Promising So Far, With One Hiccup
I did a lot of research before choosing these eye vitamins, and the ingredient list is what won me over. The formula is solid quality components at meaningful doses, not the watered-down versions you see in a lot of cheaper supplements. It’s clear some thought went into what actually belongs in an eye health product.One thing I didn’t expect to appreciate as much as I do is the gel cap size. I’ve taken eye vitamins before that were these enormous horse pills, but these go down easily without any issues. Small detail, but it makes a real difference when you’re taking something daily.My main complaint is the shipping. The gel caps come in blister packs with foil backing, which felt like a nice, quality touch, but the package arrived completely crushed, box and all. It was just put in an envelope which had no protection. Because of the damage, a few of the blister pockets had been pressed hard enough to burst the gel caps right through the foil. It was frustrating to open the envelope and immediately discover I was short on my supply before even getting started.As for whether they’re actually working, I genuinely can’t say yet. I’m only a couple of weeks in, and eye health isn’t something you notice overnight. Started taking this vision support supplement about three weeks ago. The benefits will take time to show, which is normal for eye health supplements. So I’ve started taking these about 7 days ago. I honestly can’t tell if they’re effective at this point. I wonder if there needs to be a build up in the body of the effective ingredient to make it more noticible. Seems like an effective vision supplement
This seems like an effective vision supplement. I base that on its ingredients being highly reminiscent of those in AREDS 2 supplements, which are quite well studied clinically, except that they’re present at about half the dosage compared to AREDS 2 levels.This may or may not be a shortcoming depending on who you are; AREDS 2 dosages are intentionally set high, perhaps high enough to cause side effects, so I can imagine that this supplement may be more suitable for some. Another factor that will be relevant for some users is that the softgels are small and easy to swallow. Again, considering the large capsules that AREDS 2 supplements tend to come in, it might mean the difference between being able to take advantage of the benefits of these ingredients and not.I’m removing one star due to the relatively high pricing compared to AREDS 2 supplements with more active ingredients and the lack of transparency regarding the exact dosages of lutein and zeaxanthin. Otherwise, I’m happy with the quality of ingredients and manufacturing (the branded lutein is worth noting) and would recommend it without reservations if its pricing were to improve.

Ok, but differ from other standard eye-type vitamins.
This review is for EYETAMINS Vision Support, which is currently selling for $25 for 30 pills (one months’ worth) on Amazon, which is a bit less than a dollar a day.I carefully compared this product to a standard, “eye vitamin” generic and a brand name eye vitamin as well, and find that this product has a lower dosage of almost every active ingredient. In addition, the well-known brands contain Vitamins C and E, Zinc, Copper, Lutein, amd Zeaxanthin. In contrast, this product adds Vitamin D, but not very much of it, and Astaxanthin.I would suggest that you take a careful look and question your medical professional about which one of these formulations is best suited to you. There are a lot of “additional ingredients” listed on the label, but that can be truthfuly said of the name-brand vitamins as well. I think it’s just a matter of what suits you best (and what is healthiest for you to take.)For other aspects, this is an easy-to-take pill, with no discernible flavor or aftertaste, and is packaged individually, so you can easily know how many you have taken and how many are left. The individual packaging also keeps them from getting too wet or spoiled by humidity, since they are designed to dissolve in a liquid environment.Since I don’t know enough about any of these medical claims to make any sort of recommendation (that’s what your doctor is for), I’ll just say that they appear to be fine to take, but there are some differences between this product and the others that are for similar needs. For myself, I am going to stick with my long-taken standard generic eye vitamin.
