   Interesting additional supplement, not a one-stop-shop

   I’ve gotten much more active in my late-40s and am frequently on the lookout for ways to keep active for the next decades before my body gives out on me. I think that having strong bones and muscles is the cornerstone of that game plan, so this particular supplement is particularly interesting to me. The D3-K2 combo is the gold standard for bone health supplements, so this one is really good and even has the boron that few others include. The softgels are easy to swallow and it comes in packaging that makes me confident of the source purity. What I think was a little weird is that for a supplement that bills itself as being for bone and muscle health, that it doesn’t include any calcium and really minimal magnesium, so you’d have to supplement this with either a calcium supplement or some greek yogurt (this is prob a better choice since it gives protein too). This supplement will definitely help with bone growth, but you have to give it the fuel it needs to work.

   I like that this supplement combines vitamin D3 with K2 (MK-7), zinc, and boron in one softgel. The 5,000 IU of D3 is a good option for people who have been advised to take a higher dose, and I like that it uses the MK-7 form of vitamin K2.However, I was disappointed by the magnesium content—it only provides 15 mg, which is a very small amount and doesn’t really make this a meaningful. I also think 5,000 IU of vitamin D is more than most people need for routine daily maintenance unless they have low vitamin D levels or have been specifically advised to take that amount.I would say it is convenient combination supplement with a good D3/K2 formulation, but I would prefer a more substantial amount of magnesium.
