    A Liquid Prenatal Vitamin Dream!!!

Taking a prenatal vitamin is something I wanted to do to prep my body before my husband and I try to conceive. After clearing this with my doctor I started researching. I have a hard time taking pills and often they will get stuck in my throat which will cause me to vomit. Liquid, in my mind had to be the way to go. Before I found Pink Stork, I was taking Avasia Liquid Prenatals, but after two months of taking them, the price shot up to $45.99. I can’t afford almost $50 a month for vitamins, so when I saw Pink Stork at $29.99 I knew it was worth a shot! I loved the fact that these vitamins are organic as my focus for my diet to prepare for pregnancy is to eat clean, organic, raw and natural without the intake of processed foods and drinks. I had blood work done and my body was lacking in iron – prenatal vitamins include iron where your regular multivitamin will not so this was an added bonus. I had heard from many people that prenatal vitamins will cause constipation because of the additional iron. When I take these vitamins I take the 1T as recommended and I mix it with an 1/8 of a cup of Trop 50 orange juice (keeping my sugars down). I was told orange juice helps aid the absorption of the iron in the prenatal vitamins. I have not had any constipation issues thus far. When I do this all I taste is the Orange Juice so it’s pleasant. I also believe that because this vitamin is in liquid format it aids the absorption in my body all together. Normally, when I take a regular multi vitamin my urine will be fluorescent yellow indicating that my body is flushing out the vitamins rather than absorbing them. With the PInk Stork Liquid Prenatal Vitamins my urine is clear. I’ve taken these vitamins first thing in the morning and the afternoon (if i forgot) with or without food and they have never made me nauseous. I’ve been taking these for about 3 weeks now and feel great. I have higher energy levels when I take them vs the few times I have forgotten to take them. This is truly a high quality product, filled with all the fabulous benefits of a prenatal vitamin you’d want. Thank you Pink Stork for making a fabulous product with a perfect price point. I am truly happy and will continue to take your vitamins throughout my child-bearing years!I was able to receive this product in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion. All opinions here are absolutely my own and based on my own personal experiences.

    EXCELLENT PRENATAL!

I’ve been using this prenatal from Pink Stork Foundation for a little over two weeks now and I am super pleased with it. I actually like the taste of it, somehow it tastes like vitamins but in a good way, for me at least 😉 I do take it with my evening meal, along with a probiotic and prenatal omega blend, as opposed to the suggested morning usage on the label. Mornings into early afternoons (some days later still) are not the most fun right now (9 weeks) so I tend to not want to smell certain smells or taste certain tastes during those times. But I honestly believe that I could take this in the mid-morning with some food and be just fine. I hope to make the switch soon so I can see if it helps with energy during the day as I think and hope it will. I will update when that happens. This is a complete prenatal with much of the natural goodness as I was hoping for and I am thankful to have found it. I like knowing that the liquid is much more readily and quickly absorbed by my body and that my liver isn’t struggling to process one more (big) supplement! Bonus: Momma and baby are getting quality nutrients! Thanks Pink Stork for such a great and thoughtful product!!Update: August 29, 2016I have been using Pink Stork liquid prenatal for 2 months now and I am still really pleased with the taste as well as affect. I am finally in the second trimester (closing in on week 17) and feeling better with lots more energy that I’m sure is partly due to this prenatal since my eating habits are no where near as clean and steady or predictable as pre-pregnancy. I have noticed that no matter what time of day I take Foundation, I never have issues with feeling nauseous or burping up the taste of it like I do with capsule type supplements or vitamins. I am definitely thankful for this prenatal, thank you Pink Stork!!!

    Overall very good product

First the good:I’ve seen a lot of liquid vitamin products but I’m not aware of other liquid general prenatals with organic ingredients, so the uniqueness of that is what sold me. Liquid vitamins are better than pills because your body isn’t digesting all these gel caps that are difficult for many people to digest and the vitamins are absorbed better. I also kind of hate swallowing pills, which makes the liquid method a plus for me.Folate is better than folic acid so I’m pleased that that’s in these.I love that this product is sugar-free and non-gmo and that it includes organic ingredients.I feel good about the amounts of each vitamin here and %DV as compared to other prenatals. As far as things I’m not thrilled with, I don’t like that this is packaged in plastic and would strongly prefer glass.Taste: I tried it straight and the taste is not fantastic but not that bad either—kind of like apple cider vinegar mixed with bubble gum. I don’t do morning smoothies, but if you do I think a fruit smoothie would help cover it up pretty well and dilute it a bit. I might try it in tea or keep taking it straight to just get it over with—haven’t decided yet. Or just take it fast and drown out with another taste after. Would personally prefer this taste over a giant pill.As far as ingredients go, I am concerned about potassium benzoate because I read that when combined with Vitamin C this creates trace levels of benzene. The FDA apparently thinks such levels are OK in soft drinks etc, but, I still don’t feel great about it, and also, this isn’t a soft drink. I’m concerned about xantham gum too. I understand some preservatives may be required in order to keep up shelf-life, etc. but when a product is marketed as having “organic ingredients” and then contains stuff like this I can’t help feeling nervous and TBH a bit duped. But I had stomach problems with a product that was “more organic” so not sure what to do.I would take this over a nonorganic prenatal any day, but I think I might look into other organic options that do not include the xantham gum and potassium benzoate. I took another organic prenatal a while ago that was a giant horse pill with no gel cap and that one had no preservatives but was very expensive and caused stomach problems for me. I am going to continue with this product for now, with those reservations.

I love Pink Stork Foundations Liquid Prenatal Vitamins. No other Prenatal I would recommend or use!!!

There is no better or healthier prenatal vitamin out there then Pink Stork. The quality and the ingredients are 100% above board. I am someone who eats and all organic diet. We have a top of the line system to filter all the chemicals and crud out of of water. I use only organic products to put on my skin, or in my body. As anything that goes on you, goes in you. I love that not only is this Prenatal Vitamin packed full of everything you need to prepare and take throughout your pregnancy, but it’s also a liquid, which makes it so much easier for your body to absorb, and is a huge A+ if you are having morning, noon or night sickness. The quicker it absorbs the more likely you are to keep those important nutrients in. And I’m just not a huge fan of horse pills, which so many other brands are. If you’re looking for a wonderful, healthy, all natural prenatal vitamin, you can’t go wrong here. I know my Baby or Babies (we’ll know in 2 weeks) deserve nothing but the best. And Pink Stork Foundation is, in my honest opinion, exactly that. They’ve got some great deals if buying more than one at a time. I started out with one, in prep. Didn’t want jump the gun buying 9 months worth before we knew for sure. Now I’ll be taking advantage of the bulk order and saving a lot more money. Every little bit adds up and is more that can be spent on all the babies needs. (this brand has been real easy on my stomach as well- and that’s a rarity with most supplements). Only thing I would recommend or wish they’d add to it, is the needed dose of DHA. I’m buying those separately. But it’s worth it, when all else that’s vital is in here… Just a hint Pink Stork… Otherwise a perfect product.

Must have for those who can’t do pills!

The Pink Stork Liquid Prenatal has been the only way I can get vitamins down during my pregnancy. Of course, with as weird as pregnancy is, me, who had no issue swallowing pills before suddenly couldn’t even get a multivitamin up to my lips without starting to gag. I had never thought of liquid vitamins until I found this product and I’m so glad I did because otherwise I would have had to go my entire pregnancy without a vitamin supplement.I also love that it is liquid since I have also been able to add my liquid vitamin D supplement right into it and get it all done with at once.At first I was following the suggestion on the bottle of mixing this with another beverage – but honestly I think that makes it harder to get down and it brings out a funky after taste. I was starting to get nausea taking it that way. What has worked for me is just to put it in a shot glass and take it straight. I think it tastes way better that way and has made it much easier to manage with chronic morning sickness. As other reviewers has mentioned, the flavor is somewhat reminiscent of hard chewable vitamins.I’ve gone though 4 or 5 bottles of this so far. The taste is pretty consistent, but I have noticed that the liquid in some bottles is dark brown and in other bottles it is light orange. I’m not sure if this is due to the age of the product or if it is just natural variation in color due to the fact that the vitamins are derived from fruits and vegetables.Overall, this has been a great product for me and I’ll continue using it for post-natal support.

Needs to be shipped as a perishable/cold item.

Really need to be shipped as a perishable item. Can’t give the 5 stars it deserves. Let me say that this really does everything it says. I’m always nauseous and have issues going, which cause serious cramping pain, when I get my period. I had none of that this time. This stuff really cleaned out my bowels, within 24 hours of my first dose, without any pain or issues that you may get when going through a cleanse. I felt much more hydrated without changing my fluid intake habits; I only have a drink with my meals. I slept better than I have in months. Woke up feeling fully awake and well rested. Some of my normal body aches have been improved, I have pain in my joints often. It wasn’t completely gone but was notably lessened. The taste was great the first couple of doses and I doubled up on the dose to help it take effect faster. After the second week it started to taste and smell putrid. I tried to force myself to continue with but could not. I think it was because it had been left on my doorstep for IDK how long in 100 degree weather and the seal on the bottle was nearly popping off the bottle. So I ordered another bottle to test this; which I got yesterday and this one also sat in 90 degree weather for no one knows how long and I have the same issues. I seriously think this stuff should be shipped with dry ice or something to keep it cold. I really want to get my money back but I threw out the first bottle. On their website it says you can buy this at CVS, Target, and Walmart. I am going to look for some at these places instead of continuing to order it.ProDoes everything it says it will, really does work.ConTastes and smells like something decaying if left in the heat. Not being shipped correctly, should be shipped refrigerated/with dry ice.

    Goodbye morning sickness

I’m pregnant with my second child, due in February. The first time around, my morning sickness was terrible–losing meals at least once per day, feeling queasy all the time, flavor and scent aversions, and getting sick with just a thought of something unappetizing. I guess I just tolerated it since I was against taking any kind of prescription meds and I knew my prenatal vitamins were high quality. But this pregnancy I had no patience for the sickness–not with a child to take care of, work, and housework. That’s when I ran across Pink Stork and decided to give it a try. And I was shocked to find my morning sickness GONE within a couple hours of the first dose. I was skeptical at first, so I gave it a few more days. The same results convinced me it was the vitamins that made the change (plus I would get sick again if I stopped taking them). They aren’t a cure-all, obviously–I still have to eat regular meals. But the general yuckiness and fatigue that clouded every waking moment is gone, and I am so grateful.I’ve also noticed that there is no urine discoloration with these vitamins, so I know the absorption is good. Perhaps that is part of the difference between this and my whole food prenatals, which caused pretty significant discoloration and also enhanced my sickness. As far as flavor goes, it tastes like a tropical fruit blend. It isn’t a bad flavor–it’s actually pretty tasty, considering. But it can definitely turn your stomach if you’re already having morning sickness trouble. One of my huge things during pregnancy is bad aftertastes, so the best way I’ve found to take the vitamins is to mix it with an acidic juice like orange, drink it while holding your nose, and then follow it with a glass of water and some food that doesn’t bother me. But I only had to do this a few times, when I would wait too long in the morning to take it and start to feel sick again. If I don’t feel bad, I just drink it with juice and then eat some breakfast. So, so, so, so happy I found this. Thank you, Pink Stork, for restoring to [mostly] normal an otherwise sickly six months of my life!

    Allergic reaction!

I for the first time in my adult life had an allergic reaction to a vitamin. I’m covered in hives. I’m so disappointed because the taste was not bad, and it met my goals for choline. I’ve taken prenatal many times, but this was my first time with this company. It was difficult to get in touch with them, so that likely means I’m out $40. Don’t try this one!
