Sea creatures like salmon, shrimp and sometimes trout have pink colored flesh, caused by their consumption of microalgae – this is why these softgels are reddish in color. I learned a long time ago to purchase supplements in dark colored glass bottles to protect the contents from sunlight, and this product also met my expectations in that area. If you are looking for a good antioxidant this is a good one to consider.

Astaxanthin at 12 mg is harder to find and good to have in my opinion
Astaxanthin has many positive benefits. In the first screen shot you can see several benefits listed by the manufacturer. Cellular health comes up in all the research I’ve read on it. The second shot shows the ingredients. That is very clean. Just one softgel has the 12 mg of astaxanthin. Noted no negatives with use. Easy to swallow. Healthy oils keep the ingredients liquid inside.
