I read the reviews for this product and thought “Hey these must be good.”Wrong!I took this product as directed – doubled and even tripled the dose, no effect whatsoever!I am not sure what is compelling these good reviews – I’ve heard the placebo effect might have something to do with it but I can tell you I took10 of these capsules and felt absolutely NOTHING. No relaxation response, no sense of calmness. Nada.I think this Kava Kava thing is like a lot of these supplements – most of them are sugar pills that do nothing but sucker people out of their money or make them believethey are experiencing results.If a person gets a benefit from this product, more power to them. All i know is that I didn’t. REFUND!

This brand of Kava Kava gives a nice relaxing feeling. I need to take 4 of these to achieve a bit of relief. I suffer from insomnia and social phobia..It is an essential component to my routine now..I hope this may help people out there dependent on benzodiazepines who wish to come off but are afraid of protracted withdrawls.My storyIf you are looking for a legal benzodiazepine look elsewhere. I started taking this to help me wean down off a 12 year dependence of xanax(this should work for any benzo such as Ativan or klonopin). This is not nearly as strong a a valium or a xanax or ativan, ect.The effects are a a mellow calming, comfortable feeling. Maybe slightly euphoric.I was taking 1mg of Xanax four(4) times a day. With this brand of Kava Kava AND Picamilon 150 – 90 capsules AND Primaforce Phenibut Bulk Powder 100 Grams tub(I HIGHLY SUGGEST CONSULTING A DOCTOR AND DOING YOUR OWN RESEARCH ON PHENIBUT. IT CAN BECOME HIGHLY ADDICTIVE AND IT’S BENEFITS TURNED INTO AN ADDITIONAL BURDEN RATHER QUICKLY) i was immediately able to reduce my Xanax in half to 2mg per day. DO NOT DO THIS UNLESS UNDER THE CARE OF A DOCTOR.I stayed at 2mg per day for the next 2 months..Taking Kava Kava 4 caps and ~1.5g of phenibut and 150 Picamilon 4 times a day(with folic acid 2500mcg per dose).I am now ready to reduce my xanax down to 1mg per day at the same amount of Kava Kava phenibut and picamilon.I know most people here are wondering why the sloooow taper? The simple answer is because I can and protracted benzo withdrawl is very real and very unpleasant..I’m hoping to be benzo free in 4-5 months after 12 years..I’ll still need something as the original medical problem still exists..Maybe Kava Kava and Picamilon and occasional phenibut will be the answer.

Title says it all really. Standardized extracts are the way to go period. You know how much of the active ingredients you are getting, most of the time you also need to take less than standardized supplements. I find if I use this product every day, it becomes less effective which is a problem with all Kava supplements. I find that a 3 to 5 day break works for me, and it becomes effect again.

Best natural way to relax.
I was afraid this product might not work for me after seeing some of the reviews. After taking in a whole bottle of the stuff and experimenting with doses I have found a good fit. I think a lot of people taking this expect to feel like they took something but this will never be the case with Kava. For me, it’s more of what I don’t feel than what I do. My anxiety slips away for hours, my muscles relax completely and it even helps me with mild sciatic pain.The first time I took this product I took it after a meal like it says on the bottle. I don’t know if this stuff could upset your stomach but I already have stomach issues and recommend anyone who does or isn’t sure to eat first before taking. I only took one pill and it made me feel very relaxed and even brought a pleasant flush to my face. After that I took two, and then two again. Both times I felt nothing. Then I took three and this seems to be the magic number for me. I would never take more than four at a time though.I find it very interesting that the FDA, who does not regulate this product at all, gets to issue a warning on the box. They advise you about the myth of liver damage from this product which has never, ever been researched and holds no validity. I think it’s humorous they try to warn you about a natural root that has been taken by humans for thousands of years but that genetically modified ear of corn you want to grill is perfectly safe and doesn’t need any warning even though it’s spliced with e coli. Pure crap.

It definitely works
It definitely works. I had a couple of rough days ahead of me, and the Kava arrived in the mail just in time. In all fairness, I must say that I took two pills instead of one because, even for a man, I weigh a lot more than most people. So the active ingredients in my dose were at 140 mg, not 70.All that aside, the effect came on in less than a half an hour. Whatever I was worried about had the volume turned down from a 10, down to about a 2 or 3. It did have one extra bonus effect- my libido became really strong- though that could have been my normal libido without the detrimental effects of a high anxiety day. It continued to work on the second day (after two more pills), though this time, not only was the anxiety greatly reduced, but my mood in general seemed to be better. The third day, I didn’t take anything, but I could still feel some of the effects- a carefree mood, strong libido, low anxiety. I can only hope that I use it sparingly enough to not build up a tolerance to it, because this product is fantastic!!!

Makes you a little more social and happy
I bought this and I have to admit I was a but skeptical as I have bought similar products and many of them failed to do as they advertised and had no effects. I don’t know how many it recommended to take but I would recommend experimenting with it to an extent. I took around 4 or 5 at a time. I was expecting for some huge effect to kick in at first and of course that did not happen. After a little but I would say about 30-45 minutes I started to feel a little more happy and social. It reminds me of alcohol slightly but without the intoxicating effects. So it makes you more talkative but not as well as a little but of alcohol. So I would say if sometimes you just need something to boost your mood occasionally these are worth a try but are not going to be like some miracle drug that gets you really high or intoxicated and is legal to everyone. They are not at all addicting. even after taking these and feeling social and happy I was still skeptical of the placebo effect so I had a few friends try them and I noticed an increase in their mood too so the definitely work. So if you are wondering if they do anything the answer is yes they will make you happier and more social for a bit. However if you are trying to get a legal high than you will be disappointed.

I have chronic anxiety and do not like the negative effects of prescriptions meds. These have some effect and eases my symptoms to some degree. After two days in a row of use I seemed to become less receptive to them, but I tend to tolerate sedative medications better than most. I might however recommend these instead of over the counter sleeping medications as they do seem to help me fall asleep easier. It may not be a miracle cure for anxiety, but they do seem to offer some relief to me.

Weak/different brand
Used to get these maybe a half year ago. Product was much better and was a different brand as displayed on the product picture. This isn’t happy camper brand. I took 10 of these and hardly felt anything. Don’t waste your money.
