I was interested in trying these because I’ve heard a lot that Ceylon cinnamon can help with a medical condition I have. I will not speak to if they are working or not. However, the capsules are small, just a bit bigger than my vitamin D supplement, smooth and sleek and very easy to swallow. They do not have any taste that I have noticed, nor much of an odor. They also seem sturdy. I was concerned about them being in a glorified plastic bag, but that doesn’t seem to be an issue as there is no evidence of any of the capsules being damaged or leaking. The serving size is 2 capsules.

Good cinnamon supplement undermined by an unnecessary mystery ingredient/potential allergen
ASIN: B0H8756M88 $32.99 ($0.11/count)Noralife Ceylon Cinnamon Capsules with MCT Oil, Highly Bioavailable Herbal Extract, Non-GMO & Gluten Free, 300 CountDescription:These softgels contain Ceylon cinnamon extract (Cinnamomum verum) equivalent to 7,200 mg of raw cinnamon bark per serving, combined with MCT oil. The 300-count supplement is non-GMO and gluten-free and is intended for daily use.Review:On the surface, this seems like a very good Ceylon cinnamon supplement. It uses Ceylon cinnamon rather than cassia, provides a concentrated extract, and comes in a large 300-count bottle at a reasonable price per capsule.Unfortunately, I can’t actually test it because of the inclusion of MCT oil. MCT oil is commonly derived from coconut or palm, and coconut is an allergen for me. The listing does not identify the source of the MCT oil, so I can’t determine whether this product is safe for me to take. I also don’t see a compelling reason to add MCT oil to a cinnamon supplement when doing so introduces an ingredient that some people need to avoid. For someone who has no issue with coconut or palm-derived MCT oil, this otherwise appears to be a nicely formulated and reasonably priced product. However, if you have a coconut allergy or sensitivity, I would not assume this is safe without first finding out exactly where the MCT oil comes from. I wish the manufacturer either omitted the MCT oil or clearly disclosed its source, because without that information I can’t use what otherwise looks like a good supplement.—Supplement Facts:Serving Size: 2 SoftgelsServings Per Container: 150Amount Per Serving:Calories: 10Total Fat: 1 g (1% DV)Ceylon Cinnamon Extract: 600 mg(Cinnamomum verum) (bark), 12:1 extractEquivalent to 7,200 mg of Ceylon CinnamonOther Ingredients:MCT Oil (from Coconut Oil), Softgel (Gelatin, Glycerin, Purified Water)Suggested Use:Take 2 softgels daily with your favorite drink.Ingredient Breakdown:* Ceylon Cinnamon Extract – A concentrated 12:1 extract of Cinnamomum verum bark. The 600 mg serving is stated to be equivalent to 7,200 mg of whole Ceylon cinnamon. Ceylon cinnamon is sometimes called “true cinnamon” and contains substantially less coumarin than Cassia cinnamon, making it generally preferable when cinnamon is consumed regularly.* MCT Oil – Serves primarily as the oil carrier for the cinnamon extract. The label specifies that the MCT oil is derived from coconut oil.* Gelatin – Forms the softgel capsule; animal-derived, so the product is not vegetarian or vegan.* Glycerin – Helps maintain the softgel’s texture and flexibility.* Purified Water – Used in manufacturing the softgel.Dose / Potency:The serving provides 600 mg of a 12:1 extract, which the manufacturer equates to 7,200 mg of Ceylon cinnamon bark. That sounds enormous, but the 7,200 mg figure is a botanical-equivalent calculation rather than 7.2 grams of cinnamon physically contained in the capsules. The actual extract dose is 600 mg.Potential Concerns:* Blood Sugar – Cinnamon may affect blood glucose, so people taking glucose-lowering medications should be cautious about combining them.* Coumarin – Ceylon cinnamon is a significant advantage over Cassia cinnamon for regular supplementation because it generally contains much less coumarin, a compound associated with liver toxicity at sufficiently high exposure.* Concentrated Extract – This is a fairly concentrated botanical preparation, so the whole-herb equivalent should not be interpreted as meaning that taking 7.2 g of ordinary cinnamon would necessarily have the same pharmacological effect.* Coconut – The MCT oil is explicitly derived from coconut oil.* Gelatin – Makes the product unsuitable for vegetarians and vegans.* Pregnancy / Medications / Medical Conditions – Because this is a concentrated botanical extract, potential interactions and individual contraindications should be considered rather than treating it as simply a culinary amount of cinnamon.Label / Quality Notes:* Identifies the cinnamon specifically as Cinnamomum verum (Ceylon cinnamon).* Identifies bark as the plant part used.* Gives both the actual extract amount (600 mg) and extraction ratio (12:1).* Gives the whole-herb equivalent (7,200 mg).* Claims lab tested, non-GMO, gluten-free, and free of tree nuts.* Despite the “free of tree nuts” statement, the product contains MCT oil derived from coconut, which is explicitly disclosed in the ingredient list.Overall Assessment:This is a straightforward, well-labeled Ceylon cinnamon supplement with very few inactive ingredients. Using Ceylon rather than Cassia cinnamon is a meaningful positive for a product intended for daily use because of Ceylon’s much lower typical coumarin content. The transparent disclosure of 600 mg extract, 12:1 concentration, species, plant part, and 7,200 mg whole-herb equivalent is also a strong point. The main caveats are that the blood-sugar benefits of cinnamon supplementation are not firmly established, the extract is concentrated, and the coconut-derived MCT oil and gelatin may make it unsuitable for some users.

Easy to swallow
These capsules are great for anyone looking to support their metabolic health and energy! I like how they use real Cinnamomum Verum and MCT oil, which significantly helps with your body’s absorption. I haven’t noticed an aftertaste yet after using them for a few months. They are very gentle on the stomach and offer great daily support for your overall wellness and inflammation.

An Easy Way to Add Ceylon Cinnamon to My Routine
I picked up these Ceylon cinnamon capsules as an easy way to add cinnamon extract to my daily supplement routine. The formula uses Ceylon cinnamon extract with MCT oil, and I like that it comes in a generous 300-count bottle. It was well packaged when it arrived and had a fresh cinnamon scent, which gave me a good first impression. The softgels are an easy format for taking a concentrated cinnamon extract without having to add cinnamon to food every day. According to the listing, each serving provides Ceylon cinnamon extract equivalent to 7,200 mg of raw cinnamon bark, along with MCT oil, and the formula is non-GMO and gluten-free. I chose it in part because I am interested in the potential wellness benefits associated with Ceylon cinnamon, including antioxidant support and support for healthy blood sugar and metabolic function, although I know it is too early for me to say whether I will personally notice those benefits.Overall, this is a convenient way to incorporate Ceylon cinnamon into my routine without dealing with loose powder or trying to remember to use the spice in my cooking. The large bottle should last quite a while, and I appreciate the straightforward ingredient combination. I will give it some time and see how it fits into my regular wellness routine.

A good option for those looking for a Ceylon Cinnamon extract supplement.
If you look online, you see a whole slew of potential health benefits of Ceylon cinnamon extract. These include heart health, anti-inflammatory properties, blood sugar management, antioxidant, antibiotic, and may lower cholesterol. Also Ceylon cinnamon extract is said to contain less of the potentially harmful coumarin than other types of cinnamon. The MCT oil is supposed to improve energy and focus.A couple family members have embarked on a trial of these Noralife Ceylon Cinnamon Capsules as part of our daily wellness routine. The package contains 300 gel caps so the package should last the two of us approximately 2.5 months. We have been taking the gel capsules for several days now and so far are pleased with the results. The capsules are easy to swallow. We haven’t noticed any ill effects. I was concerned that it might cause some stomach issues but so far no problems. We haven’t noticed any taste or aftertaste. Our package directions say, “take 2 softgels daily with your favorite drink”, but the listing information says to take with food, so we take them with food and drink to cover both bases.Value wise the Ovofem Noralife Ceylon Cinnamon 300 Capsule package was priced at $27 when I ordered it. That is about $0.09/pill or $0.18/day per person. If even a few of the potential health benefits turn out to be true, that 18 cents per day is a great value. So far we remain cautiously optimistic.

Easy way to take MCT oil daily, plus getting the benefits of Cetlon Cinnamon
I used to add MCT oil to my coffee, but it would lead to occasional stomach cramping and I’m so glad I discovered the Ovefem Noralife Ceylon Cinnamon Capsules with MCT Oil. So far, it seems to be offering the same benefit without bothering my stomach. My coffee tastes better without the oil and I no longer need to drink coffee to take my MCT oil. It’s a win for me since this is much less expensive plus you get the benefits of Ceylon Cinnamon.

Large quantity so they’ll last awhile
I’m really happy with these Ceylon cinnamon capsules. They’re easy to take, and I like that the formula includes MCT oil and uses non-GMO, gluten-free ingredients. The 300-count bottle is also a great size and should last quite a while. The capsules are convenient and don’t leave me with an unpleasant aftertaste. A great addition to my daily supplement routine!
