I popped these peachy little tablets into the daily chaos purely out of self-defense: tiny humans, big digestive drama. Right away I liked that I wasn’t wrestling with syringes or mysterious powders; I just handed over a chewable that actually tasted like candy instead of chalky vitamins, and nobody staged a protest at breakfast time. I felt better knowing there were multiple probiotic strains and some prebiotic fiber hiding in there too, so I could pretend I was being a responsible adult instead of bribing my kid’s gut with dessert-flavored bacteria.Over a couple of weeks I started noticing fewer random stomach complaints, less “my tummy hurts” theater, and, to put it delicately, a more predictable relationship with the bathroom. I liked that I didn’t need to refrigerate anything, so the bottle could just live on the counter like a quiet little gut-security system. The dosage felt simple enough that I wasn’t constantly rereading the label trying to figure out if I was about to accidentally turn my child into a science experiment.That said, the flavor is definitely “artificial peach on a mission,” and if I take a whiff too long I feel like I’ve stuck my head in a candy factory. The tablets lean a little chalky, and if a kid doesn’t chew thoroughly they can get that powdery grit that makes them glare at me like I’ve betrayed snack time. I also found the sweetness right on the edge of “fun treat” and “wow, this is a lot for something pretending to be healthy.”The bottle isn’t huge, and I blew through it faster than I expected, which made the price sting more than I’d like for something that looks suspiciously like flavored Tic Tacs. I kept catching myself doing the mental math of cost per day and wondering if each chew was worth a tiny gold coin. I also wished the label gave a bit more hand-holding on long-term use, because I’m that person who wants a clear “yes, keep going” stamped in big friendly letters.In the end I stuck with it because my kid actually takes it without drama, the routine is effortless, and the overall tummy situation seems calmer and less, well, explosive. Cannot get past the terrible flavor…
I am familiar with this brand and have been happy with some of their other products. I really like that these are made in the USA in a GMP facility.I appreciate that these came with a tamper evident seal and an expiry date a couple years out – so I do feel these are fresh.The ingredients also seem good – with each tablet containing 5 billion CFU probiotics, along with 150 mg prebiotics – and I like that these don’t have any added sugar.The reason I had to deduct two stars (and honestly debated deducting three stars) is because I feel these taste absolutely terrible. I don’t really notice the taste at first/when I start chewing – but a couple seconds in this horrible taste starts to become evident, and continues to build as I chew. I’m not really sure how to describe the taste other than awful – so bad that I have to spit them out, almost reflexively. I can’t imagine anyone with functioning taste buds actually enjoying these, especially children.Overall, I feel the ingredients seem good, and I do like this company – but the taste is so terrible I had to pitch these.

Great “med-sin” for kids
My 2.5-year-old takes her “med-sin” daily and always looks forward to it. She’s been potty training and struggling with a bit of constipation, and this has helped regulate her system. On top of that, she enjoys the taste, and it’s easily chewable for her. I also love that this has pro- and prebiotics in it–necessary for both parts to function correctly. Another good note about this: the tablet does disintegrate after a bit in her mouth, also. Sometimes she chews right away, and other times she squirrels it away under her tongue or something. Knowing it’s still melting in her mouth gives a bit of peace of mind that she won’t choke on a hard tablet.

The NewRhythm Kids probiotic Chewables arrived vey well packaged and well within their expiration date code. A review of the ingredients and manufacturing process as described by the supplier reveals a company focused on using good ingredients and producing their product in a safe and tested facility. This product has all the intangibles you want except one big personal one, which is taste. I tried these on several kids ranging from 5 to 11 years old and they all said similar things. It either “wasn’t like a gummie” or it had ” a chalky taste”. I also tried these chewables and really had to agree. For me they did exhibit a kind of chalky taste, not horrible, but noticeable. It is not a bad aftertaste just the texture and initial taste as you chew them. I gave this 3 stars because it is still a good product but needs a significantly better overall taste experience.

I really wanted to like these tablets. They have 5 billion cfu in 1 tablet, which is a great effective dose of probiotics, and they are made in the USA. I asked my daughter to try one to help in writing this review. I’m glad she declined because after tasting these, I’m afraid I would have lost her trust. It may just be a bad bottle, because I cannot imagine they intentionally created these to taste like rotten dairy. I think they are supposed to be peach flavored, but there is not an inkling of peach flavor. They aren’t sweet or fruity at all. I will try again tomorrow, just to ensure my taste buds aren’t going crazy, and update this if the problem was on my end. It’s a good product, the flavor just needs work because I cannot see children, especially, wanting to take these.
