Works quickly
I have mixed feelings about this product. It works. But it seems to work too well, as when I take this product for more than a couple of days, my gut is upset for a few days. I only take one packet and I weigh 145 lbs. I cannot imagine taking two packets as recommended, much less giving this product to a child, as it seems to be too effective.I tried this product first right out of the pack. It reminded me very much of those long sticks of banana taffy. And it was icky sweet because of the syrup-like consistency. So, then I tried adding it to a bit of water. I could easily stir it in, but I could also just swirl the water around to get the product to mix in. When mixed with water, it is much easier to take down and I barely taste the product.

I have pretty bad constipation-very bad. So of course when I saw this Prebiotic Liquid Fiber Syrup Supplement for Digestive Health by Lovelion I could not press order fast enough. You receive 21 daily doses for about 23 US. The product is a sugary syrup that you can put in anything or just eat. I just ate it the first time and it was pretty sweet, the second time I put it in a carbonated water and it tasted fine.I must have been have been taking them at least 14 days at one each day as I only have 7 left. I realize the product was designed for kids but I was hoping I would also have an improvement in regularity but I haven’t really. Maybe an adult needs a larger dose. I looked up the 3 active ingredients mentioned on the package and did not see any read flags but am a bit puzzled why the inactive are not listed. I think those are important too. The label states it has 9 grams of fiber or it could be 15 it says both-and prebiotics but I did not have the usual reaction to that nice fiber dose.The packaging is attractive and sachets easy to use-as mentioned the taste is a bit sweet but pleasant. I can see a child loving it. Another thing that confuses me is the products’ origin. On the back is says made in New Zealand from imported ingredients. Then under that it says it is Manufactured for a company in Victoria Australia and on the side it has a sticker with Chinese characters.Taking these things in to account I just don’t feel comfortable recommending it. I would give it 2.5 stars for concept, taste and packaging but I need transparency in products I or my kids ingest.

I have been taking these packets for about 4 weeks now and have been very pleased with the results. They are very gentle but effective and I have had no negative digestive issues when I have taken it. The packet contains a liquid that is easy to swallow down, and I find the taste pleasant but not overly sweet or hard to take. Consistency is like syrup, but not as thick. I like this much better than the powders or the pills. I use it about 2-3 times a week to keep my system moving without harsh laxatives. I am not sure where it was manufactured, there isn’t a lot of information regarding those details. It does contain 9 grams of fiber, which I do like. Price was reasonable for the amount of servings in the box.

If you or your children have trouble getting enough fiber into your daily diet because you don’t care for vegetables and whole grain breads or pastas, this would be a great addition to promote gut health and possibly prevent annoying constipation. It is not meant to be used as a laxation but rather as a product to promote healthy bacterial action in the gut which should promote regular bowel movements. At the current price point, it is a slightly over $1.00 per packet, which is a on the high side for similar products but coupons are sometimes available. One thing to note is that there is not a comprehensive inactive ingredient list and, although manufactured in New Zealand, it clearly states the company uses imported ingredients but does not disclose the country or countries of origin for those imported ingredients.
