    I just down it like a shot

    Worked well for me. My iron was low, I took a supplement water everday for a few months before getting tested again. Lab results showed levels elevated to normal range. I plan to continue taking a daily supplement.Taste isn’t an issue for me, I just down it like a shot, but drinking it wasnt a big deal. The unflavored ones are hard to swallow without OJ so I prefer these.I prefer this to iron pills. Pills gave me a terrible backache which I was surprised to learn could be a side effect. No pain or issues with the iron water.On a personal note, I could tell these were helping after 2 weeks. I had the energy to keep up with my toddler…feel like my quality of love has improved because I’m not tired all the time.

    Made a world of difference for me!

    I haven’t researched iron delivery methods enough to fully understand why this iron works so well, but it does. I become anemic in pregnancy so when I became pregnant with #3 and felt my energy quickly decreasing, I started using the iron pills my OB recommended. I felt slightly better, but not much. Iron levels are tested about half way through pregnancy and when mine were tested, they were still at the bottom end of the scale, registering as anemic and I was told I needed to start iron pills- but I had already been taking them for a few weeks!!! My dad recommended Pur Absorb so I switched to it and could tell a difference within two days. So much more energy. The apple flavor does help make it more palatable but I still prefer mixing it in with a fruit juice like cranberry juice to disguise the iron flavor. Highly recommend this product!

    I don’t like it at all

    I have previously used the original/plain version of this. I thought that’s what I was ordering again, but when it arrived, it was the apple flavor. I don’t like it at all. Tastes like blood. The first time I used this product (the plain kind), it did help with my iron count. I hope this one does too. Maybe if I drink it mixed in with some apple juice or punch, it will mask the flavor. Unlike a lot of these reviewers, I do not think it is delicious.

    Best tasting vegan option

    For a vegetarian option, way better tasting than some others I tried, some of which stained my teeth blue!!! I found no metallic taste, easy to take, no refrigeration. I gave it 4 stars because the dosage is pretty low so I needed to double/triple the (1 package) dose because I was anemic, which made it pricier than I’d hoped. Other than that, highly recommend it.

    Added flavor, not good

    Returned item.Had used in the past with great results for mild anemia.Now the company flavors the product and I cannot stand it. I was fine with the original real taste of the iron, this masked citrus or whatever flavors they add are disgusting.If I am buying a product I want it as natural as possible.

    Great liquid iron!

    This product was recommended to me by my doctor for anemia. I don’t tolerate iron in pill form well and she suggested this. I do not have the digestive problems I had with the iron in pill form & felt more energetic when I was taking it. It was also nice because each dose was prepackaged. It made it easy to travel with versus liquid iron in a bottle that you had to have a spoon for. The apple flavor is good – just leaves a slight metallic taste in your mouth after you drink it, but it is easily washed away by a sip of water. Recommend – wish I could find a cheaper source – the price has gone up a lot since I bought it the first time.

But I know there are others in the same position as me and need to hear this.I have been anemic most of my life and pretty much lived through it – I am 44. Over the past few years it became progressively worse, but I was so accustomed to feeling tired and low that I honesty felt it was normal. I was so amazed by my friends who were always hanging out and running errands when all I wanted to do was sleep. I became a couch potato and besides going to work. I ate ice everyday at work and at home.I tried iron pills and to no avail. I decided to try Pur-Absorb as a last attempt to try to get off the couch and get my life back. My energy level was so bad that when i would make it home from work, I could not even cook for my son for the past few years. I started taking Pur-Absorb every morning with orange juice on an empty stomach hoping it would work. OMG, over the first few days I definitely felt more alert and energized.What a change!! I wake up refreshed and have energy for days. I come home from work amd still feel energized! I even cooked for my son TWO days straight after work and still had energy! That was my confirmation. I cannot believe how I was living my life before. I was half the woman I am today and realized I need to share this with others who may needlessly be feeling the same. I had no idea anemia was quietly robbing me of my life! I want everyone to know that if they are feeling the way I was this liquid iron can make a tremendous difference. I plan to continue taking these it for as long as it is available. So glad I found you Pur-Absorb…thank you, thank you, thank you, I would give 10 stars if I could😘 I hope my review helps even one person.

    Best way to take Iron supplement

    My elderly mom struggled with keeping her iron numbers in a healthy range. Anything else caused horrible constipation so we tried Spatone. WOW! We started with one packet per day. Within one year, she was maintaining 14.9 on her blood test and only needing one packet per week. Easy to take! Great results
