Very “fishy” tasting, and I burp up “fish” for hours after taking the pills. I take the pills with food.

Gross. I have been taking another brand of vegan omega so I’m not new to the algae-based supplements. They give fish burps. It’s horrible. I’ve tried morning and night and it still happens. I’m m going to try to get my money back.

I really wanted to like this product because of the high EPA content but the fishy after taste is way too much. Hours later and it’s still there. It’s advertised as not being fishy but it is. I could have lived with it if it wasn’t so bad. I had put it in the refrigerator after it was delivered and tried it the next day. I can’t tell if it went rancid during shipping or if this normal. I don’t feel so good hours later so won’t be taking any more of it.UPDATE: I changed this review because the customer service was so good and I was given a full refund. Maybe I just got a bad batch or something happened during shipping.

Legitimately a health hazard
I wanted to give this Omega-3 supplement a chance despite it’s mixed reviews because I’ve been looking for a good Algae based Omega-3 and this is pretty much the only one on the market I have seen that provides 1g of 1:1 DHA and EPA while most every other Algae based Omega-3 is really high in DHA and low in EPA, but unfortunately I believe there is something seriously wrong with this Omega-3.Upon receiving the bottle in the mail the first thing I did was refrigerate it after opening it and taking my first serving of 2 pills for the day. The pills do have a slight marine smell, but nothing that I would call strong or repulsive. They didn’t really taste funky either, so overall no signs that would indicate them being rancid. The first day or two I felt okay, I did experience some fishy burps as others have reported despite the company claiming that these do not cause fishy burps, but it wasn’t until the third day that things started feeling really wrong.All of a sudden, it felt like my body was in complete and total chaos. The fishy burps got worse, I started feeling nauseous, bloated and having acid reflux, my stools were soft, borderline diarrhea, my chronic lower back and neck pain started flaring up, and probably worst of all I started having brain fog and a lack of concentration. Now I am a young and healthy male who always gets perfect scores during their yearly physical exams and before I started taking these Omega-3 supplements I felt completely fine, but after I started taking these the days that followed felt like my body was completely out of control. Now luckily for me I quickly recognized these symptoms and immediately stopped taking these as it is not the first time I have experienced these symptoms after having taken rancid Omega-3. Normal, good quality Omega-3 makes me feel great, but rancid Omega-3 makes my body feel like it’s gone haywire. It’s been a few days now after I stopped taking it and I’m already starting to feel better but not quite at 100% yet.In conclusion, I firmly believe these Omega-3 supplements were rancid on arrival. I don’t know if it’s an issue during the production process or with the storage and handling, maybe the fault lies with Momentous or maybe it lies with Amazon, but either way something is seriously wrong with these Omega-3 supplements and these need to be recalled and taken off the market ASAP. I highly advise anybody reading this to not buy these and look elsewhere. I would give this 0 stars if I could.

It’s difficult to find a good quality VEGAN Omega 3. This hits the spot. You still will probably burp but at least it’s not fish! More of a veggie burp. I did a lot of research and found this one luckily on Amazon.

Great blend of 500mg of DHA and EPA each!
I have been looking for a vegan Omega 3. The previous product I was using didn’t move the needle when I had a blood test. After some research, I chose this product because it has 500mg of DHA and EPA each. Normally, I haven’t seen a product give this much EPA so I was happy to find it. The product is super easy to take: just two capsules per day. I freeze them and take them with food which has helped cut down on the occasional fishy burp I may experience. Be warned, if you are put off by fish odor, you may be any to look elsewhere as you will get that taste if you don’t pop them back into your throat. Like I said, though, popping them into the freezer helps with the taste and odor. You get sufficient capsules for a month. I expect these to be effective and give me some positive results when I test my Omega 3 through Quest. I’ll try to update this review either way.
