Enjoyable drink, but hardly matcha
I was very curious to try this “mushroom matcha powder” drink. I love a good cup of matcha, and I have been taking medicinal mushrooms consistently for over 6 years now, so I was hoping to kill two birds with one stone. However, I was also a little worried – matcha has a very fresh, almost delicate flavor, whereas mushrooms are distinctively bitter, so the combination sounded unpredictable. I was very curious as to what this would taste like.The answer… like not much. It has a faint matcha flavor, and a strong coconut milk aftertaste. I couldn’t taste the characteristic mushroom bitterness, which was good, but if you are a matcha lover… this tea is a disappointment.To add to that, the package claims MCT oil as one of the ingredients, but at 0.5 g of fat per serving, it makes me wonder how much MCT oil really is there. There is also no information as to how much mushrooms (powder or extraction) there is per serving.Overall, I wouldn’t trust it as a supplement, due to the total lack of information about amounts per serving. Taste-wise, it is not bad, but as mentioned, it doesn’t taste like matcha either. It’s an OK drink, provided you like the taste of coconut milk. I am sure I’ll enjoy the rest of it, but it’s not something I would have chosen had I tried it before – for the price, there are much better matcha options out there.

My morning staple.
Wow. This is one of the best Matchas I have ever tried, hands down. The ingredients are simple, which is why I ordered it in the first place. I’m am trying to replace my morning coffee with something a little more healthy. I am so happy I took a chance on this. Coffee has made me feel anxious and sometimes jittery, but this has not been the case for me so far. I’m excited to give it a few more days and see if I start to feel any better.It comes unsweetened, which I love. I usually just add some honey and it’s perfect. I love making a big batch ahead of time and keeping it in the fridge so I have iced matcha on hand always. So good!

Pleasantly Enjoyable!
I was pleasantly surprised by this mushroom matcha! I’ve tried mushroom coffees that were rather gross, but this matcha is enjoyable. I am a big tea drinker (Earl Gray, English Breakfast, etc.) but have never actually had pure matcha tea, so this was my first foray. Nevertheless, this was enjoyable, albeit a bit oily on the lips, but something I will definitely be incorporating into my tea rotation, especially given the purported health benefits.

The mushroom matcha powder by Golden Field features good ingredients and it is packaged well in a resealable bag. The ingredients and nutritional facts are clearly listed. It has been very tolerable to me and I have no complaints regarding its taste or texture. If you like tea or other frothy drinks, this might be worth a try. Sweet Flavor, Smooth
I came into this drink as a person who just likes warm beverages. The health benefits of mushrooms is a plus, but really I’m always just looking for another warm drink to sip and relax. I was impressed with the vanilla-y after taste. This powder made a smooth drink that was on the sweet side. I don’t think any sweetener is needed as it is quite dessert-like. I also think this tea is quite thick when made as directed. I would say 1/2 Tbsp per 10 oz glass is a better proportion. I think this tea would make a wonderful affogato.The color of the tea is a matcha green color, however the foam on top has a slight brown hue to it.
