I just opened my package and realized that the bottle was plastic leading me to believe that it’s not the best quality product. If you knew how to produce a good quality product why would you put it in plastic?

Great quality product – cheapened by plastic bottle
This is a good tincture. Smells and tastes earthy. I have sensitivities to a lot of food additives and gluten which are often hidden in processed foods I wouldn’t suspect. Unfortunately, eating in new restaurants is often the culprit for a flair up in gastric upset and I use ribwort to soothe my gastric system.Similar to slippery elm it becomes a gel like consistency when mixed with water, really calming everything down.This tincture worked like a charm. I’m very happy with the results.It’s a good price for the quality.The pros: European made with much stricter regulations than in most countries.The cons: plastic bottle and dropperI refilled I to my own glass bottles as I make and use my own tinctures. No.problem. BUT – I would prefer it if this manufacturer would start bottling in glass in the future as the whole plastic really takes away from an otherwise fantastic product.

The formula is simple: leaf extract, vegetable glycerin, and water, with manufacturer, batch, and best-before information clearly provided.For ribwort plantain, I would like one more meaningful piece of information. Acteoside is a recognized marker compound for Plantago lanceolata leaf, yet Naturalma does not quantify it or provide a comparable measure of the finished extract.The stated 1:5 ratio tells me the relationship used in preparing the extract. It does not show how much acteoside actually ended up in the finished liquid, and extracts made at the same ratio can still differ in their chemical composition. So the ratio is useful preparation information, but it cannot by itself establish what this particular bottle contains in terms of a characteristic marker.I used the full 40 drops in 8 ounces of water. There was essentially no noticeable flavor; what stood out was the heavy, slick glycerin mouthfeel, which I do not find especially appealing. The directions say to dilute the extract in water without specifying how much water to use.A serving is listed as both 40 drops and 2 mL, but the dropper has no volume markings. That makes the 2 mL measurement unusable in practice and leaves counting all 40 drops as the only straightforward way to measure a serving. Suggested use ranges from one to three servings daily with little guidance for choosing within that range.I appreciate the simple formula, clear leaf identification, useful 1:5 preparation information, and good traceability. What keeps this at 3 stars for me is that the finished ribwort plantain extract is not characterized with the marker information that would make the ratio more meaningful. CAUSES ALLERGIES!!!
1 hour after consumption it caused a terrible allergy. These were red itchy papules that went away in only 3 days. Before this, I used plantain juice before and everything was fine.
