great concept but the doses don’t impress me

I like the concept, and the softgels are super easy to swallow. However, it takes 4 softgels to get 1,000 mg lysine, 2,000 IU D3, 15 mg zinc, and 90 mg vitamin C. That’s ok, but not especially impressive for a four-pill serving. My bigger disappointment is the herbal blend. Oregano, elderberry, garlic, echinacea, quercetin, and olive leaf sound like a dynamite blend, but all six combined total just 60 mg per 4-softgel serving. Concentrated extracts can work at small doses, but without individual amounts or standardization, there’s no way to know whether these are meaningful doses or basically “fairy dust.”The full 4-softgel serving contains 2.5 g of total fat. The “other ingredients” are MCT oil and black seed oil (plus gelatin, glycerin, etc.). So whatever black seed oil is present has to fit within that ~2.5 g oil/fat payload—and it’s sharing that space with MCT oil.Because MCT oil is listed before black seed oil, there’s presumably more MCT than black seed oil. So even in the most generous interpretation, you’re probably getting less than ~1.25 g black seed oil per four capsules, and potentially far less. We simply can’t know from this label. That matters because black seed oil is one of the more interesting ingredients here, yet the manufacturer doesn’t disclose its dose at all.Overall, this is better viewed as a lysine + D3 + zinc + vitamin C supplement with a little herbal support rather than a comprehensive herbal immune formula.

Excellent All-in-One Lysine Formula with Great Value

I’ve been using this L-Lysine Guard supplement for several weeks, and overall I’ve been very happy with it. What stands out most is that it’s much more than a basic lysine supplement. Instead of having to take multiple separate products, this formula combines lysine with Vitamin C, Vitamin D3, Zinc, and several well-known botanical ingredients in one convenient serving. The softgels are easy to swallow and gentle on the stomach. I prefer these over powders or large capsules, and the addition of MCT oil and black seed oil gives the formula a premium feel. I’ve had no issues incorporating it into my daily routine.I also appreciate the comprehensive ingredient profile. The combination of oil of oregano, elderberry, garlic, echinacea, quercetin, and olive leaf extract makes this feel like a complete wellness supplement rather than a single-purpose product. It’s nice knowing I’m getting multiple supportive nutrients from one serving. The value is excellent as well. With 300 softgels providing a 75-day supply, one package lasts quite a while. That’s a big advantage compared to many supplements that require frequent reordering. In terms of results, I’ve found it to be a solid addition to my overall wellness routine. It provides steady daily nutritional support without any unnecessary extras, and the quality of the product gives me confidence in what I’m taking.Overall, this is a thoughtfully formulated, high-quality supplement that combines lysine with a variety of complementary ingredients in an easy-to-take format. Great value, convenient dosing, and a comprehensive formula make this an easy 5-star purchase for me. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Clean and Odorless Softgels with great Value but Missing Expiration DateClean and Odorless Softgels with great Value but Missing Expiration Date

The supplement arrived packaged in a stand up pouch containing three hundred total softgels. Looking closely at the back supplement facts, the recommended serving size is four softgels daily for best results, which delivers one thousand milligrams of L-Lysine Hydrochloride per serving. Because the total count is three hundred, this single pouch provides exactly a seventy five day supply, which offers a great overall value. The formula is exceptionally clean for individuals with dietary restrictions or sensitivities, as the label highlights that it is completely free of soy, dairy, and gluten. When you open the resealable pouch, the contents fill it roughly half full. The softgels themselves are completely free of any harsh chemical smells or bad odors, which is impressive given the inclusion of strong ingredients like garlic and oil of oregano. However, the physical size of these softgels is quite substantial, matching the diameter of a twenty five cent quarter coin. Because they are so large, individuals who generally struggle with swallowing bigger pills or supplements might find taking four of these daily to be a bit challenging.Looking deeper into the other ingredients listed on the back, the formula utilizes medium chain triglyceride oil derived from coconut oil, black seed oil, softgel gelatin, glycerin, added color, sunflower lecithin, beeswax, and purified water. It explicitly warns that it contains tree nuts and coconuts, which is a critical piece of information for anyone managing specific food allergies. One important detail to note upon examining the physical packaging is that there is no visible expiration date printed anywhere on the pouch. There is a SKU number and some kind of barcode printed on it, but the label does not state exactly what that barcode represents. On a positive note, the manufacturer did include clear customer support contact information directly on the packaging if you ever need to reach out with questions.

Requires 4 large capsules per servingRequires 4 large capsules per serving

I was excited about these because they contain so many good ingredients, but then I realized how many I’d capsules I’d have to swallow and what very small amounts of most ingredients is in this, and I’m much less excited. I don’t love swallowing large capsules on my best day, but when I’m not feeling well, it can be impossible to get something this large down once, let alone four times.I usually take 640mg of Lysine from a well-known company in a dark blue bottle. That only requires 1 capsule. So I could understand this being a serving size of two capsules for the addition of small amounts of other immune-boosting ingredients, but this just seems like a LOT to get down. And this doesn’t list how much Black Seed oil it contains so I’m curious if its an even smaller amount than the 60mg they listed with a “proprietary mix” of Oregano, Elderberry, garlic, echinacea, quercetin, and olive leaf. I would have liked a LOT more than 60mg of that mix to be contained in such a huge serving. So, while I expected to love this and use it often, the reality for me is that I doubt I will use more than 1 capsule a day, which may not be enough to make a difference. And I have purchased Micro Ingredients products before, but it seems like they have less manufacturing and testing information available now than I am comfortable with. They don’t list where this is manufactured or third party tested, let alone any results. I would not purchase this again both because of the lack of quality information and the small amount of beneficial ingredients per capsule. The bag I received in July 2026 expires in June 2028.

Great L Lysine Supplement with ExtrasGreat L Lysine Supplement with Extras

I like to use L Lysine and got these because of the thoughtful inclusion of other supplements along the way. The softgels also include vitamin C, vitamin D3, zinc, oregano, elderberry, garlic, echinacea, quercetin, and olive leaf along with the 1000 mg of L Lysine. The softgels are very easy to swallow and you get so many on the package. The serving size is 4 softgels but it is still a great supply. The price is very reasonable and they seem to work well. No side effects so far and there is no bad taste or smell.
