Nicotinamide riboside (NR) is a popular precursor to NAD+. I’ve been supplementing with NR for several years now, and it does seem to help maintain my energy level. Some studies have shown that NR is better at increasing NAD+ levels (and therefore cellular energy) than NMN, and also that NR might help to improve insulin sensitivity.My bottle of easily-swallowed smallish capsules arrived fresh, with a ‘Best by’ date 21 months away. After about a week, I’ve experienced absolutely no unwanted side effects. Some experts recommend taking TMG with NR, so I always do that. TMG is said to boost the bioavailability of NR and help to protect NR from being broken down.I like that Nootropics Depot nicotinamide riboside is not only lab-tested, but that the results are also posted on the Amazon product page. Lab testing is important to me, and GMP manufacturing is another important plus for this product. I also appreciate that the size of the bottle is appropriate for the contents. No waste here.The current price is competitive with my usual brand, so five stars for quality and value.

I love Nootropics for their quality manufacturing and testing. I have used NR in the past as well as NMN and I find this to be a good NR for me.I used to have a hard time deciding whether to take NR or NMN. I find NR to give me more immediate, daily energy. I don’t see a short term difference when I take NMN, so I am taking it for the long term anti-aging benefits, but with NR I can see the benefits more quickly so I see a bigger immediate return on the NR.Nootropics does tend to run on the expensive side so its sometimes hard to choose which of their fabulous formulas I can afford each month but other than that, they are one of my favorite supplement suppliers for both effectiveness and quality.

The bottle I received was fresh with about 2 years of shelf life.Nicotinamide Riboside is converted by your body into Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD+). NAD+ helps fight the effects of aging by improving cellular health and vitality. Taking this supplement committedly will improve your energy levels and reduce overall fatigue. To get the maximum effect, it’s recommend that you take it with Resveratrol. I’ve been taking 1 cap/day as part of daily supplement regimen and haven’t had any adverse effects. In fact I’ve felt more energized through the whole day.As far as value goes, the price (currently $34.99) is fair for a 1 month supply from a reputable supplier. Overall, I recommend it!

pretty potent stuff in an adorable, tiny bottle
So, this really does have some punch to it. I tried taking a half-capsule sublingually (absorb through mouth) and Yeesh, that is strong. In this review form it asks about “sleep quality” but i’d never in a million years take this before sleep. It is very stimulating.I’ve been taking a few other NAD+ supplements for a few years, including NAD+, NADH (sublingual and capsule), NMN, and now this, NR. This one had the strongest effect of all of them.That said, that doesn’t mean it was completely positive. Yes, I get energy but it felt like a bit too much, and there was a sensation of pressure in my head. It’s possible that I had one of the other NAD forms too recently and there was an interaction, but I don’t think it was on the same day. Or maybe the digestive system attenuates this stuff a lot and sublingual absorption is a bad plan.My favorite is still NADH low-dose sublingual dots – that felt like it only had upsides to it. It was a mild, relaxed, simple energy that went great with caffeine. But, this might work for you. It’s clearly doing something. It’s not just a placebo or snake oil, as many supplements are.

The real deal – pure nicotinamide riboside
This is a great nicotinamide riboside supplement. It uses “nicotinamide riboside chloride”, and is 3rd party tested for purity and potency.It offers 300mg per capsule. 300mg is the standard dose for NR, and a sufficient dose to boost your NAD+ levels. The optimal dose is anywhere from 300-1000mg per day, so this is a great starting dose.NootropicsDepot makes great supplements, and this one is no exception. It’s just NR chloride, plain and simple. It would be better with the addition of Betaine/TMG, but it’s fine for what it is.Overall – if you’re looking for pure high quality NR, this is a great choice. I’m not sure I would opt for this over the name brand NR supplements, but it’s a great supplement.

I bought this as a less expensive alternative to another product (TN). I used 2 100mg of the TN one time daily at mid-day when I was my most exhausted. It’s an excellent product. TN provided both energy and mental clarity. This product – Nootropics Depo NAD is 300mg doesn’t work the same. I feel no boost of energy and I haven’t experienced the same mental clarity that helped me through my work day. It promotes cellular energy. Well, maybe that’s true. I can’t measure cellular energy. Maybe my cells are having a party inside my body while I doze off at work. lol… If you want energy and mental clarity then this isn’t the product for you. I’m returning to TN. It’s expensive but well worth it. This product I’ll continue to take until I received my order of TN because hey who knows – my cells just might be jamming it out to footloose or something up in my body. But as soon as I get my order of TN in the trash this bottle will go… – Oh yeah – no refunds folks.

Not for me…
I tried this out for the full course of 30 days, my experience with it wasn’t positive, it disturbed my sleep, instead of getting a usual 7-8 hours of sleep, I was waking up around 6 hours and feeling groggy.
