- PLANT vs. EGG YOLK LECITHIN – Egg yolk lecithin has many of the functional qualities of plant lecithin yet is far superior nutritionally for the human body. Compared with plant derived phospholipids, egg yolk phospholipids have a more balanced and unique phospholipid composition. While plant lecithin is commonly used in processed foods due to its oil emulsifying properties, its bioavailability can be limited. On the other hand, egg yolk lecithin is easily absorbed by the body, allowing for much better utilization of its nutrients.
- LIQUID FORM – Our egg yolk lecithin is a high-quality egg yolk oil containing more than 50% of phospholipids, manufactured from the yolks of chicken eggs using a carefully controlled extraction process designed to preserve the natural structure and balance of phospholipids and other naturally occurring compounds while avoiding harsh chemical modifications.
- ORGANIC – Organic chicken egg yolks are renowned for their superior nutritional profile. Extracting lecithin from NON-GMO, pesticide-free, cage-free egg yolks ensures that it is free from harmful chemicals, maximizing its health benefits. This purity enhances its role as nutritional supplement, while prioritizing animal, welfare, and supporting environmentally responsible, sustainable organic farming practices.
- ADDITIVE FREE – We carefully avoid unnecessary ingredients that could compromise the effectiveness of our supplements. Every component in our formula is chosen with purpose, purity, and your long-term wellness in mind.

Soy free!
Great stuff! Can definitely tell a difference in clarity of thinking and also in processing of sugar. The pancreas needs Choline to process sugar. Thanks for offering a soy free alternative!

Label indicates 250mg of Phospholipids, but doesn’t specify amount of phosphatidylcholineLabel indicates 250mg of Phospholipids, but doesn’t specify amount of phosphatidylcholine
Review of PHARMAKON Natural Egg Yolk Lecithin:I wanted to try an egg yolk lecithin supplement. Egg yolk lecithin provides phospholipids, especially phosphatidylcholine which is a normal component of cell membranes. Egg yolk is particularly rich in phosphatidylcholine. Phosphatidylcholine supplies choline, an essential nutrient needed for cell membranes, neurotransmitter production (acetylcholine), and normal liver function. Besides egg yolks, it is also found in other food sources like soybeans, sunflower seeds, meat, fish and dairy. The NIH’s Office of Dietary Supplements lists 425 mg/day as the adequate intake for women and 550 mg/day for men. I think it is useful to have a supplement for days when you may not get enough from the natural food sources. The bottle has symbols and words that say Soy Free, Concentrated Extract, GMO free, and Gluten Free. The label also says it Contains eggs — JAS Certified organic eggs. From what I can determine, JAS organic certification is comparable to USDA organic certification. The label also says it is made in Japan in a GMP-certified facility, but it doesn’t specify which entity it is certified by. It also says it is manufactured for Pharmakon Nutra, a German company, and distributed by BioMark LLC out of Austin, TX. Overall, I feel comfortable taking the supplement based on the information available. My main complaint is that the label provides only the total amount of phospholipids which is great at 250mg, but does not indicate how much of that is phosphatidylcholine specifically which is very disappointing. I visited the website provided on the label and didn’t find any additional useful information. This is not a supplement where you can judge the effectiveness by any subjective means, so knowing the quantity of nutrient is the most valuable information. The supplement comes in a double-sealed bottle. The gel capsules are small and have a deep golden color like an egg yolk. They are easy to swallow. They have no flavor as you would expect. I have experienced no side effects from taking them. At the current price of $24 per bottle of 90 softgels, I think they are an okay value.

A great way to support inflammation reduction and muscle recovery.A great way to support inflammation reduction and muscle recovery.
I requested and received this 90-count bottle of Pharmakon Natrual Egg Yolk Lecithin. This product was intriguing to me in that it contains naturally-occurring phospholipids from egg yolks, and dietary phospholipids are a potential source of bioactive lipids which support the body’s processes related to reducing inflammation and aiding muscle recovery, both of which are of interest to folks who are gym rats.Based on pre-clinical study results, phosphatidylcholine and sphingomyelin support regulation of inflammation and the absorption of cholesterol. And clinical studies have shown that the intake of egg phospholipids positively affected HDL biomarkers.According to an article contained within the National Library of Medicine, it is understood that phosphatidylcholine has hepatoprotective qualities. According to a few studies I found, egg yolk phosphatidylcholine has been used in settings where there were various chronic liver disease concerns. And this very same component of egg yolks is also understood to support the reduction of insulin resistance. And a tidbit I learned recently is that sphingomyelin from egg yolks is of significant biological importance in that it supports brain cells’ viability and supports regulation of inflammation. So with those tiny highlights of a couple components in egg yolks, the product label states that they only use organic egg yolks and do not add unnecessary ingredients. And apparently the only allergen is eggs. Shocking, I know. Anyway, a serving size is one softgel which contains 500mg of the egg yolk lecithin complex standardized to 45-55% phospholipids, of which there is 250mg of phospholipids containing several types of PL, two of which are outlined in the paragraphs above. The softgels are not oversized in any respect and are, therefore, easy for me to consume with a meal. I’ve included a picture of a couple softgels next to a dime for reference purposes. Having consumed these for a while, I have experienced no GI issues or concerns, no odd aftertaste.I like the fact that this product is free from soy and gluten and is non-GMO. Being made in Japan at a GMP-certified facility is also a plus for me. The lid of the bottle has a “best by” date and a lot number printed thereon.Honestly, there is nothing to dislike about this egg yolk lecithin since it covers all the bases regarding transparency, purity, GMP facility, etc. And while it is still too early in the game to speak to the efficacy of this particular supplement, I can confidently state that at the current price of 23.95 on 8-24-26, it seems like a good value for the money for my household for all the reasons stated above.

Egg Yolk LecithinEgg Yolk Lecithin
I ordered this product as part of my personal wellness routine. This is a single‑ingredient, clean supplement preserved naturally with mixed tocopherols. It’s soy‑free, gluten‑free, and made in a GMP facility, which gives me additional confidence in product quality. The dose is one softgel, and there are 90 softgels per container, providing a full three‑month supply. I found the softgels to be relatively small and easy to swallow with no aftertaste or aftereffects. One notable advantage of this form of lecithin is bioavailability. Egg yolk lecithin is generally absorbed more efficiently than plant‑based lecithin. Many sunflower or soy lecithin supplements provide 1200–2000 mg per softgel, but because egg yolk lecithin is more readily absorbed, lower milligram amounts can still deliver comparable functional benefits. This makes the formulation appealing for anyone who prefers a more efficient, naturally sourced option. Overall, this appears to be a thoughtfully formulated supplement with solid ingredients and excellent bioavailability for anyone looking to add lecithin to their daily routine, especially if they prefer an iodine‑free, soy‑free option.
