I was recently diagnosed with PCOS. I bought these after reading all of the reviews and after doing weeks of research about PCOS treatments, if you are unaware, PCOS is not curable but the symptoms that bother a woman the most can be treated. I wanted a more natural way to control weight gain, mood swings, excess facial hair and uncontrollable acne (all things Inositol has been tested to help manage-not CURE, but help). I know it’s a holistic product, meaning it can take quite a bit of time to work, but from other reviews on it some women noticed results in 2 weeks. I don’t care about fertility so symptoms in relation to fertility weren’t tracked. I’ve been taking them for a month now and I have noticed 0 changes. That’s not why I’m giving 3 stars however, because as I mentioned, holistic medications can take more than 3 months for real results. I’m giving this product 3 stars because of the capsules themselves. Taking 4 pills a day is a lot. I went from taking 0 medication to 4, rather large, very unpleasant capsules. I can taste them immediately, they make me gag and they cause me to burp and taste them all over again. I often feel nauseous immediately after because of the taste. One positive I noticed is that I didn’t have to take them with food, but I did anyway. The amount you have to take in conjunction with the price point and the time needed to see results, especially since this is primarily used for fertility, makes this a 3 from me. Always do your research before making an investment like this one. I’m glad I did research first and I would recommend this to women who can handle the capsules and are looking for fertility management.

POSITIVES: I have PCOS and haven’t had a period in over 7 months! 4 Days after starting this, I got my period!!! I was diagnosed with PCOS in March 2018. I was concerned as I had never heard of PCOS prior to my regular OB/GYN check up. I am 29 years old. I went 8 months without a period. This is a life changer! I have PCOS and as a result have suffered from weight gain, cystic acne, hirsutism, acanthosis nigricans, menorrhagia….you name it! I got this 4 months ago but did not start taking it until about 3 weeks ago. In this time my period has finally stopped, my face is COMPLETELY clear of acne, my facial hair has slowed down dramatically, my sweet cravings have all but disappeared (which I guess is the result of balancing my blood sugars), my anxiety is waaaaay down (which I didn’t even know was a side effect of this supplement), and my neck is (slowly) starting to lighten up. Disclaimer: When I decided to buy this supplement, I thought it was just going to balance my hormones and regulate my period. I did not realize that all these added benefits would also be part of the deal. I am ALSO supplementing with 800 to 1200mg Vitex daily, but I have tried Vitex on it’s own prior to this and did not get these types of results. Vitex is normally able to stop my period on it’s own, but I have never had these additional benefits on vitex. Only thing I hate is that I have to take so many pills in one sitting. I’ve been taking 4 pills at night to give it max time to absorb, but I am going to try taking 2 in the morning and 2 at night to see how that works as well. I do notice that if I miss a day or take it late that I may have spotting in between. The real test will be to see if I’m able to have a “normal ” cycle next month. You definitely have to be diligent, but when you are, the rewards are totally worth it!

My period is back!
Bought this after reading all the great reviews, I did research for months of what to take to balance hormones after BC pills. Read about myo-inositol and found this on amazon. Of course just like everyone else I was iffy but the reviews convinced me. I’m almost done with my first bottle but after taking this pills 2 weeks I got my period after not having one in 8 months aug 2019. I was so happy to finally have a period and I also feel like I’m finally ovulating which I know I wasn’t. My husband and I are definitely trying to get pregnant in just a few months but I really need to get my body back on track and this seems to be the right thing. I am also taking zinc, magnesium and omegas. I have never been diagnosed with PCOS but my whole life I’ve had very irregular periods. I do have a son which I was surprised when I had him because of my irregular periods but only God knows and his miracles. Now 6 years later I want to conceive and here I am finding this holy grail. If you’re iffy about the product just take it you don’t lose anything. The only down side is this product had been out of stock for almost a month and I was already trying to find alternatives but thank God is back in stock and now I ordered 2 bottles. I had heard amazing things from PCOS support groups about this supplement and decided to try it to help reduce excess facial hair. Initially, I really like this supplement! I noticed a huge difference in the amount of hair I was getting on my chin and face after taking these consistently. I also noticed an increase in energy and positive mood. However, this supplement caused severe insomnia for me. No matter what time of day I took it, how little or much, I could not go to sleep or stay asleep. I just felt completely wired. I tried to muscle through and continue taking it, but my sleep is just too important to mess with. Others have reported sleep disturbances as well, but all bodies are different. I still believe this supplement works and helps as advertised, but it just didn’t work completely for me.
