Easy to take and no side effects.
I need to supplement with selenium and want a food based product so tried this one and so far so good. I’m taking 2 tablets to get 100 mcg per day, as therapeutic dosages are in upwards of at least that and up past 200.Will do this for a while then reduce to the one pill at 50mcg. Is anyone else doing this?

Hard to find the lower dose
I’m a boomer. This means I have Medicare.That means that my M.D literally stands in the door for my wellness visit and never actually touches or physically examines me.So I do as much for maintaining my health myself as possible.My fingernails were literally starting to detach from my nail bed. Scary! After extensive research I found several articles that related a selenium deficiency to this particular problem.Articles also mention that you can get too much of this and have almost the same symptoms as when you have a deficiency.I decided to experiment and try taking a low dose and see if it helps.All of the other supplements are a much higher dose. I wanted a low dose that I could try and see if it helped without causing problems.This product actually helped with my problem. The ‘V’s’ at the top of my nails where they were detached are decreasing as my nails grow out. I take it every 2 days.I’m quite pleased with this product and with the results.I have added it to my medical profile with my M.D. and received an email confirming that he knows I am taking it.If you are looking for low dose selenium I think this is a quality product.
