Exceeded Expectations
This Stevia is the REAL DEAL. We’ve been using this product for years now, and we keep coming back for more. The purity and quality is consistent, bag after bag. It might seem like an expensive product at first glance, but when you consider that you get the pure, unadulterated, undiluted, product with no fillers, no additives, and no preservatives, the value is worth the price. As the saying goes, “you get what you pay for”.We’ve found so many different uses for this stevia over the years. And I am amazed how little is required to bring a strong sweetness to any drink or recipe. Our latest favorite use of this stevia is on grapefruit. Just a small dot of stevia on top of a grapefruit sliced in two, spread it around with a spoon, and that is all it takes for a tasty snack. And best of all–no issues with blood sugar, no worries about cavities or calories, just sweet flavor. My wife and I have sampled quite a few stevia products, both powders and liquids. I’m glad to say that this product exceeded our expectations both in quality and in affordability. As we know, these days there are several different stevia choices available; quite a few more than were available even just a couple of years ago. Not all are formulated the same way, and there are plenty of ways these products are blended with less-than desirable binders, etc.The quality of this bulk stevia from Mood and Mind is excellent. I just love to lick my fingers after opening the package because the powder just tastes so good even by itself! It is very sweet and leaves no aftertaste. It pours smoothly and is easy to use. My wife and I use stevia to sweeten our tea; we brew about a gallon of decaffeinated tea at a time in our big stove-top teapot and keep it in the fridge for a wholesome alternative to chemically-laden artificially sweetened drinks. Because of the purity and high quality of this stevia, we’ve had to use less stevia per pot than other stevia products we’ve tried. That definitely saves us money over other stevia products as well as making our stevia purchase last longer. The nice thing is to find such high-quality stevia at a reasonable cost. This kind of quality is not cheap to produce, but when offered in bulk quantity it is a good buy at a competitive price.I wholeheartedly endorse this product.

BEST PRICE around on any stevia extract powder around. GREAT QUALITY!
I bought this stevia for the first time, a few months ago. I’ve been using stevia extract powder (1/32 tsp. = tsp. sugar) for almost 10 years and this brand is just as good as the other brands and the cheapest price I’ve seen around per serving. This is such a great deal compared to the other brands of stevia I’ve purchased in the past. A pound (16 ounces) of stevia extract powder for $40 is such a great deal. The Now brand sells for $55-60 a lb. and around 7-8 years ago I paid more than that for that size bottle at a local health food store and it lasted me more than a year (I was only able to buy it once from that store like that. They no longer sell the big bottle like that. They use the bottle to repackage in smaller zipper baggies and sell by the ounce. They were surprised I wanted to buy the big bottle which they did have a price on.)The last few years, I was purchasing a 3.5 ounce bottle of the Kal brand for $28-30 at another local health food store and that much wouldn’t last me 2-3 months. I use a lot of stevia, mostly for my cold green tea with lemon, which I drink like water, from 1 to 1 1/2 liters of tea a day. Also, I refill an old small (1 oz.?) Now bottle of stevia, and carry it around in my purse for sweetening unsweet tea in restaurants, which I use about once or twice a week. I also use stevia to sweeten coffee, which I had only been drinking once or twice a week but lately I have been drinking coffee more often. As far as the taste and sweetness, it’s just as good as the other brands like Now and Kal. It’s just as good as the store brand that I bought for several years from Vitamin World, which they used to sell a few yrs ago (which they don’t anymore, they use a more “watered down” stevia powder now). The Kal brand is slightly sweeter but a lot of times I was easily using too much of that brand anyway. If I was using 4-5 scoops of Kal brand to sweeten a large glass of tea in a restaurant, I may need to add an extra scoop or two of this brand to get it just as sweet but this brand is still such a great deal and I’m less likely to use too much. It’s been awhile since I’ve used the Now brand but far as I can remember it’s similiar to Kal brand but Kal may be slightly sweeter.Again, this is the best deal around on stevia. The best price and just as good as other brands. I still have a lot left and will definitely purchase this brand again. It may be a year before I need some more but this brand is dated 1 1/2 yrs from now (which I’ve already had half a year). I’m sure it would still be good long after the sell by date but I’ll have it used up long before the date. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this stevia.

I’ve been looking for this!
Trying to reduce the use of sugar in my diet without the use of potentially toxic substitutes has been challenging. Reading the contradictory and volatile accounts of what is and isn’t safe is aggravating. One product that seems safe and natural is stevia. It is a plant extract, and much of the world has been using it for decades, apparently without problem. Finding it in a product format that I like has been a challenge.I tried liquid stevia, and liked it’s sweetening ability, but the larger, economical bottles started turning cloudy before I could finish them, so I ended up wasting product and money.I tried powdered stevia in packets. The first one I tried contained a fiber additive. The box that I bought must have come in contact with some high humidity, because the stevia in all of the packets was tightly clumped and almost impossible to dissolve. I went in search of packets of pure stevia, and could not find any. They all contained fillers or additives such as maltodextrin or one of the sugar alcohols sweeteners like sorbitol. I already know from past experience that the sugar alcohols cause gastric distress for me, so that was out. (the names of sugar alcohols typically end in “tol”. Other common ones are sorbitol and erythritol. They are not intoxicating alcohols, but bear the name due to chemical composition. They are a reasonable sugar substitute for some, but stomach or intestinal distress is a common side effect, especially when consumed in large quantities. As a retired nurse and health coach, I did a fair amount of research for diabetic patients.)Finally, I found this product and decided to try it. It was a little pricey, but it’s a good sized bag. It arrived and I tried it in my coffee. I started with 1/8th of a teaspoon, and it was too much! For a cup of coffee, I literally just dip the corner of the measuring spoon into the powder. Now I know why all the other brands use fillers and additives. With the pure stevia extract, individual packets would be really tiny! I am thrilled with this product and highly recommend it to anyone trying to minimize sugar in their diet. You don’t need potentially toxic artificial sweeteners. Try this stevia product….a little sprinkle will do 🙂

Concentrated and Pure
I ordered this product because I was going through a liquid Stevia extract bottle after bottle fairly fast. I was intrigued about how this product had no added fillers and therefore less goes a longer distance in terms of use. I found the supplier answered my questions very quickly, mainly about checking the purity and about whether or not the powder dissolved well in water. I found the powder to be very fine and slightly sticky. I found my plastic scoop would get clogged easily, but found that a small metal sugar server type spoon worked very well. I found one level mini-spoon to be more than enough sweetener for a cup of tea. I found, too, that I could dissolve the powder in water and make substitute Stevia liquid for the Stevia bottles that I had bought, and at a much less cost. It took a little experimenting to get the right ratio between water and powder. I found that a 1/4th cup of water to about 5 heaping mini-spoons was about right. I used a whisk, twirling it in my hands, to blend the powder with the water, and then put the liquid into a regular dropper bottle. Only a few drops are needed to sweeten a cup of tea. The powder is very fine and can blow into the air very easily, so it take a little care to not waste the powder this way. I found that mixing it with water and putting it into a dropper bottle to be a very practical solution. When I make a pot, all I need is one heaping mini-spoon and then using a whisk to blend it in.I recommend this product to anyone who uses Stevia as an alternative sweetener a lot as a way of saving money. It takes a little bit of care to mix it into a liquid and put it into a dropper bottle, but it is well rewarded in lower costs. I plan to buy more from this company when I run low. If you want to squeeze every last bit of savings, too, you can put some water into the bag when it is getting low and have the water absorb all the remaining Stevia.Stevia is my favorite sweetener and has a taste similar to anise or licorice. It is an herbal sweetener that seems very safe to use and may lower blood pressure in people with high blood pressure. WebMD has this to say about:”Stevia is a plant that is native to South America. It is probably best known as a source of natural sweeteners. In fact, native people in South America have used stevia as a sweetener for hundreds of years. But the leaves are also used to make medicine.Stevia is used as a weight loss aid; for treating diabetes, high blood pressure and heartburn; for lowering uric acid levels; for preventing pregnancy; and for increasing the strength of the muscle contractions that pump blood from the heart. In foods, stevia is used as a non-caloric sweetener and flavor enhancer. Stevia was originally available as a “dietary supplement” in the U.S. It wasn’t allowed as a “food additive” until 2008. That’s when the federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) status to rebaudioside A, one of the chemicals in stevia that makes it sweet. Stevia is also available as a sweetener in Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, Russia, Israel, Mexico, Paraguay, Uruguay, Venezuela, Columbia, Brazil, and Argentina.”

BUYER BEWARE!!!
Having used pure Stevia in the past, I know full well what it should taste like! The NuNaturals brand was excellent until they changed the formula. So I decided to give Stevia one last try by buying the Mood&Mind brand. Despite the claim that it is 100% pure and that it is better than other brands of Stevia, it simply is NOT. It is EXPENSIVE RUBBISH. Not only is it NOT SWEET, it also has an unpleasant aftertaste. It took almost a half of a teaspoon of the stuff just to get a semblance of sweetness in my herbal tea. Whereas pure Stevia usually takes a tiny pinch on the tip of a teaspoon to deliver the correct amount of sweetness. My concern is that it is not what it claims to be on the packet! So it begs the question: “Just what are they adulterating it with? It is a scary thought and I for one will NO LONGER PURCHASE Stevia as the suppliers are not being honest with the general public regarding this product. I am DISAPPOINTED to say the least!

Product has changed somewhat over time, perhaps better perhaps not.
I’ve been purchasing this brand of pure stevia extract for about 4 years now. Over time the price initially increased, but recently it has become somewhat less expensive than before.Below are my purchase dates and prices for when the seller was Mood and Mind and included free Prime Shipping.1/12/2015 – $52.95 USD10/1/2015 – $55.95 USD12/13/2016 – $55.95 USD01/26/2018 – $46.95 USDAfter seeing a few recent reviews about differences in quality from prior batches I decided to do a little testing. I compared the batch received from 12/13/2016 to that of the new batch from 01/26/2018.To sweeten an 8oz cup of tea, it took about 3/64-4/64 of a teaspoon for each batch. I believe that the prior batch was a bit sweeter to my taste, so on a hunch I decided to compare the density of the two batches. I found that 1/16 tsp had an average weight of 135mg for the prior year batch, while the new batch had an average weight of 106mg.Thus I concluded that the prior year batch was comparatively about 25% more dense. Since the product is sold by weight, nothing seems amiss with the amount of sweetening you get / lb of product. You might have to use a little more volume to sweeten your food and drink, but ultimately I could not currently conclude that the amount of sweetness I was paying for had gone down over time. It may have even gone up. I would have to do more testing by weight (which I am not really inclined to do at this time).I did not or could not account for possible hydration from humidity affecting the product though, since the old product was stored in a Mason jar with a lid I lift off each time I want some stevia. That could also affect things if someone else were to do some of their own experiments. The recent product though did have a somewhat different consistency. It was a lot like confectionery sugar this time. It does not dissolve as easily as the prior batch. It sort of floated in a clump at first and would eventually dissolve with a small amount of effort. The sweetening effect is also a bit more of an after-effect compared to the original, although I may be mistaken. All in all I think I prefer the prior batches. Are they worth paying more for? For me I think so, but I don’t think everyone would. I like the original’s taste affect a little more and it’s ability to dissolve easily. With heavy price competition though, I believe most new buyers would choose whatever is cheapest. It’s kind of a toss up, no best answer. I may try a competitor next and see what I think.—I will never get this time back in my life. Why did I do this.

My Brand
I’ve been using this for years. All the products in the grocery store seem to be a mix of sugar derived stuff and stevia. This certainly doesn’t taste exactly like sugar, but it is nice that it is sweet and healthy. Another reviewer suggested another product saying that their product was far superior. I won’t say the product’s name, but the initials are CC. I ordered a small package of it. No, none of that info was true. Another review said that the quality has lessened over time. I’ve been buying it for years and none of that is true for the orders I’ve received. So here I am, refilling my stevia with Mood & Mind. Good tasting stuff. Lasts many months. I use it in coffee and tea mainly. Doesn’t clump. Dissolves quickly in warm liquid & slower in cold liquid. 5 stars.

Good brand. Very clean sweet taste
