easy to swallow, but store in a cool, dry place
I like that these are vegan and easy to swallow (they really are) and don’t need refrigeration. It does say, Store in a cool, dry place, though, which pleases me less.

Not fishy!
This is a great alternative to fish-based omega-3 supplements for vegans and vegetarians! I’m glad to have found this, as it was well-packaged, its easy to digest, and the capsules aren’t melted together (an impressive feat in the summer heat!) I don’t necessarily know if its worth the astronomical price tag, but it definitely gets the job done.

Who would’ve thought a Vegan-Friendly O3 Existed
These are really cool, since most O3’s aren’t vegan due to coming from fish and whatnot. Since these come from plants, that means vegetarians and vegans can take em, especially since there’s no gelatin either. No off-putting taste, and they’re super easy to take. Granted a serving size of 3 capsules is quite a bit and means you’ll go through em pretty quick.

This product checks off all but one criterion on my list
You won’t find me touting the health benefits of this product in my review. I am not a health professional and it’s not my place to do so. But I am happy to share the criteria I use when assessing any nutritional supplement like these Omega-3 softgels. My criteria include the ingredients, taste and/or smell, the form in which they are consumed and transparency about the manufacture. The only ingredient in this product is algal oil, containing the three most important types of Omega-3: Omega -3 fatty acids, DHA and EHA. Taking three capsules per day gets you a combined total of 1800 mg, a good amount. In fact, your own preference may be to take only one or two softgels daily. In any case, you should talk with your health professional before taking this or any dietary supplement. There is no fishy taste or smell, as you would find with most fish oil supplements. That’s no surprise as the oil in these softgels is sourced from algae. For me, this is a big plus.I also like the use of softgels, compared to liquids or other forms. Softgels are easy to digest and these are primarily made of Gellan Gum.One of the most important considerations I have when selecting vitamins and supplements is their manufacture. Sometimes a product label identifies only the distributor or seller, not the actual maker of the product. I have to say I am impressed with the transparency of the source for this product. The distributor is Performance Lab, based in the UK, and the label explicitly states that the softgels are made in Japan at a facility licensed by Performance Lab Ltd.Both the Lot number, 230424, and expiration date, 06/2025, are clearly marked on the bottom of the bottle. The only reason I have for assessing this product as four stars instead of five is that the price seems high to me for only one month’s supply. I am likely to stretch that timeline by taking only one or two softgels per day, as it would be expensive to use this product through a full year or more.

Clean and Effective, Performance Lab® Omega-3 Dietary Supplement
I’ve been using the Performance Lab® Omega-3 supplement for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed. It’s plant-based and sourced from algae, which is a huge plus for me since I try to avoid fish-based omega-3s. The fact that it’s carrageenan-free and made in the USA also adds to the trust factor. The softgels are easy to swallow, which is a relief because some supplements can be a bit bulky or leave a bad aftertaste, but these go down smoothly with no issues. I also like that the formula feels really clean—no unnecessary additives. In terms of effects, I’ve noticed my energy levels are more balanced, and I feel good knowing I’m getting my omega-3s from a high-quality source. If you’re looking for a plant-based, premium omega-3 supplement, this is a great choice.

EZ to swallow, no odor, taste or digestive upset but a bit pricey & algae species not disclosed…
I appreciate that this supplement is made in the USA and the fact that it undergoes independent testing. I wanted to know more about the Life’s Omega 60 shown on the ingredient label (the triglyceride source of the DHA and EPA) and the marine algae that is cultured to obtain this oil, so I went to Performance Lab’s website for this information. I found the material quite interesting but so far, I haven’t been able to find out anything about the actual species of algae — there are many. I guess I’ll have to do some more research. So, while the dosage is fully disclosed and verified by analysis, the information presented isn’t completely transparent.I used to take fish oil supplements, but dealing with the taste and smell just got to be too much. These gel tabs are odorless and tasteless and they go down the hatch easily. I don’t take the full recommended dosage, just one per day. I do take it with a meal. I have experienced no bloating or digestive upset (and thankfully, no awful aftertaste or fishy burps).I like the supplements, but they are a bit pricey, especially if taken as suggested. As expected, the product arrived nicely boxed and the bottle was properly sealed for safety and freshness.

Unsure
I bought this omega-3 supplement for its plant-based formula and quality ingredients. It’s primarily made of algal oil but also includes gellan gum, pectin, starch, and glycerin. At $59 for 90 softgels, which only provides 30 servings (3 gels per serving), it’s quite pricey and may be out of reach for many people. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get details about the sources of the additional ingredients. Due to the high cost and the uncertainty about the ingredients, this product gets 3 stars.

Very easy to ingest
Very happy with this omega 3 supplement. The supplement was very easy to take. This one is not based on fish, so I had no fishy aftertaste after taking, which is definitely a plus. No stomach irritation after use as well, but I always recommend taking with food. Overall I was pretty satisfied with this supplement, the big plus being that it is not fish based, and very easy to take.
