Clumpy & tastes sickeningly sweet.
Only giving this a 4/5 because it’s a good value for what you get. And unlike other whey protein powders, this one surprisingly keeps me full. Downsides; doesn’t blend well. I use a blender bottle and i was still swallowing chunks after blending the powder for what seemed like forever. It also has a very artificial chocolate taste. It’s not like a regular chocolate taste. It reminds me of the cheap .25cent Cadbury eggs i used to get for easter as a kid. Very very sweet it’s kind of off-putting, I hate wasting product so I’ll finish this powder and switch to a different kind. Definitely wouldn’t buy again. Would only recommend if you’re on a budget.

Good Chemical Makeup
This is a solid whey protein as far as what you’re getting inside of it. It’s very versatile, it can be used as a meal replacement for people trying to lose weight, it can also be very beneficial to heavy lifting. It is not entirely clear based on the packaging of the 2.2 lb whether or not this is in fact isolate.As far as mix and flavor are concerned there’s a lot to be desired. The mix was better than some other whey proteins as far as mixability, but it does still leave some clumping.For the flavor, it’s almost as if someone described to somebody what chocolate tastes like and they did a really good job of trying to make that description work. But if somebody handed you a chocolate bar and it tasted like this you’d probably tell them it was bad chocolate. Also, if you’re drinking this before you go to the gym, it might make you a little gassy.Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it based on its flavor. But I would definitely recommend it for its makeup.

Muscletech vs Optimum
I did a comparison based solely on cost ($ per gram of protein). This powder is 7.5 cents per gram,and the Optimum Nutrition powder, which I tried before, is 6.4 cents per gram.In my opinion, the Muscletech Powder makes a much tastier drink, so it’s worth spending a little extra!
