Great for circulation
This NutraChamps Beet Root Powder mixes very well into water with just a simple spoon. It has a very light, fruity cherry/ beet flavor when mixed into flat water. I don’t love beets, but you can barely taste them, so it’s not really a bother if you want to drink it straight. It’s not an overpowering cherry flavor either. It’s best in fruit smoothies and protein shakes. I find it adds a pleasant touch of sweetness and color without adding additional sugars or food coloring. It makes my berry spinach smoothie, vanilla, or Almased smoothies more flavor-filled and visually appealing. When mixed into smoothies and shakes, you can’t taste even the slight beet flavor.I do think this formula actually works for improving circulation. I find that I feel a bit more awake and alert on the days I add a scoop, and I feel it has helped with a minor recent injury. I slept on my shoulder wrong, and my rotator cuff started to really hurt. It got so bad that it was uncomfortable to move it. The doctor put me on a light evening dose of a muscle relaxer, acetaminophen, and prednisone. After two days, it was only marginally improving and still uncomfortable to move or sleep. Reading more on rotator cuff injuries, I saw that the injury could have been linked to me cutting off my circulation, not just overextending or straining my arm in my sleep. There wasn’t a drug interaction issue, so I figured it couldn’t hurt, and drank down a scoop in the last half of my mint ginger tea. True, it could have been the meds finally taking effect or a coincidence, but I swear, within two hours, the dull pain finally really started to lift. It improved enough that I was able to skip the next and any subsequent doses of acetaminophen (I hate taking meds). My Dr. gave the ok to stop the muscle relaxer at night since I was feeling better and it was a low dosage, but to keep tapering down the pred. So I’ve just been doing that with the beet juice in the mornings and feel like myself again. 5 days in, and I woke up this morning, reached over to shut off the alarm, and completely forgot about my shoulder. I could barely do that even two days ago. I can’t comment on blood pressure support or anything like that. My pressure has always tracked on the high end of normal, but nothing that my doctors have ever prescribed medication for. I guess I’ll see if that improves as well. All in all, good stuff even if I’m experiencing a bit of the placebo effect. If it’s not helping anything, it definitely isn’t hurting anything.This is my second bottle. Until this last week, I usually only take a scoop a few times a week, so a bottle lasts a while for me. I feel I should mention that if there are any real cons, it is that if you’re not taking it every day, it does start to cake and get chunks if you let it sit too long. It started to get weird after a few months in the summer, when the air had more moisture in it. I live in a city with 3 rivers, so that may not be a problem in drier climates.

Hate the short handle
This beet powder is a little easier to dissolve than others I have tried and the taste is pleasant. However, I am disappointed they changed from a longer handle on the scoop to a short handle thus guaranteeing beet powder on one’s fingers which tends to stain everything.

Decent Beet Supplement. A bit sweet.
I like beets and overall, this is a good supplement for the price. It is a bit sweet and I think it’s the Stevia in these products that turns me off a bit. I mixed this with my fiber supplements in the mornings and would use this again in a pinch. The amount you take with this one is even smaller than the greens powder from this same company- similar size container but the beet supplement provides 60 servings while the greens supplement only gives 30.

Not worth it
I’m using this but to be honest it’s a struggle. The flavor is pretty strong beet taste. I try to camouflage it by putting it in other things but it’s still there. It does clump quite a bit so it can be hard to get it to all mix in. The scoop makes it easy to measure out the right amount. I have not noticed any side affects or had any kind of bad reaction to it. I am concerned about the lead levels in it. It did come with a warning label on it for lead exposure. I will not be purchasing it again

I actually think this stuff is worth the money…only thing I dont like is they felt the need to sweeten for some reason. So I’ll still probably switch to a different beetroot powder for myself but ky husband loves this stuff and swears it gives him more energy.It actually blends very nicely into water or anything really.
