the highest quality supplements that I am aware of refuse to.Thank you for reading, I hope it was helpful.

A naturopath’s perspective…
This is a good quality supplement brand, which is why I decided to try the supplement. Cycloastragenol is derived from astragalus, an herb with possible immune, inflammation, and aging benefits. I have noticed these benefits from taking this isolate.However, personally, I prefer using whole foods/herbs over isolates due to unknown possible health effects. The whole food matrix is complex and sometimes isolating certain components can cause harm, as is the case with high doses of carotenoids like beta-carotene… researchers assumed isolating beta-carotene would provide the same benefits to health as consuming the whole food, but quickly discovered it had an opposite effect. So I have concerns about this for that same reason.Perhaps taking astragalus would be safer in the long term. Especially considering this has a theoretical concern of cell growth, so use caution if you have a history of cancer.

The research into cycloastragenol is quite interesting
As I get older I am looking for ways improve my health and slow down the aging process. When I saw this product listing I did some research on cycloastragenol. I was intrigued to say the least. When I was given the chance to try this product I ordered.it.It’s been about a week and I haven’t noticed any differences. This product is fairly pricy for a month’s supply, but the quality seems to be there. If I see a noticeable difference by the time I finish the bottle, I hope this turns out to be an effective addition to my supplement regime.

I’ve been taking for almost 3 weeks. No big dramatic changes, but I did notice a slight reduction in appetite and improved energy throughout the day by the end of the first week. Third Party Lab Tested and Works well with my Epitalon !
I got this because twice a year I like to to try and activate my telomerase activity. Telomerase is an enzyme that helps keep the cells alive by adding DNA to the telomeres. It is thought that Cycloastragenol may help with this possibly through its association with increasing Nrf2 which regulates telomerase. And also may help possibly with an increased expression of hTERT (human telomerase reverse transcriptase) according to some studies. hTERT is a protein found in the telomerase enzyme. The ability to maintain/extend ones telomeres has a possibly a significant effect on how the aging process could be altered imo. There is only one study with humans that was Not funded by a company promoting their product that I’m personally aware of ( not to say there are not others) which was done in Russia. And while it looked promising it’s questionable how accurate/truthful the study was. And too epitalon was used which is similar to cycloastragenol with it’s supposed effect on telomeres. These two ingredients cycloastragenol and epiatoln are possibly currently our best prospects with telomere health as far as I know and Gotu Kola becoming a recent possibility as well. Cycloastragenol has a benefit imo of being possibly effective with the oral route unlike epitalon. When I do my bi-annual regimen I like to take 20mgs of cycloastragenol along with 100mgs of Epitalon so I get a synergistic approach. One of the reasons I only do this twice a year is because it’s not cheap at all imo. And because of that I absolutely require using a brand that legitimately third party lab test the ingredients and do this test in the USA/UK or Canada or a country with regulated oversight with lab testing. This brand always does their testing the right way imo and unlike many other brands have no problem posting their test results for you to see. No need to ask for it and a nothing to hide attitude. There are so many aspects imo of this brand that are superior to others,, that I really can see the name ‘Prohealth” as fitting imo. When I take this I never notice or feel anything which makes sense to me since this is associated with health at the DNA level. Some however report better sleep which I never personally noticed. Cycloastragenol is possibly a very strong antioxidant and that might be noticed if ones health improved by that. I take this supplement mostly on faith it’s doing its deal and for this ingredient this is definitely a company I would use for it. Good Luck and I Hope this was Helpful.

Prohealth longevity
Cycloastragenol is thought to increase telomorase activity to inhibit cellular senescense which can have anti-aging benefits. I would encourage anyone to do some research into the possible benefits and side effects before taking. As I am starting to get older I have become more interested in trying products that result in a healthier aging process, and I think this can be an important component of thatI also trust the Prohealth brand. It can be hard to know who produces quality supplements with the huge amount of brands out there, so I appreciate that Prohealth publishes third party testing to ensure safety and quality. I have used several of their products and feel comfortable that the ingredient list is accurate. Their supplements do tend to be a bit more expensive, but it is worth it in my opinion to get a quality supplementThis comes with 30 capsules for a 30 day supply with a 1 capsule/day serving size
