Clean root with a mild, soothing cup
I’ve been using this loose marshmallow root mostly as a cold infusion, and that ended up being the best way for me to judge it. The pieces look clean and fairly uniform, with very little dust in the bag, so it measures out well and doesn’t turn into a muddy mess when you strain it. That matters with herbs like this, because some bags are full of tiny bits that make the whole thing harder to work with.The flavor is gentle and a little earthy, nothing harsh or bitter. When I let it sit overnight in cold water, the drink came out smooth with that slightly slippery texture people look for from this herb. I also tried simmering it once for a hotter cup, and that worked too, but the cold method gave me the nicer result. It’s not something you throw together in two minutes, though. You do have to plan ahead, and if you want a quick cup of tea, this is probably not the right option.What I like most is that it feels simple and unprocessed. It’s just the root, cut consistently enough that I didn’t have to pick out a bunch of stems or powder. The bag is also large, so it should last a while if you use it occasionally. Overall, this has been a solid buy for anyone who already knows how to prepare marshmallow root and wants a clean, dependable bulk option without a lot of extras getting in the way.

It actually tastes alright!
Did not know what to expect with this product and root as I have never tried or heard of it before. What you get is a bunch of dry stuff that looks more like wood chips and branch strands but it’s all consistent with no impurities such as dirt, rocks, or debris, and it’s all very dry. As such, I read the instructions and went for a cold press solution to preserve the beneficial health benefits as that appeared to be the best option. I used cold, store bought, water bottles and stuffed each with probably at least 4 tablespoons. After 24 hours, I strained it thru a stainless steel mesh and it separated very easily. What I was left with was the residual pulp and a slightly thicker yellow liquid. I reused the residual pulp in the next batch and added some fresh root, that way I can extract anything that was left. This is typical practice in European culture as I was taught by my parents of such tips. The, now pressed liquid, is actually not that bad and has a slight, sweet, herbal taste that is almost remeniscent of tea. It’s too soon to tell what health benefits this provides but from my practice with other types of roots, they are usually always beneficial and help with inflammation and healing so I doubt this will hurt in anyway and my acid reflux actually went down a bit so maybe this stuff does work. Either way, I am excited to experiment and try out this marshmallow root stuff and encourage you to do as well as long as you have no allergies and do your research. Every body is different and some are more skeptical than others and I am not not afraid of taking supplements or trying new stuff but a know a lot of others take caution so don’t let my review influence you to change your ways. This is my experience and I do not yet have the long term effects and/or side effects but can’t complain so far!

Amazing health benefits
The bag this tea came in is big this is a good amount for making tinctures. The tea is fresh. The taste of the tea is ok but its not my favorite. I added honey to it and it made it more enjoyable. The health benefits are amazing.

So I wanted to try something new and got this and I’ve read a little bit about it, that cold brewing is probably the best way to use it. so I tried it. I added to some water and ice, covered it and put it in the fridge for 24 hours. The liquid turned color a bit, like more tea looking, and I tried it. kind of an earthy flavor but enjoyed with honey. not my go-to, kind of like the dandelion tea I tried before, but I’ve read it helps coat and sooth the mucus areas. should assist this winter with cold season.
