A True Godsend.
You really need to give it longer than two weeks to work. It has a cumlative effect and as with any herb it takes a little while to fully feel the effects. I have been taking this religiously for 4 months and I have never felt better. I would say it took a good two months before I really felt a difference. I didn’t even realize it was working until I realized it was working (if that makes sense). I also take 5000mcg of B-12 and 2000IU of Vitamin D with the 300mg of Rhodiala. My depression seems to have faded away, my memory has improved ten fold and I have a much happier outlook on life. If you’re willing to put in the time to let this work you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend this supplement.

A great herb!
I have been taking Rhodiola for 3-4 years now…I started with 100 mg and after a while noticed that it helped my depression. Originally took for boost of energy. Less sure about energy since I take other supplements but it seemed to work for depression…I stopped taking it for a month or so and the impact was impressive. Started taking again and I noticed gradual improvement…not a MAJOR, direct sort of thing, but subtle. Like sometimes I started to notice that I just really felt good in the moment. Hard to describe. I eventually upped my dosage to 300 mg/day as the 100 mg did not seem to be doing it for me anymore. As someone noted in their review, you do not take a capsule and suddenly feel euphoria!!…it takes 2-3 weeks of consistently taking it on an empty stomach, first thing in morning is best. One thing that was an interesting side effect, at least for me, and apparently not too uncommon, is that I started having caffeine headaches from drinking coffee. Rhodiola reportedly can accentuate the impact of caffeine on your system, so beware, be on the lookout if you suddenly start having headaches so you know why you are getting them. I switched to white peony tea and feel better…white tea has enormous benefits for health as well. Finally, I would note that New Chapter’s product seems to stand heads above the other brands out there…I have tried several and did not feel as good. But like I said, it is a very subjective thing, and much depends on what you are doing with the rest of your life, e.g., exercising, eating well, etc.

Great anxiety and stress handling
I get stressed, over whelmed and have bad anxiety and panic attacks I take two of theses a day(before 2pm cuz I’ve heard they can disrupt ur sleep though for me I have forgot and taken one later in the evening and didn’t have a problem sleeping) and I have ALOT less anxiety, panic and over whelmed feelings. My body seems to process, prepare and handle everyday tasks and stressors much better. I did stop it an noticed a huge difference started feeling over whelmed and having anxiety again. Heard its great for depression which I have also experienced great relief from with this herb. I would recommend anyone to try it start with one and of it seems to help a little or u don’t feel a difference bump it up to two a day. At 300mg two should be good.

This herb lives up the the hype!!!
This herb is the only one I’ve ever taken that I can actually feel. It truly lives up to the hype. I work in a fast paced, stressful job and this product really helps with both physical and mental exhaustion. The effect comes on subtlety and is not as powerful as a prescription drug but really helps my mood, energy level and positive outlook. I really noticed how much it was helping when I ran out and reordered it immediately. The quality is good with New Chapter and the sourcing/extraction methods they use yield better results than some other brands. I take 300 mg a day. Give it a couple weeks try (everyone is different) but I’ve had weight loss, improved mood/energy and stamina as well as more positive outlook on life. Don’t get as overwhelmed with stress of job/new baby/life etc. Best of all, Zero side effects, safe and reasonably priced for the quality. HIGHLY recommend trying this product. Some people start at 100 mg but I started at 300.

This has been an amazing supplement. I have tried a couple supplements and various vitamins and never really noticed any difference, but I suppose that is due to vitamins and such just preventing you from becoming deficient. While my perception of this supplement is one of Performance Enhancement. I did not personally notice All of the benefits this herb touts, however what I did notice made this worth taking. I tend to run sleep deprived and the 2 things I immediately noticed were a lot more dreams and better focus when deprived of sleep. The day I received my first bottle of 300mg in the mail I took 1 pill in the afternoon because I was so excited. I took a 3 hour nap (sleep deprivation) and woke up around 8pm. I felt quite refreshed and ended up staying up till midnight. I went to sleep at midnight and woke up at 4am….. on just 4 hours of sleep I felt amazing like I had a full nights rest. I had an absurd amount of dreams in those 4 hours. It felt like I had more dreams in those 4 hours than I had in the previous 2 weeks combined. I took another one in the morning and have been taking them ever since. I am moderately fit and have a fairly clean digestive tract, so this might be why I experienced changes so fast. I have heard the avg American has 10-15 pounds of crap in their guts so if that’s you then it might take a bit longer to get this stuff in your system. (I have seen some reviews that say it takes weeks to really kick in). I intend to test some other brands for better prices and higher mg. but I would recommend this product in this brand to anyone who wants a mental edge.

Stimulating but EFFECTIVE; Dose needs to be titrated to response
I have used rhodiola off and on for a few years- mainly the New Chapter brand. It is incredibly effective for increasing energy, mood, and motivation. It is also great for combatting stress. Give it at least a week to kick in. It does lose effectiveness over time, so it is best to take time off every few weeks. I stopped using 5htp after I found out that it depletes dopamine. This brand is more effective for me than the Gaia brand. I regret that the 100mg dose was discontinued. The 300 mg dose for me is way too high- my mind was buzzing and I had insomnia on the 300mg. This could be because I am a coffee drinker, too. I will have to take half a capsule. It is easy to open the capsule and empty half into a glass of water. This decreases cost, too. In the past, I have even reduced to taking it every other day (if I start to feel too wired). I have heard that rhodiola is somewhat comparable to MAOI inhibitor antidepressants in it’s mechanism of action.If you struggle with mood, anxiety, or even pain issues., I also HIGHLY recommend magnesium (unless you have kidney disease). It is also a good sleep promoter (take before bed). Magnesium is involved in over 300 enzyme pathways in the body. The word seems to be really getting out about magnesium. The best absorbed forms are citrate or glycinate. It really helped my husband with headaches and back pain, too.It is best to check with your doctor/pharmacist before starting supplements- check for interactions and contraindications (advice from a nursing professor).

I had about 6 bottles and now want to share my experience1. I felt it helped to some extent even when I was having the 1st bottle, that’s why I kept ordering it.2. I have been using rhodiola for feminine health for about 2 years. It really helps me stay calm and not have moody swings. I really love to it be quite honest. Before I startling it I was having strong mood swings before and during menstruation. I take 1 300 mg pill a day starting about a week before AUNT FLOW visits and continue for a day after she leaves. It’s been hard to find a brand that does not use fillers I am very happy with NEW CHAPTER for not changing so far. The pills them selves are not crazy big there slightly bigger then a fast acting Tylenol. For reference in the picture I put a Tylenol and a Ibuprofen next to the 300mg rhodiola
