Following gall bladder surgery I started taking this enzyme. I also suffer from colitis. I can now eat many foods that I previously could not handle. I find I have to eat immediately after taking them to prevent stomach upset. I still must be careful with my diet, but these have helped a lot, even with foods without fat content. I have taken them for about 20 years.
