A good value for a small tab… -let
These come in a tablet rather than a gel capsule or gummy.As a result, although odorless I did notice a slightly sour taste that wasn’t overwhelming or cloying/lingering – probably from the vitamin C.After all, it’s a vitamin, so it’s supposed to be something already in your system.I have a D deficiency, so these are an excellent supplement for treating that, as one pill provides you plenty of supplemental nutrition for 24 hrs.I recommend you take one after dinner, as vitamin D has been directly linked to your body’s natural melatonin release, which can result in drowsiness & needing to hit the proverbial sack for a bit.Vitamin D is also great for circulation issues, heart & liver function, and bone strength, as well as your memory. You’ll do very well getting this product if it’s found you have a deficiency, or you just have issues with some of the areas I just described. A simple vitamin can help reduce a lot of issues, but is no substitute for a regular checkup from a qualified medical professional, who were the ones that told me about my deficiency, and taking regular doses of D has helped me improve my overall health & quality of life in so many ways. So many people get so caught up in supplements and “life hacks” that they forget to hit some of the bases as far as it goes for supplements.Most people have a functional vitamin D deficiency even in areas that are pretty sunny. A lot of people assume that they’re getting enough vitamin D from the sun and this is generally not the case, especially when accounting for applying sunscreen and so on. There are so many health conditions across the board that can be improved by intake of vitamin D, from depression, inflammation, osteoporosis, and more. Not to mention boosting immunity which is really needed in this day and age.In addition this supplement has K2, which is important to take along with vitamin D to help offset calcification and a double dose of vitamin C for extra immunity benefit.I have chronic health issues so I have my bases covered for this kind of stuff but I got these pills for my husband as he’s not always great with taking supplements. If you’re a person who can’t be bothered to remember to take a bunch of vitamins every day or don’t want to bother, this supplement is great for that. One pill, easy to take, with a year long supply, at 11 cents a pill, AND the rock solid quality of Nootropics Depot?? What’s not to like?Actually, I do have one suggestion – I got these for my husband so it doesn’t matter for him but I couldn’t take these because they are not vegan. I wish that ND would choose vegan sources of D3 for their supplements. This D3 is from lanolin and not vegan. So just keep that in mind.

Kind of pricey but worth it.
Surprisingly has a nice flavor, almost citrusy. It’s not a capsule but rather a round pill so it’s very easy to swallow. I feel that it helps with many things, such as fatigue and brain fog, especially in the winter since I don’t get as much vitamin D as I should.

I have been taking D3 for a while under my doctor’s recommendation and have learned a lot in the process. First of all it is important to take k2 with vitamin D for absorption of both the D and calcium. This product has both. Second, it is a fat soluble vitamin. It is usually taken in a gel form which is thought to have more bioavailability, meaning more getting into the bloodstream. These are in tablet form. In doing my research studies have shown that people get just as much benefit from taking vitamin D in tablet form as in gel and liquid forms. The other good thing about tablets is they can be cut in half. If 5000 ius is higher then you want you can cut them in half. They are scored for that purpose.This product is made from lanolin from sheep’s wool. This sounded very odd to me when I first heard it but this is actually where most and the best D 3 comes from. I am not a vegan but I’ve been a vegetarian for many years. I don’t really understand the reason for not using sheep wool for a vitamin or anything else since the sheep are not harmed in the process.
