    So Far So Good

    I’m learning more and more about the benefits of olive leaf and this “Organic Olive Leaf Extract Capsules Olivie Force/Rich | Antioxidant Polyphenol Supplement for Adults | Health Support Supplement | 50 Vegetal Capsules (50 Capsules)” offers an organic option that claims to be stronger than the usual capsule. These capsules are encased in translucent shells and are a deep green in color. The capsules are average in size and easy to swallow, as well as don’t give me burps or heartburn. The company has an interesting approach explaining how the leaves are harvested under harsher conditions that promote a stronger amount of antioxidants, etc. Like I said, I’m new to olive leaf as a benefit, but as a huge fan of herbal supplements, I’ll continue to take this one and hope that it helps fortify my health.

    Easy to take and USDA organic!

    These olive leaf extract capsules are easy to take and swallow with a glass of water. I have not experienced any digestive upsets with these, and I love the fact that they are USDA organic, which is important to me. No bad side effects at all, and I like the health benefits. Good quality – they get two thumbs up from me!

    clear gel caps (regular sized), olive leaf powder no additives

    Note that the caps I received are clear instead of opaque green like in the description’s picture. I like the clear caps – I can see the leaf powder. These smell like olive leaf caps, but not objectionable at all. Easy to swallow – regular-sized caps. I take two caps about every 3 to 4 days, unless I’m coming down with a cold or flu (then I’ll take 2/day). Directions say 2-3 caps per day taken AFTER LUNCH OR DINNER. I’ve been doing that, and so far, no adverse reactions – seem to be just as good as my previous olive leaf caps. Good product.

    Organic. But small quantity.

    Pros: Supposedly organic (though it doesn’t list the certifying agency so there’s that…). Olive leaf has been used for thousands of years as an herbal treatment for a variety of conditions and current research shows promising results in benefitting blood sugar regulation as well as immune support. So there’s both ancient and modern support for its use. Also I like that it’s whole fruit and leaf powder rather than some type of concentrated extract. I feel like sometimes important components are lost when plants are processed too much to create “concentrates” so I like that this is the whole leaf/fruit. The manufacturer claims to be carbon-neutral. And the tablet bottle is small and efficient (none that funny business that other manufacturers do when the leave the top half of the bottle totally empty).Cons: Only 50 tablets and the dose is 2-3 tablets 2 times per day. So this is just a 10-day supply which seems excessively low. The benefits of supplements are usually seen over the course of weeks to months, so I’m not sure this contains enough to actually show any real benefit if you just use one bottle. Also the price at $0.50 per capsule seems a little high.Final thoughts: I think this is a potentially good supplement in terms of quality and theoretical benefit, but I think the cost per capsule is high, and there are not enough capsules per bottle to really see the maximum benefit.

    First off, for those shoppers who don’t know a lot about Olive (fruit and) leaf extract, it has been proven to be a powerful antioxidant.  The polyphenols are good, but the unique and powerful polyphenol in Olive leaves called oleuropein provides anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and antimicrobial effects. See WebMD of other credible sources for confirmation and more information.While entire books have been written about antioxidants, the super short version is that antioxidants neutralize free radicals in your body which are molecules that can damage your body at the cellular level.In general, antioxidants help offset the free radicals are introduced daily into our body from a multitude of sources including toxins in our food and water, alcohol, air pollution, and even excessive exposure to sun.Now, on to Olivie, the family in charge of this company has been growing olive trees for four generations. They are a completely legitimate company unlike so many drop-ship vitamin companies that spring up on the internet, with questionable sourcing and no certifications whatsoever. A quick websearch of Olivie Health will tell you all you need to know about he purity and safety of the company behind this product. I have been taking one capsule per day for the last three weeks with a meal without any aftertaste, discomfort, or any other issues. The pills are about the length of penny, but are easy to swallow for me. There are 50 pills per bottle and I take these with other antioxidants/anti-inflammatory capsules.Many reviewers will say they haven’t noticed any difference after taking this supplement. My thought is that since there is absolutely no way, without extensive testing, to confirm what is happening at the cellular level in your body, the best any of us can do is find the very best providers of the very best products, and take them for a long enough time to make a difference,While this product does cost more than many of the competing olive leaf derived products, Olivie has numerous certifications as well as clinical studies that back up their product. How many of the competitors can say that?Final thought – an outstanding product, at a reasonable price, to combat everything life throws at us at a cellular level.

    Worth a try

    I live in a city and appreciate all the help I can get staying healthy. This supplement offers me antioxidants to combat the free radicals that are all around me and all in me every day. Capsules are easy to swallow with no unwanted after effects as far as stomach upset, etc. Thank you olive leaf!

    Allergic reaction to product

    I had an allergic reaction to this product. Difficulty breathing and steady cough. Found out afterwards the product side effects.
