no lemon flavor just a very fishy taste
update Aug 2026: very fishy! switched back to my other brand after my previous bottle of this, but when that order arrived horribly fishy as well I decided to give this a try again but nope it’s pretty bad too and can not get rid of the aftertaste now. After 3 years of it daily I’m done with fish oil for now, yuked out!I like to take oil over pills 1) because it’s cheaper, 2) easier especially when taking a large amount over taking lots of big pills, and 3) it just seems more effective. This has zero hint of lemon flavor unfortunately, only a slight fishy taste but is still hard to take- or perhaps I’m just getting tired of swallowing 1.5tsp/7ml of oil at bedtime, I immediately chase it with eating a couple brazil nuts but it still is hard to palate. My original brand is often out of stock forcing me to try other brands. This is not as bad as carlyle which was horrible, but not as good as amazing omega which actually has a masking orange flavor making it easier to take. After a couple weeks jury still out on if I’ll buy this again…

For the dog’s new recipe…
This was for the dog’s new renal diet recipe. It matches the nutrition when compared to Nordic Naturals Omega-3 Pet Liquid specified in his recipe and it costs less. One difference is the lemon flavor which the old dude couldn’t care less about! He happily eats his meals even with the lemon flavor. Since its human grade, I’m not worried about using it for my dog and I will buy it again!

Good, it’s definitely fish oil
There’s a light lemon taste but you will taste fish oil. I needed this and can’t do large pills so I’ll just take it anyway but I definitely will immediately eat something right after taking it! No fishy burps so far. No smell that I could detect, overall the quality seems really good.

I used to purchase this brand over a decade ago. fast forward to present time and it’s still a pretty decent brand except there is a pretty wild variation from one bottle to the next in terms of fishy taste. you spend a little bit more and have a more consistent product or you could enjoy this product for the value it provides just accepting the variance

It’s very good I love it & I recommended this one for very good reason. It’s so good for our inmune system. But you have to be careful because sometime we receive a bottle crash and maybe the liquid don’t go out straight.
