I picked these up because I liked the idea of getting pumpkin seed oil, saw palmetto, and biotin in one bottle. The cold pressed, extra virgin pumpkin seed oil was a plus for me since that feels like a better choice than a heavily processed oil. Good Combination in One Supplement
Like a lot of people, my hair has been thinning as I get older and I decided to try this and see if it helps. I have been taking these consistently and have been pleased with them so far. I like the combination of pumpkin seed oil, saw palmetto and biotin in one supplement for added benefits. The softgels are easy to take without any unpleasant taste or stomach upset, although they are a slight bit larger than others I have taken. Since supplements like this can take time before you can really judge the results, I am continuing with them and will be interested to see what I notice with longer use. The bottle contains 180 softgels, but with a serving size of three per day, this is a 60-day supply, which is not bad for the price.

Hair growth supplement
Pumpkin seed oil contains unsaturated fats (note added dietary calories) which have proven health benefits regarding cholesterol management, with blood pressure reduction, and it also adds antioxidants (reduced inflammation), positive effect for blood sugar regulation and hormonal balance and hair follicle health. It’s helpful for me that the full dosage is three caplets as it allows a reduced dosage (one reason is I already have BP reduction meds), and I also have continued to take a multivitamin with some mineral overlap. Since I have previously taken courses of hair health supplement (and my thinning hair seems improved), I cannot make direct association of how effective this formulation is. This bottle (jar?) of softgels is presented as high quality, although with such oils there can be concerns of temperature history affecting shelf life which I wouldn’t know how to assess. I can easily swallow these gelcaps with water, and I haven’t seen side effects as such.The twelve dollar price for a full dose sixty day supply seems like a great value (twenty cents/day).

60 day supply of pumping seed oil, biotin, and saw palmetto for hair/skin/nails/urinary health
Its not on the bottle, which I think is odd, but the purchase page claims this is GMP and lab tested, although not third party tested. Pumpkin seed oil ja apparently primarily good for prostate health, help with an overactive bladder, promote hair growth and skin hydration. Since the effective dose for pumpkin seed oil is 400mg daily for hair loss and 500 to 1000 mg twice daily for urinary health, at 4000 mg, this appears to be more than the necessary dose. You could potentially try only taking one capsule a day if you need it to stretch.Saw palmetto is also a supplement for symptoms of an enlarged prostate and to reduce hair loss. It was hard to find an effective dose because it seems to be dependent on the preparation (extract, powder, liquid) but it’s a complementary supplement.The pumpkin seed oil apparently needs a fat soluble food to be eaten with it to improve with the absorption of the compound, which may be another reason saw palmetto is included since it is fat-soluble and thus you don’t need to worry about finding appropriate foods to fit this supplement into your day. Still, you’re supposed to take this with a meal which makes it less convenient if you often eat in restaurants. You’ll have to remember to take this with a meal rather than grabbing it at any point.Finally, d-biotin is apparently good for energy, metabolism, enzyme function and hair/skin/nail maintenance. The recommended intake for adults is 30 to 40 mg. The 10000 mcg in this supplement is 10 mg so it leaves room for getting more from your diet or other supplements.The soft gels stink oddly in the bottle. They comes as tiny dark footballs. They are easy to swallow. You’ll have to fit it in your day at a meal time. But if the dosages are correct, this should have enough to help with skin/hair/nails and urinary health. 180 tablets/3 per day give you about a two month supply. Which is quite a lot for the price.

This is a nice pumpkin seed oil supplement. I like the addition of saw palmetto, since the two ingredients are commonly paired in supplements marketed for men’s health.The softgels have no noticeable odor or taste, are easy to swallow, and haven’t caused me any stomach upset. The safety seal was intact when the bottle arrived.The packaging is also well done. The label is clearly printed and easy to read, including the supplement information and directions.Overall, this is a straightforward, easy-to-take pumpkin seed oil and saw palmetto supplement, and I am pleased with it.
