Great Addition to My Morning Routine for Longevity Support

I’m finally getting on board with the NAD+ benefits and added this Cadane supplement into my morning vitamin rotation to support longevity and healthy aging. I really like the synergistic formula—not just Nicotinamide Riboside, but also L-Carnitine, Magnesium Glycinate, Ashwagandha, and Black Pepper for better absorption and overall wellness.The capsules are easy to take, and I love that it’s vegan, non-GMO, and made in a GMP-certified facility—gives me peace of mind knowing it’s a clean product.So far, I feel good—balanced and steady energy throughout the day. Definitely planning to keep this in my routine as part of my long-term wellness plan.

Unknown effectiveness. No apparent negative side effects. Yet.

I reviewed a “competing” product a few months ago which had the NOT-confidence inspiring issue of “crud” (i.e. flecks of detritus) under the translucent label on the bottle.This product has neither issue (neither crud nor transparent label), although the capsules themselves have a tan (but homogeneously) colored and textured powder in them (unlike the others, which are white). At least the visible portions of the powder seems “clean.” That’s good. I imagine the included pepper being finely ground might contribute to the color being off-white.I am a real skeptic when it comes to “trendy” supplements like this. [ Although I do appreciate the apparent benefits offered by (and much more widely tested) Vitamin C, fish oil, magnesium and a few others. ]That said, my best friend of more than 50 years has been taking NAD+-boosting supplements for a few years and swears by them. He says they give him significant extra energy and other benefits. On the other hand, at one month older than me, he has had completely gray hair for a decade and wrinkles for many years and I have virtually no such (and am routinely told I look much younger than my years).Well, either way, more energy (of which I already have quite a bit) seems like a benefit, so I thought I would give these a try.So far (about 2 weeks) there are no obvious benefits. At the same time, my hair has not suddenly gone gray, nor are there an explosion of wrinkles, so there’s that! ;-)I will report back if there is any change in my energy levels by the time I am done with the supply.

Promotes restful sleep

It seems like it’s been working, at least when I’m consistent with taking it daily. I notice my sleep is a bit deeper and fuller and I wake up feeling more energized and ready for the day. Also it feels like my digestive system is better. Of course any supplement is best when coupled with a good diet, hydration, and plenty of exercise.

Ingredient list is ok on paper but company has shady reputation for deceptive practices

Capsules are easy to swallow, don’t have foul odor, bad taste or create discomfort like bloating, diarrhea, etc. but I cannot attest to its effectiveness because I don’t feel any difference in energy level, as such, the quality of the product cannot be verified without a randomized, double-blind study.The list of ingredients is good because it includes some extra products known for their health benefits.The problem is with the company itself (Cadane Organic). They are from India, despite publishing a U.S. address out of Chicago. This company has a C rating (2 stars out of 5) on FAKESPOT, for their unreliable reviews on Amazon. Some of their products fair better than others, so the “C” is an average of their 44 products.There are companies out there that test the content and potency of several supplements sold on Amazon. I saw 2 of those tests that included Cadane Organic:Quercetin: Cadane Organic claimed 100mg – NOW results=0.8 mg; Eurofins results=7mg; Average 4% of their claim.On this test, Cadane Organics was last among 24 others and was mentioned on NOW’s comments for that list. I quote:”Cadane brand, made in India, mislabels as 100mg Quercetin 10:1 extract, equivalent to 1000mg. Testing showed this brand to be one of the very worst for potency results with only 4% of claim.”Further comment on that list is as follows:”NOW has reported these findings to Amazon directly, as we did previously, but the problem products continue to be sold, and often as a “sponsored” (paid marketing) featured products.”Bromelain test results: Cadane claims 300mg (no claims on potency) Results= 34 GDU/capSide note: GDU stands for Gelatin Digesting Units. It is a unit of measurement used to express the enzymatic activity of Bromelain. A higher GDU indicates a stronger Bromelain enzyme with greater protein-digesting ability. E.g. GDU of 2400 means that 1 gram of this enzyme can digest 2400 units of gelatin.NOW’s comments on that list:”Three samples had ambiguous labeling that only claimed weight and no activity. Generally, Bromelain powder has an activity of 2,400 GDU per gram, but these brands made no potency claims. Two of these products’ potencies were below the detection limit (…) The third brand, Cadane, only contained 34 GDU of Bromelain per capsule, which is extremely low potency.”So again, Cadane was singled out as one of the worst cheaters of the lot and although those tests were done on different products, they are all manufactured by a company that exhibits a pattern of deception and fraud.I don’t see a reason for this item to be made any differently.
