This is my first lithium or lithium orotate supplement to try. I read a lot of reviews and wanted to give it a try as a sleep quality supplement. I took my very first pill last night and after 45 minutes my arms started itching a lot. I searched online to discover that be lithium orotate could be highly allergenic. I immediately took an antihistamine pill, put anti itch cream on my arms and back before discarding the bottle. I was really excited for this supplement and didn’t expect to have such an allergic reaction. When you try it for the first time, make sure you have antihistamine pills and anti itch cream available nearby.

I ordered this because I had been reading about lithium orotate as a trace mineral and wanted to try a low dose option that fit into my existing supplement routine. The bottle is small and light and sits easily on my bathroom shelf next to my other Nutricost bottles. The capsules are standard size and go down without any issue.Each capsule is 1,000mcg and there are 120 of them in the bottle so it lasts a while. The formula is vegan and gluten free and GMO free and the facility is NSF certified and GMP compliant which matters to me since I pay attention to where supplements come from. Nutricost makes these in the USA with globally sourced ingredients and the product is third party tested.I take one capsule in the morning and the routine is simple enough that I do not think about it much. My cat has zero interest in this bottle which is honestly a relief because she gets into everything.

Good product, could use a bit more information on independent lab testing
These capsules are well packaged, and small and easy to swallow. The photo shows one lithium orotate capsule, compared to the size of a quarter. The recommend one capsule a day, so the 120-capsule bottle is good for four months. Seems to be overall a good product. There are some seals on the bottle that state that this product is manufactured according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and is quality guaranteed, and on the Amazon product site it states that the product is third-party tested, which is all good. I couldn’t find a GMP-certification for the product on the Amazon site, but Alexa says the certifying organization is NSF International. Neither Alexa or I could find any information on which lab did the third-party testing, or what the results were, and I checked the Nutricost company website but couldn’t find anything there. This information would be very useful in ensuring that this is a quality product.

Caused Fatigue For Me
I was looking for a lower dose supplement. This one is lower than many on the market, and the formula is simple. The capsules were very easy to swallow, and the value is great at around $13 for 120 servings. This is great if you’re specifically looking for a low-dose trace mineral supplement.Unfortunately, I experienced some fatigue from this, even at the low dose. While a lot of people use this supplement for mood, I found the research on over-the-counter low-dose lithium is still limited. Overall, I think this is a well-priced, quality product, but I’d recommend starting with one capsule to see how your body responds before deciding if it’s right for you. Also, always speak to your health care provider before trying a supplement.
