I’ve always been a fan of Elderberry Syrup but hate the sweet sugar from all other well known drugstore brands so I’ve been known to take capsules instead. Recently, my friend suggested I try New Chapter’s Elderberry Syrup and I’m so glad I took her reco!! It’s seriously lifechanging….Things to note:- You need to refrigerate!- This is my 3rd bottle, one out of the three crystalized because it has REAL honey. I called New Chapter and they said it can happen. All you need to do is: leave it out for a few mins at room temperature, run under warm water or pop in the microwave- New Chapter Elderberry was been top rated by consumer labs based on potency. You can go online and read the results—this stuff is the real deal!!!- I’ve been known to add a few drops to my “end of the work week cocktails!” Haha who doesn’t want immune support in your delicious drink?? It makes sense to me lol

Taste and value for money are both great. This does thicken up A LOT after you put it in the refrigerator & doesn’t pour into a spoon easily afterwards. Rather like the old Heinz “anticipation” ketchup commercial….slow doesn’t begin to cover it. I moved it to the door section of the refrigerator today & will see how that works out tomorrow.

Keeping it in the fridge is a problem.
This product says to refrigerate after opening. When you do that, it will not pour out EVER. I stick a straw into the bottle and suck on that to use it. Otherwise, no problems.

This syrup is so delicious it makes it easy to take daily. When I feel a cold coming on or just for good measure during cold season, I am sure to take this daily. It’s also delicious in a smoothie!

Side Effects
I tested positive for COVID-19 and was told this was a good supplement to boost my immune system as well as recover from COVID symptoms quicker. I’ve been taking 1 teaspoon of the syrup daily for the past 4 days but I’ve began to experience major side effects. The night of day 3, I became very dizzy, massive headache and a little diarrhea. The morning of day 4, I took another teaspoon and the headache and dizziness lingered throughout the day. Although I do feel that I’m recovering from the symptoms of COVID (lack of taste and smell, cough and mild chest pain) after only 5 days, these new symptoms have surfaced and they’re no joke. Headache is not a side effect of elderberry syrup but dizziness is. Perhaps 1/2 teaspoon may have been better for me but I am choosing to discontinue the syrup altogether.
