The L-Glutamate /GABA relationship is critical for body and mind
This is a very economical 4 pack L-Glutamate with 180 capsules in each bottle. That works out to about 9 cents a capsule. The directions say take one 600 mg capsule daily. At that rate these will last almost 2 years. Some body builders may take more than that but I’m a senior over 65 and I take it more for mental energy and gut health/integrity. I have food sensitivities that can irritate the gut lining. L-Glutamate is my go-to for helping get over these flare ups along with zinc carnosine.Glutamate and GABA are two crucial neurotransmitters in the brain that support physiological and cognitive functions. Glutamate is the main excited neurotransmitter and GABA the main calming neurotransmitter, meaning glutamate helps nerve cells and brain neurons to fire more efficiently, while its counterpart GABA slows the firing of nerves and brain neurons and helps us to relax and sleep. It’s important to keep these 2 neurotransmitters in balance. Too much glutamate (think MSG and Chinese food headache) can have bad effects when the brain can’t clear excess glutamate so don’t be tempted to take more than recommended. This 600 mg once a day seems to be the sweet spot for me. I take it early in the day for clearer thinking and energy. The most efficient way to get enough GABA for resting well at night is to have enough L-Glutamate. The body converts L-Glutamate into GABA according to our circadian rhythm so what gives us a boost during the day can also help unwind and relax at night. This is a win-win! I can feel the difference.

Works as advertised, as long as you do your part…
So the first that that really drew me to this supplement was the pack size … 4 whole bottles. If you check the doseage – that’s a full 2 year supply – awesome! As for energy, and quality, and effectiveness – I couple this with a daily “Fruits and veggies” type vitamin, as well as my allergy meds, and Omeprazole, a lot of pills in the morning. The thing I notice immediately with these are no mid-day crash, lots of energy with zero jitters, and there is a little something of a probiotic effect with these as well. There’s no real “taste” so to speak since it’s in a gelcap – and if you burp after taking one, there’s no odd taste or scent coming back up too. As for how it mixes with other supplements.. well, look at my above daily regimen – works just fine. As the weather warms, I’ve been doing a lot more outdoor activity – with a lot of heavy lifting, the “day after aches” are still there, but today is day 2 and the recovery time is improved, even for a guy in his mid-40’s. Granted, this is with some dietary scrutinizing, ultra-hot showers, stretches, and a good night’s sleep. If you do your part, this helps and does it’s part as well.

Great value recovery supplement
I was recommended to try L-glutamine supplements after workouts to reduce soreness. I can safely say after a few months of taking these, I have noticed I get much less sore after strenuous weight lifting sessions. This bundle actually comes at a really good value (180 capsules x 4 bottles), so it’ll set you up for basically 2 years at a really decent price point.

These capsules show made from quality ingredients according to the label. They are easy to swallow and have no taste that I can detect. I’ve taken them for a few weeks, and while I can’t say for certain, I do seem to feel better with the addition of the creatin and other muscle building supplments.

I love this supplement because it works! I have been taking it for 6 months, and I bought my second bottle. At least for me, it does what advertises. I have quick muscle recovery, gut health, and I haven’t gotten sick since I started taking it, so I will confirm that it is helping my immunity.I also love that it is only 1 capsule a day, and the price is fabulous! Try for yourself.

I do a lot of hiking and physical labor for my job leaving me pretty drained and physically in pain every day. My son suggested I supplement with L Glutamine to help with body recovery.I am unsure at this point how much is a decent recommended dose of L Glutamine so I feel incapable of noting the dose size however I did see that additional ingredients include “Magnesium sterate and rice flour”. I’m already supplementing magnesium so I wish they would have noted how much and I don’t understand the rice flour filler on these which seems unnecessary for a supplement. Reviewing other L Glutamine supplements it appears the mg dosage is all over the place.I like the fact these are advertised as made in the USA, 3rd party tested and good manufacturing practices compliant. I wish there was a link to their certification, but it is not listed on their web site or Amazon store. Their address is also a PO box rather than a brick and mortar location as well which makes me a little more hesitant about their products but they also seem to be a new company and have a few products on the market at the moment. I’ve tried some of their other products with out issue and like wise found this one did fine on my stomach. It’s a fairly large pill so some might have issues swallowing it. Serving size is 1 pill but obviously with 180 pills per bottle that leaves room for taking a larger dosage if that is what you need.I’ll have to update after taking this a while to see if it improves the way I feel after work. Looking at the cost to milligram content of other L Glutamine supplements it appears this is with in fair market value for other pill products at the present price of $61.40 for 720 pills however it appears the cheaper route may be in bulk powder if you don’t mind the mess and measuring of it.
