A good dose of standardized turmeric extract
The purported health benefits of turmeric are well documented, if not necessarily scientifically agreed upon. I, for one, believe in the overall health benefits of the spice, and I trust that extracts will be what they say they are and will harness the most effective part of the plant. I have recently been seeing more supplements made in Canada, and so far they are all excellent quality and offer trust and confidence. This New Roots Herbal curcumin is no different.One thing I really like is that the dose is one capsule, not two. This is a good strategy for the company because if they set it at two, a lot of people, myself included, will halve the dose to stretch the supply. One drawback is larger capsule sizes, but that doesn’t bother me at all. These aren’t massive, but they’re not small, either, so if you don’t like larger capsules, keep that in mind. Another drawback, though, is that you can’t halve if you want to, say if a full dose is too much. I had another supplement with turmeric in it and if I took two capsules, I often had a little bit of an unpleasant reaction, digestion-wise. That hasn’t happened taking one of these with a meal. I think the black pepper they include helps with that since it helps with the absorption.

No taste or aftertaste
Considering turmeric and pepper have strong flavors and odors when added to food in the diet, these capsules are amazing for not tasting or smelling like anything at all. I don’t even burp up a flavor later on. They seem like the right color and ingredient list to have an affect on good health. But I just can’t feel anything from it. I take them maybe twice a week and I think it must be like a preventative measure for my health instead of a pill that is solving, helping or affecting a current issue. Easy to swallow for me with water. I like how it’s got the piperine in with the curcumin. I heard that is really good to take together.

Very effective
This is a very effective Curcurmin Tumeric product. It’s something I started without having been on a Curcurmin / Tumeric regimen, and I almost immediately felt relief throughout my body in terms of inflammation. It’s high bioavailability is something I immediately appreciate, as other products or guides regarding Turmeric say it can take up to a few weeks to have an impact in the body. Tasteless, easy to swallow, with water and no other fats taken at the same time.

The advertising is strange, it comes up as 85% curcuminoids, and 95% piperline – which is impossible. Also, I didn’t see any pepper in the capsules, which is most cases should be black and stand out. Try another brand.

On paper, this New Roots Herbal Curcumin Supplement seems to be good, and there is nothing that makes me think otherwise. I have started taking the product and have not had any adverse reactions.I like that the bottle says it’s made in Canada, and also that it is ISO 17025 Laboratory-tested. Other pros listed right on the bottle are they are in a vegetable capsule and non-GMO. It’s also good that they contain piperine which makes absorption of the curcumin better.I received product with 3 year 5 month dating.
