I like the list of ingredients, unsure about quality and effectiveness

I’ve been taking this for a couple of weeks now, so maybe not long enough for every benefit to kick in, I don’t know. I have felt some physical/mental/emotional improvements, but to be honest I’ve made other changes recently as well such as drinking more water and exercising more.That being said, I have some pros and cons for this supplement, given the information I have so far:PROS:- I like that it’s organic — if indeed it is organic.- I like the mixture of supplements: Turmeric, green tea extract, ashwaganda, quercitin, resveratrol, grape seed extract, vitamin D, vitamin C, black pepper, and of course the NAD+ precursor NR.CONS:- I can’t find any certifications either on the bottle or on their website that show that the ingredients are actually organic. In fact, the ingredient list on the bottle itself doesn’t even say it’s organic- I can’t find anything about this product being 3rd party tested, on the bottle or the website- The label seems to be printed just low enough quality to make it difficult to read the tiny print on the bottle- Many of the ingredients are in amounts and forms that make me question their potential effectiveness. For example, there is only 100mg of turmeric — not curcumin, mind you (the medicinal element of turmeric), but leaves and roots, and 100mg would be minuscule even for curcumin. Similar with several of the other ingredients.

Ingredient list is good on paper but company has shady reputation

Capsules are easy to swallow, don’t emit foul odor, bad taste or create discomfort like bloating, diarrhea, etc. but I cannot attest to its effectiveness because I don’t feel any difference in energy level, as such, the quality of the product cannot be verified without a randomized, double-blind study.The list of ingredients is excellent because it includes some extra (awesome) products that I also take separately andcontrary to another reviewer’s opinion, it does not contain an excessive amount of Vitamin D. That reviewer is confusing IU (International Units) with mcg (micrograms). 1mcg = 40 IU so it comes up to 125mcg, as stated on the label.The problem is with the company itself (Cadane Organics). They are from India, despite publishing a U.S. address out of Chicago. This company has a C rating (2 stars out of 5) on FAKESPOT, for their unreliable reviews on Amazon. Some of their products fair better than others, so the “C” is an average of their 44 products.There are companies out there that test the content and potency of several supplements sold on Amazon. I saw 2 of those tests that included Cadane Organics:Quercetin: Cadane Organics claimed 100mg – NOW results=0.8 mg; Eurofins results=7mg; Average 4% of their claim.On this test, Cadane Organics was last among 24 others and was mentioned on NOW’s comments for that list. I quote:”Cadane brand, made in India, mislabels as 100mg Quercetin 10:1 extract, equivalent to 1000mg. Testing showed this brand to be one of the very worst for potency results with only 4% of claim.”Further comment on that list is as follows:”NOW has reported these findings to Amazon directly, as we did previously, but the problem products continue to be sold, and often as a “sponsored” (paid marketing) featured products.”Bromelian test results: Cadane claims 300mg (no claims on potency) Results= 34 GDU/capSide note: GDU stands for Gelatin Digesting Units. It is a unit of measurement used to express the enzymatic activity of Bromelian. A higher GDU indicates a stronger Bromelain enzyme with greater protein-digesting ability. E.g. GDU of 2400 means that 1 gram of this enzyme can digest 2400 units of gelatin.NOW’s comments on that list:”three samples had ambiguous labeling that only claimed weight and no activity. Generally, Bromelain powder has an activity of 2,400 GDU per gram, but these brands made no potency claims. Two of these products’ potencies were below the detection limit (…) The third brand, Cadane, only contained 34 GDU of Bromelain per capsule, which is extremely low potency.”So again, Cadane was singled out as one of the worst cheaters of the lot and although those tests were done on different products, they are manufactured by a company that exhibits a pattern of deception and fraud.I don’t see a reason for this item to be made any differently.
