Writing reviews for supplements and things like gummies is not easy, mainly because the effects / benefits one receives when taking them is often subtle and spread out over time. These are not doctor prescribed medications so they don’t have more obvious / immediate results. You can take a narcotic that a doc gives you or some natural supplement that helps with pain management, but the differences are going to be stark. Supplements are generally a way to avoid taking those sometimes harsher, caustic and potentially habit-forming medications a professional might prescribe – or at least that’s how I view them. But you can’t pop a couple pills of broccoli extract (or whatever) and expect to be wowed by the results. You might even take a supplement or chew a gummy for an entire month and never really see or feel the benefit. It doesn’t mean there’s nothing good going on, it just means the effects are more subtle and subdued. Things that work so well you can quickly see results we aren’t allowed access to, so we have to utilize products like this one, that may or may not actually be doing anything except making our urine a little darker after our body processes it. I’m not saying one way or another if I think this supplement did anything for me, because I honestly don’t know. I take the suggested amount on a daily basis, almost without fail, and I do so with fingers crossed that SOMETHING good is happening as a result.It’s also worth noting that I was not around when this product was made, packaged, etc so I can’t possibly know, or speak about, the quality of it. They can make claims about purity and so on but there’s no way I could possibly know or verify the truth to any of their claims. Believe it if you want, that’s entirely up to you. So here goes:These are very easy to swallow, and since I do so with water already in my mouth I cannot speak to how they might taste.As for price and value go, the breakdown is something like this: this gigantic bag contains 240 softgels with the recommended dosage being 4 day. Apparently My Supplements Are Becoming a Whole Collection 😂
My supplements are starting to need their own cabinet. 😂I picked up these Micro Ingredients Glycine softgels because I liked that the formula combines glycine with magnesium glycinate and omega-3 instead of adding several more separate bottles to my routine.**Ease of use is a big plus for me.**I prefer softgels, and I also like that I don’t have to mix a powder into anything or deal with a strong taste. With 240 softgels in the bag, you get a substantial amount, which also makes the value for the money pretty good in my opinion. But baby these capsules are big!! Do with that what you will.As far as effectiveness and sleep quality, I’m not going to take something for a few days and suddenly tell everybody I’ve discovered the secret to the best sleep of my life. However considering I’m perimenopausal I am sleeping better. 😂 I want to use it consistently for a while before deciding whether I’m noticing a meaningful difference. But so far so good.The same goes for side effects. Supplements can affect everyone differently, so I’ll update my review if I notice anything worth mentioning as I continue taking it.For now, I like the convenience, the combination of ingredients, the large package size, and the fact that I’m not dealing with another supplement that tastes like somebody ground up the backyard. 😩😂Now I just need to figure out where I’m going to PUT all these supplements.Because apparently buying them is the easy part. 😂

The label lists 100 mg of magnesium glycinate, yielding 14 mg of elemental magnesium.✔ I also appreciate the inclusion of MCT oil from coconut oil, which serves as the carrier oil.As a master herbalist, I like seeing ingredients that make sense together. Spectacular value with quality ingredients
Micro Ingredients has put together a nicely rounded combination of calming ingredients at a very reasonable price point at $14 for 240 softgels. At 4 pills a dose, that’s roughly 2 month supply and I think that makes Micro Ingredients’ Glycine one of the most cost effective supplements. I normally take 2 a day, as I find that dosage is plenty effective enough for my needs, so I can technically stretch a bag for up to 4 months.The softgels are rather large, roughly an inch in length (the package also has a sizing diagram on the back), but they’re a smooth softgel so they go down fairly easily. A softgel is honestly a nice step up from the raw bulk powders of magnesium glycinate that I’m used to, since you skip having to deal with mixing and downing a glass of questionable tasting liquid.Glancing at some research, the omega-3s from flaxseed oil offer great structural and inflammatory support and apparently that works real well in tandem with magnesium glycinate and its high bioavailability. I saw studies that used anywhere from 1000mg to 3000 mg of glycine, and generally it seems people favor a higher dose, but I’ve been happy with a much smaller dose (thus why I only take 2 pills a day). I generally feel much less anxious and much more relaxed when it comes to bed time. Obviously it’s only a part of the solution, as it takes a whole winding down routine, but I do believe the ingredients are effective. Overall, I’m really pleased with Micro Ingredients’ formulation, both in efficacy and in cost.

I’ve been very pleased with this glycine supplement. At first, I didn’t know much about Glycine, so I researched it and I was quite impressed with all the health benefits. I wish I had been taking this years ago!! I’m very impressed with the results so far! You feel a difference right away! One of the main reasons I chose this brand was the soft gel format. I’ve seen the powders before, and while they work fine, it’s much more convenient to simply take a couple of soft gels without having to measure, mix, or deal with any taste. The soft gels are smooth and easy to swallow, and I appreciate that this formula combines glycine with magnesium glycinate and omega-3 from flaxseed oil. Having multiple quality ingredients in one supplement is a nice bonus. The ingredients appear to be high quality, and I like that the product is non-GMO, gluten-free, third-party tested, and manufactured in a cGMP-compliant facility. Those details give me confidence in the product’s quality and consistency. The large pouch is another advantage. With 240 soft gels included, it provides a generous supply and excellent value compared to many similar supplements on the market. I’m splitting the bag with my husband.
