Marshmallow Root helps
I have been struggling with my IC for about a year. They finally diagnosed IC several months ago. Before that, doctors treated me for UTI and other things. I have done some research and decided to buy marshmallow root in capsules cuz I didnt think Id be able to drink the tea. The marshmallow root is not a miracle product but after taking it for 2 weeks (2 capsules 3 times a day as prescribed) it helped me a lot to eliminate pain. I feel better during the nights. I still have flares but not 24/7 as before. I dont know it the root would work for anyone with IC but it is worth trying it. I am buying some more cuz the price is very affordable. I also bought Cystoprotek, but have just started taking it 2 days ago, so I cant really tell a difference yet but I have high hopes for the combination of Marshmallow root and cystoprotek because those who have IC know how miserable life becomes without good quality speep. I am overall satisfied with the product

Gets rid of pain during urination for interstitial cystitis sufferers!!
Great for IC patients. I have suffered on and off for 20 years. I have been diagnosed with every female problem know to man before this disease had a name. Back then they had me on cranberry juice and didn’t know diet can effect it. The 6 female or urinary specialist I went to all threw there hands up said they didn’t know, it was in my head or told me I had Urinary syndrome AKA we don’t know! I finally got diagnosed 12 years ago by a new doctor that moved to town. He knew exactly what I had and to confirm did a exploratory and stretched my bladder as well. His finding were worst than expected. I was one of the 8% that developed hunners ulcers. The worst case he had ever seen in his 20 years in business. I was horrified and felt there was no hope. I went on strict IC diet and was put on elmiron which caused severe nausea but back then they didn’t know side effects of elimiron. I was in so much pain I assumed the doc was correct that it was just my endometriosis causing everything. I went through process of a total hysterectomy (which I felt I was a genie pig) at the expert advice of this doctor. I now believe the nausea was side effects of the elmiron……I trusted him and did the surgery out of desperation. I was told it would help and I would have a normal life, I seen this as hope because I was vomiting every morning from the pain and urinating 60’times a day. He was mistaken and I had horrible debilitating pain of IC along with all the terrible side effects of surgically induced menopause. They don’t tell you what happens after just that you will feel better. In and out of ER with thick bloody urine. Never once given pain medication because if you can’t see it then Your treated like your crazy. I did the bladder instillations with lidocaine which helped but again there are side effects. Long term installations are dangerous on bladder and I started leaking urine which is a horrible embarrassment for any woman let alone a 35 year old. Doctors never tell you long term effects! ( Arctic Angelica did stop this ailment which I started taking this year) I finally found a IC support group which gave me hope. I tested suggestions from forums I got on the IC network… Things I’ve tried below that seem to work.marshmallow root- for pain +Cystoprotek -to regrow bladder +Artic Angelica- improved bladder strength (lessens urgency and frequency, heals incontinents )+Quercetin and bromeline -for inflammation speed up healing +Benadryl- to control mast cells to reduce inflammation +Diet- no food that turns acidic in body some you think is low acid accually turns acidic through digestion.Baking soda- quick relief emergencyPrelief- helps take acid out of food for more food optionsAzo- severe pain emergency or for travelingHeating pad for bladder pressure days- ( which really helps!)Pillow for car travel ( cars bumping can be very unnerving)I feel 100 times better and have a life. I put + on the most helpful for me. I use to urinate 50-60 times a day. I only urinate 15 times a day now and just have slight pressure. I use to get up 6-7 times a night now I only get up once. I work part time now and see hope. I am sharing my story to comfort and help other women that have went through this. I am blessed to have faith and family support. There is hope….. some things work for some and not others but this product seems to work for most!

My bladder needs marshmallow root – get it for IC!
I’ve been using this for almost a year and it’s the only “medicine” that works for my interstitial cystitis!!! This supplement plus the IC diet has given me my life back.First, I tried fresh marshmallow root from a local health food store. It made my symptoms so much WORSE!! I tried it several times over a couple of weeks, but it still seemed to be making me more inflamed and miserable. I still ordered this supplement from Amazon. I thought, “how could it get any worse?” I was desperate for relief.Within a few days of taking the marshmallow root supplement, I noticed subtle changes. I wasn’t going to the bathroom quite as much. I was able to make it to a urology appoint in a town about 2 hours away with only one bathroom stop! After several weeks on the supplement, the change was undeniable. I asked my urologist about marshmallow root and she seemed to support using it! I haven’t had to go back to the urology clinic because the marshmallow root is working so well!I’ve had overactive bladder symptoms since childhood and my symptoms have been controlling my life for 10+ years. I’ve been on a prescription overactive bladder med for a few years, and it does help some, but I was still in and out of the bathroom all day almost every day with an overwhelming urge. Then the pain came and over several months it grew to be so intense that I felt like I was being stabbed all over my pelvic region. I felt like I had the worse UTI of my life all the time even through my lab work came back negative for a UTI. I finally realized my symptoms were related to foods – coffee, tomatoes, acids, spicy foods, etc, and that I had IC.I now take marshmallow root twice a day – two pills in the morning and two in the evening. Sometimes I take it three times a day. If I miss even one dose, I remember when I end up in and out of the bathroom all night!I used to go to the bathroom several times every night. I can’t even estimate how many times it was. But now, I usually only go to the bathroom once a night and sometimes I sleep through the night! My urgency has drastically decreased, although if I eat a trigger food it will return, but with less intensity than before. Most days I have no pain or only mild pain. I only get more intense pain if I eat a trigger food – i.e. coffee.I will warn you that your bladder symptoms may initially get worse after starting this supplement, but should get better with time. Think of putting lotion on severally chapped winter hands. At first it burns, but after several days your hands are smooth and the burning is gone.I’m not sure what else to mention, if you have any questions ask me!

Pills don’t want to be swallowed
I have used this to increase the fat content in my milk supply. It does help. But I am switching to a marshmallow root tincture instead, it’s easier to take than these pills. I don’t know why but every time I take pills from this company they get lodged in my throat for at least an hour and give me horrible heart burn. So I always break them open and take them in almond milk instead. But this product has worked for me, I won’t be purchasing it anymore though because of the capsule.

Intersistial cystitis
A life saver for Interstitial cystis.. I suffered decades of living miserably with IC and the only thing that helped slightly was a huge amount of water intake that wouldn’t allow me to leave the house without knowing where & how long it’s gonna take to get to the next restroom. IC controlled my life and my young family’s life. I lived in agony for way too long and could not live that way anymore… I researched natural supplements for inflamed/painful bladder & IC (no Doctor has every mentioned marshmallow root, & I’ve been to many Drs thru the many years of suffering) I found a lot of positive reviews on marshmallow root and I am beyond thankful I ordered this.. I’ve been taking one capsule twice a day for 7 months + and I am absolutely amazed and thankful to having my life back.. everday single day i suffered from pain feeling like I had a uti but no infection, i would urinate blood & tissue and I was constantly needing to empty my inflamed bladder (literally feeling like my bladder was on fire).. I had no relief and it was not only physically unbearably painful but emotionally and mentally painful too. I wish every person who suffers from IC would find this and give marshmallow root a try. The capsules are large and can be difficult to swallow.. I have only taken the capsules but Ive read the tea works well too for people who have difficulty with taking pills. I can not say enough about how much marshmallow root has improved my life.. it has given me my life back and control of my bladder. I still make sure I get enough water intake but I no longer need to live my life around my bladder and where the next restroom is because I’ve been chugging water all day & my bladder is full again or because I constantly have the painful nagging urgency to go when it’s just a little tinkle. I hope that you find the relief from IC that I have and I can only hope & pray that it continues to always drastically help all who suffer from this painful disease.
