    Great Combination of Curcumin & Boswellia In Nanoparticle Form

    I am a huge fan of Turmeric/Curcumin supplements, and I have been taking them for years as part of my daily vitamin and supplement routine. I have also recently started taking Boswellia Serrata from time to time, depending on how I’m feeling. I was really excited when I saw this product from One Planet Nutrition that combined both of these ingredients into a single capsule, and at decent potencies, at least in my opinion.However, what really got my attention about this particular product was the way it was described as using nanoparticles in its formulation. I was really intrigued by that, because the way it’s described states that this could be a more easily absorbable and bioavailable form. I’m really intrigued by that aspect, and I’m excited to see how I do with these over the coming months trying this product out.For now, I can say that I find the veggie capsules very easy to swallow, and I have not experienced any stomach discomfort or anything unpleasant in the way of side effects in taking them so far. I’m still gauging what daily dose works best for me. The instructions for usage say you can take one capsule up to three times per day, but I’m still trying out what works best for me. It kind of depends on how much inflammation and pain I’m dealing with on a particular day.At the moment, I have no complaints about the quality of this supplement. My only reason for not giving this five stars is simply because I don’t find it to be remotely close to any kind of reasonable value. It’s just not a budget-friendly option for me, and I doubt I would ever reorder these.

    High price tag for a product that didn’t work. YMMV.

    I have been taking Turmeric/Curcumin with BioPerine for around 5-6 years now. I find it helps tremendously with my back. As in I literally when taking it feel no pain. IF I run a little late taking it I start to feel slight twinges. It took a while to find the right brand that worked for me. Believe it or not even if it appears two different products have similar ingredients they might work differently. So I have stuck with my tried and true for quite some time. Initially I was taking 1000mgs a day and for at least four + years have been holding steady on 500mgs a day. I never look for a different brand BUT I acknowledge that there might be something better out there…so when this bottle of Nano Curcumin Plus from One Planet Nutrition popped up I wanted to give it a try.This bottle contains 240 capsules with a recommendation of one capsule 1-3 times daily as needed. So this bottle could last you anywhere from eighty days…a little under three months…up to eight months if you only need one a day.Lot # and best by date….12/2027….stamped on the bottom of the bottle.There is no smell when opening the bottle.Capsules are average size.I was intrigued by this. Nano particles. Hmm…better absorption and bioavailability..interesting. I assumed this was why there is no BioPerine in it…that the nano particles would absorb without needing it.Each ingredient and amount per serving listed individually.Since I have never taken Boswellia I did a little research. It seems it can help much in the same way turmeric/ curcumin does but both act in different ways, so I thought the blend might work well. HEADS UP….I did find that it can interact with Ibuprofen.I started out with one capsule. I figured 500 mgs of my regular and this is 250mgs of turmeric/ curcumin and 250mgs of boswellia so 500 mgs total of anti inflammatories.Since I KNOW the brand and dosing I use works I also know from the past that usually within 3-5 days IF a different brand isn’t working I will feel it.Days 1-2 were fine. No issues at all. Day 3… by late afternoon I was having some twinges and a very light dull ache in my back. I took a second capsule. Day 4 twinging and ache continued so at the time to take this I went with two again figuring it might take a day or two to get it back under control. Day 5…worse than day 4. Day 6 I upped to three per day. Still dull ache and the twinges. Day 7…tried three again and still a dull ache/ twinges. And keep in mind at three capsules per day I am taking 250mgs MORE of this than I am my tried and true.Needless to say today…day 8…I am back to taking my regular brand of turmeric / curcumin with BioPerine. And it will probably take a couple days to get the twinge / ache back under control.This supplement is not it for me.Company does have a very nice website which I checked out and while on their website and their listing it shows cGMP and third party testing I can not find any type of results of those third party tests. I also find it interesting that there is no third party test stamp on the bottle.For the price of this…which IF you only need one per day is to the high side but still within reason….for someone who potentially needs the upper end of three I find the price extremely high. Especially when my verifiable third party tested brand I take daily is literally a tenth of the cost per capsule. And that is a tenth when I was using three a day.While this might work for overall wellness and I also acknowledge that everyone’s results with supplements vary I think this high priced supplement is a risk you can decide if you want to take or not.For me personally I’d give this a 2.5 all things considered. In the interest of fairness I will round it up to three stars.
