Disappointing quality control arrived as a sticky mess

​I was really hoping these would be my new go-to for some extra kick during my training sessions, but I was let down the second I opened the delivery. The packaging feels very cheap and flimsy—definitely not the level of quality I expected for a performance supplement.​My biggest issue, though, was that one of the packets had burst or leaked during transit. There was sticky gel all over the inside of the pack, which is not only gross but a huge red flag for safety. Since the seal was broken on at least one and they were all covered in residue, I didn’t feel comfortable actually ingesting any of them.​It’s a shame because the ingredient profile (160mg caffeine and 4000mg L-Citrulline) looked promising on paper, but if the company can’t get the basic packaging right, I can’t trust the product inside. I won’t be risking my health on a supplement that arrives compromised. Total waste of money.

Bit strong, but quite convenient

I like these, but there are a few small downsides—first, the caffeine content is rather high, not insane, but it’s definitely more like a 5 hour energy than anything else. The main thing is that the flavor is VERY strong, and it has a really tangy, sweet taste, all of the flavors I was sent do. Even if you enjoy sweet tastes, this is definitely just a tiny bit too strong. That said, the packaging is quite convenient, and because you’re basically getting an entire energy drink in just a little gel shot, I don’t think the intensity of the flavor is unreasonable as a byproduct of that. The texture is thick, not like a paste, but like a liquid gel. Overall, the Nordic branding is a little bit silly as someone who is actually part Norwegian, but it isn’t a bad product at all. It’s just very specific. I’d recommend it if the convenience is important for you, and I’d compare them to five hour energies.

A good workout supplement as long as you enjoy the sour taste.

Definitely an acquired taste and a bit weird, but I do enjoy them and they do deliver on their promise. These gel packs are relatively new to me well I have used similar packs before specifically for long distance running usually they’re full of sugar and very sweet, but in this case although there is some sweetness it’s actually surprisingly sour which may put some people off, but for me because I like sour I quite enjoyed them. The first time I used them of course it was a bit of a surprise due to the unique taste profile, but I had no problem completely using one as it was still a pleasant sensation. One thing to note is the pepper as you will notice a bit of spiciness behind all the sourness, but where you will really feel that spicy peppery taste is in the aftertaste and that taste lasts for quite a while. I must admit I don’t really enjoy the aftertaste too much, but I don’t hate it at the same time so it’s acceptable. These packs are very easy to use as all you have to do is just rip off the top and squeeze out the contents into your mouth simple although when they first arrived I was very confused on why the box was mostly empty, but there was a nice comedic note inside stating that it was their error and the final product later on should have a much more appropriately sized box so I’ll give them a pass on that. Now when it comes to the after effects of these pouches it takes a few minutes to kick in, but when it does it gives a massive energy boost most likely due to the caffeine. In terms of effectiveness as I stated before it gives you a big boost of energy and during my workout I’d say I didn’t do any worse than I did before and the fact that I was pretty much hyper the entire time did help me do quicker sets. As for any changes in my overall muscle mass and growth there wasn’t much of a change, but I’m already well into heavier weights so a change wouldn’t be too obvious, but as a motivator and or way of helping you build up more energy this works well. The effectiveness of the energy also lasts for quite a while as it took me a few hours before I was fully settled down again and unlike some other energy gel that I tried before which left a sickly sick taste of my mouth and made me not want to taste them again I honestly consider going back to these as although the aftertaste is not to my liking sourness is akin to sour candy which doesn’t leave the same impression. Pretty much every supplement that you’re going to go for is going to be relatively expensive and these fall in the same ballpark as all of those so if you’re looking for a non-sweet supplement to boost your energy and possibly improve your overall muscle gain then this isn’t the bad choice as long as you can get over the spiciness in the aftertaste so overall not a bad deal for the money.

The texture is easy to consume, the flavor is enjoyable, and it’s much more convenient than carrying powders or mixing drinks.
