This is NOT like other MaryRuth gummies!
I plan on updating this review 3-6 months from now to reflect on any health updates BUT, I needed to say this right now. I’ve been a MaryRuth customer for 5 years and I love their products – mostly because I hate taking pills and their liquid/gummy versions are lifesavers. I take their biotin gummies, and their vitamin D gummies, and both are incredible. My vitamin D levels are officially in a healthier range, and my skin/hair/nails look and feel so much better. This iron gummy however is VERY different. It does have a medicinal grape taste (if that’s what you’re into), but it has a grainy/powdery consistency. I’ve been taking it for 3 days now and I can tell you I hold my breath and my nose when chewing and swallowing. It’s not good. Plain and simple. I almost gagged on the first day. But I trust this company so much, and am so relieved that I found a gummy iron WITH vitamin C (their liquid doesn’t have the additional vitamin C), so I’m gonna continue taking it unless I run into horrible side-effects (which has never happened to me with MaryRuth products). Just wanted to let anyone reading this review know that this IS NOT like their other gummies. It’s odd, it’s metallic, it’s grape-y, it’s hard to chew if you don’t like certain textures, but I’m willing to bet money I’ll feel a positive difference in my body come March 2026. And anything is easier than swallowing a damn pill (hence the 4 out of 5 stars).UPDATE in June of 2026 – Been taking this every day since October of 2025. Forgot to take it on multiple days but I’ve gone through four bottles so far. Ferritin went up by 26 points and iron went up by 18 points! Not claiming that this alone helped my ferritin level, but clearly it makes a difference. Ferritin was going up by a single ng/mL every year for three years when I took the liquid iron, and last Spring it was only 9ng/mL. And now boom – up by 26 in less than a year. Changing this to five stars because who cares about the taste as long as it’s working for me!

Won’t repurchase, but not terrible
I really like this brand for the quality of their products – but they’re also pretty expensive. So far, it has been hit or miss as far as the taste and texture go with their gummies. These are a miss for me. They have a nice chew (not rock hard), and the initial taste is okay … but then it kind of fades into this weird chalky medicine taste that coats your entire mouth. You can tell it’s an iron supplement – it has this weird “iron” aftertaste … I’m also not really sure this has enough iron in it to actually make an impact if you’re naturally iron deficient. I wouldn’t buy again, but I’ll use what’s left in the bottle.

Great Customer Service
**Updated: I am amending this review based on the great customer service. I love other MaryRuth supplements like their kids and adult fiber gummies but this one had a strong taste, metallic and not one I would purchase again. I know iron is prone to a strong aftertaste so I may just be sensitive to it. The company took the time to reach out to me and ask about what could be improved which shows their attention to their products and company. Super rare to find that these days. As I said earlier, I wouldn’t buy these again but still buy their other supplements.

Good option for a supplement gummy
I can’t stand taking large “horse pills,” so these gummies have been a game changer for consistency. They’re a little thick and do taste like iron, but that’s expected. These are the only iron gummies I’ve found that I genuinely like. I’ve had issues maintaining my iron levels in the past and haven’t experienced any problems since starting these

Easy to take and gentle on stomach!
I’ve tried several iron supplements over the years, and these MaryRuth’s Iron Gummies are by far my favorite. They’re easy to take, taste great, and don’t have the unpleasant aftertaste that many iron supplements do.What I appreciate most is that they’re gentle on my stomach. Iron supplements can sometimes cause digestive discomfort, but I haven’t experienced that with these gummies. They’ve made it much easier to stay consistent with my daily iron intake. If you’re looking for an iron supplement that’s convenient, tasty, and easy on your stomach, I highly recommend giving these a try!

Taste was unbearable
I really wanted to like these because I usually love MaryRuth’s products, but the taste was awful. Every time I tried to take one, I gagged and couldn’t make myself finish it. I know taste is subjective, but these just weren’t for me.Unfortunately, since supplements can’t be returned once opened, I ended up wasting my money. If you’re sensitive to strong or metallic flavors, I’d keep that in mind before purchasing.

Taste fine. A good way to get more iron.
They taste perfectly acceptable. My 8 year old didn’t complain about flavor. They dont taste as good as other gummy vitamins but for a gummy vitamin with iron they are very good.

Tastes far better than liquid iron
Previously was using liquid iron drops inside of a drink, they tasted awful and it was so hard to get them down. These mask the flavor much better, however they have a slightly chalky texture.
