NOW is a trusted brand and you get a 3 months supple with this zinc supplement to help your immune system. I was popping Zicam when I was fighting a cold and that bottle was expensive. I want to optimize my zinc supply before I get sick and hope that it can be more preventative. This is a smaller dosage at 22mg. Most zinc supplements are at 50mg so starting out with a smaller dosage appeals to me. The pills are small and easy to swallow unlike the bigger horse pill supplements I have. Cold season is approaching so time will tell if taking this daily will help me ward off any illnesses. So far, it has prevented me from getting sick once my kids started up school again, but dodging the cold season this fall/winter will be the true test. Regardless, I can be confident that these NOW supplements are not doing any harm to my body.

I order a lot from NOW, Jarrow, Life Extension and Carlyle brands and in general they are all very good brands with quality supplements. Regarding this Zinc formulation from NOW, I do prefer the Jarrow formula because it balances Zinc with Copper as Zinc and Copper compete for absorption in the gut and share metallothionein-mediated transport where high supplemental Zinc can cause copper deficiency over time. A widely used preventive ratio is 10:1 zinc to copper and sometimes up to 15:1/20:1 where you may need more Zinc. At $11.99 at the time of review, it’s a fair price.

Easy to swallow but wish the bottle had better labeling
I’ve been taking this zinc supplement for about 2 months now as part of my daily routine and its been pretty straightforward. The tablets are a decent size and easy to swallow with water, no weird aftertaste or smell like some other supplements I’ve tried. I take one with breakfast as recommended and haven’t had any stomach upset or issues. The bottle is a good size and seems like it will last me about 3-4 months with daily use. The packaging feels sturdy and the child-resistant cap works well. One thing that bugs me is that the label could be clearer about the dosage information – I had to read it a few times to make sure I was taking the right amount. The tablets themselves look consistent in size and color, though there is some natural variation like they mention. I appreciate that its vegan since I try to avoid animal products when possible. The family-owned company aspect is nice and gives me confidence in the quality control. The price point seems reasonable compared to other similar products I looked at. Storage is easy since it doesn’t need refrigeration and fits well in my medicine cabinet. The expiration date is clearly marked and gives me plenty of time to use up the bottle. Would I buy it again? Probably, its a solid basic supplement that does what I need it to do without any fuss. Nothing fancy but reliable and well-made from what I can tell so far.

NOW brand is a trusted brand i have ised for years amd I can feel confident and safe whenever I try their products. I wanted to try this Zinc Transporters supplement to keep my immune system strong and healthy. I also am impressed that it helps to provide nourishment to your skin, too. I have noticed my breakouts are fewer these days which is a huge bonus. I feel like this will be one of those supplements kept on hand for flu and cold seasons and just when I need the extra boost. The tablets are super easy to take, small and no adverse effects. I don’t always eat the best, so I’m glad I have a supplement on hand during those times too.
